Teddy Valdes was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to two Puerto Rican parents. Teddy attended John Jay High School in Brooklyn. He later moved to Arecibo, Puerto Rico where he attended Maria Cadilla de Martinez High School (La High Vieja) for 3 years then National College in Arecibo for 2 years, joining the Air Force soon after. He has several film credits to his name.
Teddy Started acting but was not necessarily discovered in 2006 in theatre productions. His first on-screen role was as a Bar-keep in the 2008 film, "The Man Who Came Back" starring Eric Braden and Billy Zane.
