Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, Stacey has been dancing since the age of three. Her mother Shelley Tookey has had her own dance studio in Canada for over 40 years. Through her teens she competed in dance all over Canada. Stacey represented her country at the Adeline Genee awards in London, England. At 19 she left home and ventured to Vancouver where she danced with Ballet British Columbia, Fusion Dance Company, worked with then up and comer Michael Buble' and was a member of the N.B.A.'s "Grizzlies Extreme Dance Team". Eventually Stacey made her way to New York City. She was quickly noticed and became one of Mia Michaels assistants and danced as a member of her company R.A.W. She has worked on projects with Bette Midler and danced with Parsons Dance Project in Seoul, Korea. She was assistant choreographer of "A Few Good Men Dancin" on Broadway. In 2002, Stacey relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada where she was an original cast member for the entire 5 year run of Celine Dion's show "A New Day" at Caesars Palace. Soon after she discovered that the hit show So You Think You Can Dance was coming to Canada. She was hired to choreograph on the show which lead to her appearances on the U.S. version of the show.
