Lee Peterkin is an award winning first generation Palestinian-American filmmaker. Lee grew up in New York and exhibited a passion for storytelling at an early age while performing in theater and creating films with the family camera. He sold his first screenplay not long after completing his collegiate studies in film and theater. Ever since, he has been working professionally as a writer, director, editor, and cinematographer. His appetite for raw, absurd, drama, and tragic-comedy can be seen across his music videos, short films, and commercials.
His efforts have garnered awards for his films in directing and screenwriting. Prism, an anthology feature film won an award at the Art Of Brooklyn Film Festival. His Short Ex Vivo, was awarded at the Raw Science Film Festival and LA Live Score Film Festival. His screenplay Za'atar garnered an award from Open Screenplay. He was the cinematographer for the short Barry which premiered at SXSW (Nominated for Grand Jury Award). And his latest work, the dance narrative Glance, has won awards at festivals worldwide.
