Bosch: Legacy Season 3 continues to uphold the Prime Video series' gold standard. The final season features uniformly strong performances, led by Watchmen Chapter 1 star Titus Welliver as Harry Bosch. And like the Michael Connelly novels on which the show is still based, the TV episodes are able to weave multiple storylines together in a way that other dramas can only dream of. It's not perfect, but it's close enough to make anyone wonder why the show is ending.
The Season 3 premiere actually consists of the first four episodes, and involves three major plots. The first is Honey Chandler's campaign to become Los Angeles District Attorney, while the second involves the police investigating the murder of Kurt Dockweiler -- and of course, these two things are on a collision course. Meanwhile, Officer Maddie Bosch is back in action, dealing with what seems like a robbery crew. But that is just scratching the surface,...

Television's long tradition of spin-offs has yielded some of the most innovative and beloved shows to ever hit the small screen. A spin-off is a new TV show that features a character or characters from a pre-existing series. Often, spin-offs are an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of a breakout character, and they stick closely to the tone of the program they originate from. But this isn't always the case.
Sometimes spin-offs and their progenitors vary wildly in tone, subject matter, or even genre. This is often the case with 'back door spin-offs' or preconceived shows that air their pilot as an episode of a popular show to create the illusion that the shows are connected. Still other times, the spin-off merely evolves to create its own identity.

The Boys' cast of characters is made up of both super-powered people as well as those trying to keep them in line, but Billy Butcher's height and the height of The Boys cast help to sell the power behind each character. While it is exciting to be dropped into this superhero world in which those who are meant to protect the world are far more villainous than expected, it is really the characters that bring this show to life. The cast of The Boys is an ensemble of actors that fit these characters so well, even the larger-than-life personalities.

Spoilers for "The Boys" season 4 follow.
Homelander (Antony Starr) is the face of evil supes on "The Boys," but this bloody journey started with Reggie Franklin, a.k.a A-Train (Jessie T. Usher). The Seven is an overt parody of the Justice League, and A-Train is a proxy for The Flash, a "speedster" who can run faster than time itself.
Episode 1 of "The Boys" — "The Name of the Game" — shows how dangerous that power would be. A-Train, running through the streets of Manhattan, collides with Robin (Jess Salgueiro) and reduces her to a mist of blood and gore. Her grieving boyfriend, Hughie (Jack Quaid), signs up with Billy Butcher's (Karl Urban) anti-supe crusade because of A-Train's actions and the paltry recompense (including a phoned-in "apology") he offers.
Since then, though, A-Train has become one of the more humanized supes on the show. He's definitely not as good as Starlight...

With every passing season, Amazon Prime’s adaptation of Garth Ennis and Darrick Robertson’s The Boys seems to be playing “can you top this?” in terms of going where no other heroic series has not dared to go.
The third season, out on disc just months before the fourth season drops, mainly focuses on the increasingly callous Homelander (Antony Star) fighting Starlight (Erin Moriarty) for the heart and soul of The Seven. When Vought named her co-leader, he was far from thrilled and let everyone know. The group of underground heroes – led by Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) trying to take down Homelander and expose their sponsor’s corruption almost seems sidelined this season.
There were interesting twists and turns across the eight episodes, such as Butcher’s protégé Hughie Campbell (Jack Quaid) working with Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) at the Fbsa (Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs). His romance with Starlight remains rocky,...

Although Billy Butcher's (Karl Urban) personal vendetta against Homelander (Antony Starr) would seemingly make him the obvious choice to defeat the leader of the Seven in The Boys, Starlight's (Erin Moriarty) position as one of the few "Supes" who actually cares about protecting innocent people actually makes her the perfect candidate to beat the megalomaniacal supervillain. While Starlight and Billy Butcher are on the same side, especially following the former's formal joining of The Boys, they could not contrast more as characters. Butcher is a hate-filled man who is more than willing to murder his enemies in savagely brutal ways.

While Starlight and Billy Butcher are on the same side, especially following the former's formal joining of The Boys, they could not contrast more as characters. Butcher is a hate-filled man who is more than willing to murder his enemies in savagely brutal ways.

Emmy nominee Paul Reiser has officially joined the cast of Amazon’s The Boys as a guest star in the fan-favorite role of The Legend, following rumors of his participation in the series that went unconfirmed. Reiser will make his series debut in this week’s episode titled “The Last Time To Look On This World Of Lies” which drops on Friday.
The 8-episode season is set to conclude on July 8. Amazon renewed the series for a fourth season last week.
The Boys gives insight into what happens when superheroes—who are as popular as celebrities, as influential as politicians, and as revered as gods—abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. Intent on stopping the corrupt superheroes, The Boys, a group of vigilantes, continue their heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven and Vought—the multibillion-dollar conglomerate that manages the superheroes and covers up their dirty secrets.

Soldier Boy certainly is no Superman.
In the latest trailer for Season 3 of Prime Video’s “The Boys,” premiering June 3, new supe Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) makes his debut — complete with a bloody murder sequence by plowing his shield into the face of a presumed baddie.
Set one year since the events of the critically acclaimed Season 2, “The Boys” kicks off with Homelander (Anthony Starr) completing his apology tour for “falling in love with the wrong woman” — ahem, an ageless Nazi named Klara Risinger, aka Stormfront (Aya Cash), who helped found the sinister Vought conglomerate — and Hughie (Jack Quaid) becoming a senior analyst for the Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs.
Meanwhile, Butcher (Karl Urban) is applauded for not killing supes and laying off the booze. That is, until Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) presents Butcher with vials to make him a superhero for just 24 hours a time to properly put a...

Amazon has released the second installment of “Seven on 7,” the digital companion series to “The Boys” meant to “bridge the gap” between Seasons 2 and 3, giving a few more details on a major new character.
“Law & Order: True Crime” alum Miles Gaston Villanueva joined the superhero drama earlier this year as a new Supe named Supersonic. Character details were kept under wraps at the time, but the new episode of “Seven on 7” has revealed that Villanueva’s character previously went by a different name — Drummer Boy.
Fans of the “The Boys” comics will recognize the name Drummer Boy as the leader of Young Americans, the group Starlight belonged to before joining the Seven. The teaser describes him as a “triple-threat” and “former teen heartthrob.”

“The Boys” is adding three new Supes to its cast for Season 3, with actors Sean Patrick Flanery (“The Boondock Saints”), Nick Wechsler (“Roswell”) and Miles Gaston Villanueva (“The Resident”) joining the Amazon Prime Video series.
Flanery (pictured above left) is taking on the role of Gunpowder, Wechsler (pictured center) is playing Blue Hawk and Villanueva (pictured right) will be Supersonic. All three are recurring characters for the third season of “The Boys,” which is Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s small-screen adaptation of the graphic novels of the same name, written by Garth Ennis and co-created, designed and illustrated by Darick Robertson.
No character details were provided for Flanery’s Gunpowder, Wechsler’s Blue Hawk or Villanueva’s Supersonic, and out of that trio, only Gunpowder, a minor villain, is featured in “The Boys” comics. So we don’t yet know how these three will pop up in this world.

Miles Gaston Villanueva (Law & Order True Crime) is set for a major recurring role on Fox’s medical drama The Resident.
Villanueva will play Alec, a born innovator, a loner and iconoclast who has spent a lifetime on the move. His father was an eccentric and Alec lived part of his childhood in a converted school bus. Alec is tender with patients but blunt with everyone else. And yet he is a charmer. His relationships with women tended in the past to lack deep roots. Whenever it was necessary, he moved on.
Created by Amy Holden Jones, Hayley Schore and Roshan Sethi, The Resident stars Matt Czuchry, Bruce Greenwood,...
