Actor and ever-present gem Jeff Goldblum has one of the most distinct and unique voices in the business, with a pattern that is jazzy and riffy and a cadence that is both curious and sexual. So who better than to sell the sleekest products out there? As it turns out, Jeff Goldblum did indeed serve as spokesman for Apple in the late ‘90s and early 2000s, and it may have never happened without Steve Jobs himself.
Jeff Goldblum once revealed that he was hand-picked by Apple’s co-founder for the ad gig, even though he had no idea who he was talking to at the time. “Steve Jobs called me up a few decades ago to be the voice of Apple. That was early on, and I did not know it was Steve Jobs.” With that, Goldblum would get to work selling MacIntoshes, iMacs and more to the masses. In...

Ted Season 2 is moving into production quicker than fans may have expected. Scott Grimes, who stars in the prequel series as Matt Bennett, recently revealed that the cast and crew have already reconvened for the first table read of Season 2.
In a post on Instagram, Grimes announced that the first readthrough of Ted Season 2 had happened. "I may or may not be half naked in the first episode. Please watch anyway," his caption added. The post also included several pictures of the venue where the table read took place, as well as the cast and crew's personal table cards, which feature the titular stuffed bear in the bottom right corner. Seth MacFarlane's production company, Fuzzy Door Productions, also shared on Instagram that "#tedSeason2begins" with a video of the cast reuniting, as well as an image of the Season 2 premiere script (with Ted's paw covering the episode's title and...

Ted creator Seth MacFarlane recently shared why a second season of the Peacock series isn't guaranteed.
"I think we felt after Ted 2 that maybe the appetite for Ted in that forum was not quite as ravenous as it was after the first movie. So I don’t know, there would have to be a reason to do it," MacFarlane told TheWrap. "There has to be an audience for something like this. You don’t want to just keep rehashing the same character if no one’s watching. I guess there’s a lot of that today anyway, but it’s not really our first order of business, there really has to be an appetite."

Despite the lack of a Ted 3 movie, audiences can look forward to a Ted prequel series set in the 1990s, providing a new perspective on the lovably foul-mouthed teddy bear and John. Legal issues and the underperformance of Ted 2 at the box office contributed to the delay of Ted 3, leaving the franchise to take a different approach with a TV series. The Ted prequel series offers a fresh direction for the franchise, allowing for new storylines and character development, while also giving opportunities to young actors. Fans can expect the same hilarious and R-rated humor that made the movies popular.
Ted 3 isn't happening, despite many viewers clamoring for Seth MacFarlane's Ted movies to become a trilogy. However, while 2015's Ted 2 won't be getting a sequel, a Ted prequel series has already wrapped production. The upcoming comedy series by Seth MacFarlane, who will also return to provide the...

Raj met Siri in a dream in The Big Bang Theory, but the actor who appeared as Apple’s virtual assistant was a relative unknown. Raj was perceptually unlucky in love in The Big Bang Theory. For the first few seasons of the popular sitcom, Raj couldn’t even talk to women. The character suffered selective mutism that made dating a nightmare, although this eventually cleared up in later seasons. Raj did end up single in The Big Bang Theory finale but, with Sarah Michelle Gellar as his date for a Nobel Prize ceremony, it is fair to suggest that he was happy.
While The Big Bang Theory’s next spinoff might expand on Raj’s love life, one of his silliest romantic misadventures happened in season 5, episode 12, “The Beta Test Initiation.” In this outing, Raj fell in love with Siri, the virtual assistant on his iPhone. He later met...

We take a closer look at how this modern retelling of epic poem Beowulf gets creative with point-of-view.
The Mere Wife by Maria Dahvana Headley does what the best genre stories can: illustrates the real world in a new way through fantastical elements.
A retelling of Beowulf, the new novel from Susan Bennett combines evocations of monsters and myths with the contemporary story of the clash between two suburban mothers—one an affluent housewife, the other a war-haunted veteran. But it is The Mere Wife's use of the collective point-of-view—in particular, a group of five women serving as both a classic Greek chorus in addition to characters in their own right, as well as the perspectives of an ancient mountain—that is the novel's most unique and powerful element.
I was initially skeptical that The Mere Wife would suit my usual genre-heavy reading tastes. As it turns out,...
