The Day After Halloween (no relation to the Australian film Snapshot which was released in the US under that title) actually opens on Halloween as Addison (Danny Schluck; Street to Table) and Hayes (Brandon DeLany; Air: The Musical) prepare for their Halloween celebrations. First with a special selection of films at the drive-in Addison runs. Then at an after-party just like every year.

This year however there’s a complication. When they wake up they find a dead body (Aimee Fogelman; Don Jon) in their bathtub. Judging by the marks on the body foul play was involved, and worst of all she was Addison’s girlfriend up until the night before when they had a messy breakup. This week is a bit of a quiet one all around on the horror front, but with the Halloween season fast approaching, we promise you this is merely the quiet before the spooky storm…

Here’s all the new horror arriving August 22 – August 28, 2022!

First up, we may be a couple months away from Halloween but a new indie horror movie titled The Day After Halloween kicks off the season on VOD this Tuesday, August 23rd.

The film is being billed as “The Hangover meets horror.”

Directed by Chad Ostrom, and written by Danny Schluck, “this frighteningly fun genre treat sees two lifelong buddies forced to unravel the circumstances that led to a corpse in their bathtub in the wake of a Halloween party.
