Jimmy Robertson (Paul Calderon) as they are tasked to investigate Harry Bosch (Titus Welliver) in a possible murder-for-hire case.

From September 16, 2015-September 9, 2016, Villanueva portrayed Luca Santori on “The Young and the Restless,” the estranged husband of Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas). The character was described as a charming and mysterious Spanish prince from a wealthy family.

While Starlight and Billy Butcher are on the same side, especially following the former's formal joining of The Boys, they could not contrast more as characters. Butcher is a hate-filled man who is more than willing to murder his enemies in savagely brutal ways.

Laurie Holden, best known for playing Andrea for three seasons on “The Walking Dead,” will play Crimson Countess in a recurring role on the third season of “The Boys,” according to an individual with knowledge of the show.

Holden joins cast members Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, and Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk.

“Been sitting on this a long while. Happy to share this with you all. I am loving being a frickin’ super hero. Dream job for sure:),” tweeted Holden. In the comics, the first Crimson Countess made her appearance in The Boys #52, however was killed in issue #53 on her first mission by a German airstrike. Crimson Countess was also an ally of Solider Boy who will be played by series newcomer Jensen Ackles.

Laurie Holden is joining “The Boys” Season 3 at Amazon in a recurring role, Variety has learned exclusively.

Holden will portray the supe known as Crimson Countess. She joins other recently announced recurring cast members Sean Patrick Flanery as Gunpowder, Miles Gaston Villanueva as Supersonic, and Nick Wechsler as Blue Hawk.

Holden is perhaps best known for her role in the megahit zombie apocalypse series “The Walking Dead,” on which she played the character Andrea for three seasons. Her other notable TV appearances include major roles on “The Americans,” “The X-Files,” and “The Shield.” On the film side, she has been in projects such as “Dragged Across Concrete,” “Arctic Dogs,” “The Majestic,” and “Silent Hill.” She also lent her voice to the animated film “Fireheart.”

She is repped by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman.

Additionally, Miles Gaston Villanueva (Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders) will play Supersonic, while Sean Patrick Flannery (Dexter) will portray Gunpowder. All three characters are original to the Amazon Prime series and are not part of the Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson comics on which the show is based.

Amazon’s hit superhero series The Boys has added three recurring characters for Season 3.

Boondock Saints star Sean Patrick Flanery is portraying a superhero named Gunpowder. Miles Gaston Villanueva who portrayed Lyle Menedez in Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders will play Supersonic. Rosewell actor Nick Wechsler is portraying Blue Hawk. Each actor will join the show’s new season which is currently in production in Toronto.

The Boys subverts the superhero genre, imagining a present day where awesome avengers, controlled by the unscrupulous Vought corporation, purport to stand for “truth and justice” while secretly committing heinous acts.

Season 2 saw The Boys – Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) – on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. “The Boys” is adding three new Supes to its cast for Season 3, with actors Sean Patrick Flanery (“The Boondock Saints”), Nick Wechsler (“Roswell”) and Miles Gaston Villanueva (“The Resident”) joining the Amazon Prime Video series.

Flanery (pictured above left) is taking on the role of Gunpowder, Wechsler (pictured center) is playing Blue Hawk and Villanueva (pictured right) will be Supersonic. All three are recurring characters for the third season of “The Boys,” which is Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s small-screen adaptation of the graphic novels of the same name, written by Garth Ennis and co-​created, designed and illustrated by Darick Robertson.

No character details were provided for Flanery’s Gunpowder, Wechsler’s Blue Hawk or Villanueva’s Supersonic, and out of that trio, only Gunpowder, a minor villain, is featured in “The Boys” comics. So we don’t yet know how these three will pop up in this world.

Timeless vet Malcolm Barrett is getting hitched to one of music’s biggest icons: The actor will co-star in National Geographic’s Aretha Franklin installment of the anthology series Genius as the singer’s first husband and business manager Ted White.

Also joining the cast are Patrice Covington (Broadway’s The Color Purple) and Rebecca Naomi Jones (Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll) as Aretha’s sisters Erma and Carolyn, Kimberly Hébert Gregory (Vice Principals) as Ruth Bowen, the head of a successful black-owned agency, and Sanai Victoria (No Good Nick) as young Aretha.

The fate of two Fanatic favorites, The Resident and 9-1-1, were left unresolved as news of the purchase of Fox by Disney was recently announced.

It left fans worried about what would become of the two beloved, adrenaline-inducing series.

We can now report you can breathe easy.

Michael Thorn, President, Fox Entertainment announced today that both series have received renewals!

Fox renewed a pair of Monday dramas on Monday: “9-1-1” and “The Resident” will both return for third seasons, the broadcast network said.

Ryan Murphy’s “9-1-1” — Fox’s top drama series, averaging 15.4 million total viewers per episode when including a week of delayed viewing — follows the high-pressure experiences of first responders.

Miles Gaston Villanueva (Law & Order True Crime) is set for a major recurring role on Fox’s medical drama The Resident.

Villanueva will play Alec, a born innovator, a loner and iconoclast who has spent a lifetime on the move. His father was an eccentric and Alec lived part of his childhood in a converted school bus. He studied to be an infectious disease doctor, but after a stint volunteering with Partners in Health on a Navajo reservation, he embraced a vision of medicine that tries to alter lifestyle via community outreach to prevent, rather than treat, illness.
