Born in Vancouver, BC. When Martin was just thirteen days old he was
adopted and was raised in the Kootenays in the small town of Trail, BC.
Martin was attacked by the acting bug in grade two and when he got to high school, his love and admiration for the acting craft drove him to pursue an acting career after have landing his first lead role in a stage play in high school. Martin moved to Vancouver in the summer of 1990 to follow his goal and his dream in obtaining an acting career. Martin started to study his craft through acting programs, workshops and scene studies in acting schools in Vancouver.
Martin learned early in life that perseverance, determination and courage will pull you through any obstacle life throws at you. At the age of four, Martin was in a serious car accident. For the next thirty-five years, he fought the pain and problems that resulted from it, as his left leg lost its use below the knee. This, however, did not stop Martin from doing all of the things he loved to do, whether it be acting, weightlifting, martial arts, cycling, skiing or other sports. In April of 2007 Martin had to make the decision to have a below knee amputation, as the condition of his lower leg had started to affect his health. Since the surgery, he still continues to do all the things he loves, and does them even better, unless Martin is wearing shorts, one would never know he is an amputee as Martin is quite active with sports and trained himself to walk without even a limp. His courage and confidence within himself are strong and sincere, and his compassion for others is admirable. It is because of the experiences Martin has lived through, he is able to express his emotions and understands & relates to where those feelings come from.
Today Martin is still working hard on his skills and honing in on his craft for the love of acting, he auditions for and takes on any roles that he can. Martin can always be found studying acting techniques, working out at the gym, biking, and helping out family and friends.
