Batman: Master of Fear is the highly anticipated fan feature created by Red Fist Productions and developed as a three part mini-series devoted to expanding the Batman canon in new and exciting ways. Matt Kohler and the rest of the team at Red Fist have been developing the series since 2017, when the pilot was released on a modest budget, with fan interest generated by word of mouth.

It was Kohler's intent to bring a darker tone to Batman than any incarnation seen previously, and make Batman: Master of Fear an homage to some of his favorite parts of the canon, namely Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, Batman: The Animated Series, and Batman Beyond. Here's all the things that fans might have missed in the pilot and the trailers for Batman: Master of Fear Part II.

Horror comedy Deadly Retreat, the first full-length feature to be released by Artigo Indie, began filming yesterday, February 2nd, in Idyllwild, CA; and we have the early details along with a look at the film's teaser artwork.

Jon Artigo wrote and directs Deadly Retreat through his production company, Artigo Indie, along with his wife, Danielle Artigo (pictured), who will be producing as well as starring in the picture. Danielle's co-stars include genre vet Jennifer Blanc-Biehn and Jonathan Bennett (Mean Girls), who also recently worked together in Lifetime's "The Wrong Woman."

Matt Kohler and Barry Alexander have joined the producing team as producer and co-producer, respectively.

Deadly Retreat marks Ms. Artigo's third feature producing credit in the last six months, having recently come on to produce for Blanc/Biehn Productions She Rises, starring Michael Biehn, Jennifer Blanc-Biehn, Daisy McCrackin, and Angus McFadyen of AMC's new series "Turn." That project is currently in post-production.

After breaking into show business with the Oscar-winning film “The Artist,” Ben Kurland has signed on to star opposite Jonathan Bennett (“Mean Girls”) in the horror comedy “Deadly Retreat,” TheWrap has learned. Jon Artigo will write and direct the indie movie, which he and Danielle Artigo are producing through their Artigo Indie banner along with Matt Kohler of Silver Hero Entertainment.
