Thanks to the science and CGI technology employed on Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior," you can actually watch them do battle and find out.

The show analyzes historical and modern warriors and their weapons, creating a head-to-head fight between two legends of the battlefield to determine which one reigns supreme.

Fans got a special treat at the San Diego Comic-Con as the "Deadliest Warrior" panel presented the ultimate battle between Vampires and Zombies. Might the show have found the perfect matchup in transitioning from television to the big screen...? We'll have to wait and see, as the premise of the upcoming "Deadliest Warrior" movie that Shawn Levy ("Night at the Museum," "Real Steel") may be directing for Paramount is currently being kept under wraps.

Everyone knows full well that the most dangerous warrior of all is an overmaxed Bastet Warder, but despite our repeated, well-reasoned letters to Spike TV, the network appears intent on moving forward with another season of their show, Deadliest Warrior.

The new season sounds as exciting as ever, with match-ups that are the stuff dreams are made of...if you're anything like us and happen to dream about vampires fighting zombies. Here's what we learned out about the conflicts you've always wanted to see play out:

We're less than two weeks away from the 2011 San Diego Comic Con, and convention organizers have finally released the schedule for the first day of programing. Comic-Con International has unleashed the full schedule for Wednesday and Thursday for the San Diego Comic-Con 2011, and there is going to be a ton of stuff to keep you incredibly busy and entertained.

Like I've been saying it's never to early to start planning, and there is a ton of stuff here that we are looking forward to checking out. I've gone through the list and put exclamation points next to all of the events that we are looking forward to attending. What panels and events are you looking forward to?

If past years are any indication, Comic-Con will begin releasing its official 2011 panel schedule later today (Wednesday) with the schedule for Preview Night, Wednesday, July 20. If that happens then we can expect them to follow suit for the rest of the days, so that Thursday will see the release of the Thursday of Con schedule, etc., through Sunday.

Once the official schedules are posted these “TV and Movie Panels and Screenings Updates” will be scaled back to just the date, time, title, and location, since the rest of the information and So Much More (including comics panels, autograph signings, etc.) will be available on the Comic-Con schedule link we’ll provide. Consider this, then, the last of the extremely long posts, and hopefully we’ll be getting that official schedule soon.

Spike TV‘s hit show, Deadliest Warrior, will take a break from the normal format of pitting two historical figures/warriors against each other, and focus on two fiction armies of the undead in Vampires vs. Zombies. Who will win?

Deadliest Warrior steps outside the confines of history for a special fantasy episode featuring an array of icons from film and fiction who are experts on the topic. Experts representing Team Zombie and Team Vampire will join the Deadliest Warrior team of Richard “Mack” Machowicz, Geoff Desmoulin and Dr. Armand Dorian to make their case for who is, indeed, the fiercest.

The guest star experts include Max Brooks (World War Z), Steve Niles (30 Days of Night), Scott Bowen (Vampire Survival Guide) and Matt Mogk (founder of the Zombie Research Society).

To signal the popularity of vampires and zombies, they will square off in a special episode of Spike TV’s Deadliest Warrior this summer. The hypothetical cage-match show usually takes classic combatants such as the ninja and the roman centurion, or modern figures like the Yakuza and the Mafia and talk to historians and experts to gather data and tests to determine who would win head-to-head battles such as fighting style, weapons used, training and skills. In the end a dramatization of the match is acted out based on the findings.

Zombies have made a big push in recent years from The Walking Dead comic book and television series, to the Left 4 Dead video game. Vampires meanwhile have become ubiquitous dominating every genre from film (Twilight), TV (True Blood, Vampire Diaries, Being Human) to comics (American Vampire)

This summer Deadliest Warrior will conduct one hour-long fantasy episode using film and fiction icons as the warriors.

This summer Spike TV will answer a question that has long plagued horror fans: Who's the "Deadliest Warrior" - Vampires or Zombies?

Paramount Pictures announced today it has made a deal for Shawn Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment to do a big-screen adaptation of sister company Spike TV’s original hit series Deadliest Warrior. The announcement comes on the heels of the show’s Season 2 finale, which brought about exceptional ratings for the network. Spike TV has renewed the series for a third season.

This partnership by Paramount and Spike TV marks the first time that the Viacom owned companies have worked together.

“Spike has some of the most innovative and forward-thinking content on television today, “Deadliest Warrior” being no exception. The property has proven its ability to engage audiences across multiple platforms,”

said Paramount Film Group President Adam Goodman.

“We hope this is the first of much future collaboration with Spike.”

Spike renews their hit original series Deadliest Warrior for a third season History's most lethal combatants will continue the fight for ultimate supremacy as Spike TV renews Deadliest Warrior, the network's first original franchise hit, for a third season. It was announced today by Sharon Levy, executive vice president, original programming, Spike TV. The series has averaged 1.6 million viewers over it's first two seasons, the most recent episodes airing from April-July. The season 2 finale on July 27 was the #2 ranked show on cable in its timeslot. The third season of Deadliest Warrior will premiere 10 episodes in Summer 2011.

Spike TV has renewed its flagship series Deadliest Warrior for a third season. The 10-episode third season will premiere in Summer 2011. Ah, Spike TV, the male programming response to Lifetime. All killing, sex, and low-brow humor all the time. If you remember back to when Spike TV first got its start, it had little more in terms of content strategy beyond buying up the rights to the entire James Bond catalogue and broadcasting them 24/7. It may have made the holders of Ian Fleming’s estate ecstatic, but after about a month the channel was in dire need of something new. Gradually the channel began to produce its own content and eventually it got to the point where its unique content was marginally watchable, if you were bored or drunk on a Saturday. Deadliest Warrior represents the current pinnacle of the channel’s programming. It’s that great? No, but it’s perfectly aimed at the testosterone-infused audience thanks to the use of weapons and the wholly ridiculous nature of its concept.

Last year, the world was introduced to a brand new series called Deadliest Warrior on the Spike Network which helped answer questions people had been fighting over for decades such as “Who would win a fight between a Pirate and a Knight?” or a “Spartan vs. a Ninja?” Tomorrow night, the show returns for a season that is deemed to be “bigger and bloodier bloodier.”

The show was able to give the audience a definitive answer for the first time, using simulated algorithms from data collected by weapons, settings, and training. The research team is made up of three men. The Los Angeles Police Department has turned over the investigation into the untimely death of actress Brittany Murphy to the L.A. County Coroner, citing there is no evidence of criminal activity.

Authorities tell the Los Angeles Times that it is unclear whether Murphy, who was 32 when she died, had an underlying medical condition that could have caused cardiac arrest. They did confirm, however, that the actress was taking multiple prescription drugs.

Actress Parker Posey has been diagnosed with Lyme Disease, forcing her to pull out of an off-Broadway play. Now, "Extra" Lifechanger Dr. Armand Dorian is explaining the facts of this treatable, tick-borne illness.

"Lyme disease is an illness that is transmitted to humans by the bite of deer ticks (Ixodes)," Dr. Dorian explains. "These ticks carry and infect humans with a bacteria called Borrelia burgdorferi."
