Christoph Waltz has boarded the cast of “Only Murders in the Building” Season 5.
The “Inglourious Basterds” star will join the Hulu series in a recurring guest star role when “Only Murders in the Building” returns for its fifth installment. Like each season of “Only Murders,” details regarding Waltz’s role and storyline are being kept under wraps. Production is currently underway on the new season.
Waltz will appear alongside “Only Murders in the Building” stars Martin Short, Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Michael Cyril Creighton, who most recently traveled to Los Angeles in Season 4 to shepherd the film adaptation of their podcast. After introducing Tea Leoni as Sofia Caccimelio at the end of Season 4, co-creator and showrunner John Hoffman told TheWrap the next season would also see Leoni returning.

Hulu's hit comedy Only Murders in the Building will return with Season 5. Already in production, the new season is staying consistent with its love for famous names.
After flaunting a long list of critically acclaimed actors throughout its first four seasons, that won't stop for the upcoming fifth season. Only Murders in the Building added yet another Oscar-winning actor to its star-studded cast. Per Variety, two-time Oscar-winning actor Christoph Waltz joined the series in a recurring role.
As usual, Hulu is keeping details for Waltz's character under wraps. So far, Waltz marks the second big guest star after actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key joined the cast earlier this month in a recurring role.
Christoph Waltz won two Oscars for Best Supporting Actor, both for his work with critically acclaimed director Quentin Tarantino. The first one was for 2009's Inglorious Basterds, and the second for 2012's Django Unchained, which also won him Golden Globes,...

With “Opry 100: A Live Celebration” set to go out live tonight, producers of the show are offering a preview of the three-hour telecast — which doesn’t quite have a hundred performers to represent the Grand Ole Opry’s 100 years, but may seem close enough to it by the time the three hours are up. The show airs from 8-11 p.m. Et/Pt on NBC and Peacock.
Silent House, which is behind the conceptualizing and production many of today’s top arena and stadium tours (like Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour), is partnering with the Opry on the production. Silent House’s Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, who recently won Emmys for “Carol Burnett: 90 Years of Laughter + Love,” are serving as executive producers on “Opry 100,” along with R.A. Clark and Steve Buchanan. Gierahn and Bracco spoke with Variety during a time-out from rehearsals about what country fans can expect.

Brian Trenchard-Smith, the British-Australian director of such Ozploitation classics as Turkey Shoot and Dead End Drive-In, eventually made the big move to Hollywood in the early 1990s, and in due time, he was entrusted with the third installment of that decade’s most madcap horror franchise. Amazingly, Trenchard-Smith made his mark on a genre series already known for its schlocky pleasures and cheesy execution. And for those who prefer the wackier and more untamed entries in the Leprechaun universe, they really have Trenchard-Smith to thank; he steered these films in a cracked direction that still has fans talking to this day.
What better person to direct a Leprechaun sequel than the man who once said subtlety isn’t his middle name. Trenchard-Smith, a director of many self-deprecating quotes, made his Hollywood horror debut with another sequel, Night of the Demons 2, before boarding Leprechaun 3. The surprises in “Only Murders in the Building” Season 4 continued in Tuesday’s episode as Paul Rudd made a stunning return that left Charles, Mabel and Oliver wondering if Ben Glenroy came back from the dead (again).
Rudd turns out to instead be Glenn Stubbins, Glenroy’s Irish stunt double, who the trio meet while following a lead at Concussions, a bar frequented by murder victim Sazz Pataki.
“I love Paul Rudd and Paul Rudd loves being on the show and we’re doing a season about stunt doubles. We had a season last season where Ben Glenroy died, and who was Ben Glenroy’s stunt double is not an unfathomable question. And we have dopplegängers all throughout the season,” showrunner John Hoffman told TheWrap. “It just like like, ‘Oh, my God, that’s how we bring him back!’ All of that paralleling with Charles and Sazz felt sweet and right,...

Oh Hell! It’s not even Halloween, and Only Murders in the Building Season 4, Episode 4 just gave us a darkly comedic treat!
From Charles’s creepy, fog-infested dreams to a surprising twist that wasn’t Paul Rudd’s reappearance, “The Stunt Man” served up some seriously macabre vibes.
(Disney/Patrick Harbron)
Rats, Hell’s Kitchen, “faces,” and snappy dialogue set the tone, weaving together clues from earlier episodes. And now, we might be getting closer to figuring out who killed Sazz — if Sazz is really dead, that is.
Plus, did we just catch a hint that Mabel might be headed down a darker path?
Selena Gomez recently teased that her character becoming a murderer would be “fun.” With Mabel now living in the west building surrounded by the “weirdos,” could she be on her way to becoming a “different kind of weirdo” — like, maybe a murderous one?
There’s so much to unpack,...

In the previous episode, we got to know some vital information about Sazz’s murder. Mabel, Oliver, and Charles were told by Detective Williams that the killer was an excellent shooter, and that is why they were able to shoot from the West Tower with such precision. Secondly, the trio came to know that Dudenoff, the mysterious guy in the West Tower, in whose apartment Mabel found a pig, was in Portugal. Mabel didn’t believe it even for a second, and she thought that it was all a cover-up to save the man and give him a perfect alibi. The third and most significant revelation was that a woman told the trio on ham radio to stop their investigation if they wanted to live. She told them that the last person who came asking questions was no longer alive, implying that she knew what happened to Sazz. So let...

In the fourth episode of Only Murders In The Building season 4, our trio hangs out with some of Sazz’s fellow stuntmen. Our review:
The pub is a British institution. The significance of going for a drink after work can’t be put into words; the pub isn’t just a place, it’s a way of life.
And that’s where Charles, Mabel and Oliver are off to in the new episode of Only Murders In The Building. The trio visit a pub where Sazz and her fellow stuntmen hang out after work. I can’t speak from experience, but I bet a pint of lager hits different after being hit in the face or thrown from a car continuously at work.
The episode actually starts with a strange voiceover. The voice feels distinctly familiar and has a bit of an Irish twang to it. We won’t reveal here who it is,...

Auntie Rae's return in the season 12 premiere of Curb Your Enthusiasm continues a trend of Larry's friends forgiving him off-screen. Auntie Rae's previous anger towards Larry for (seemingly) cheating on her niece is completely forgotten, as she welcomes him with open arms. In Curb Your Enthusiasm, characters like Susie and Ted Danson also forgive Larry off-screen, illustrating the show's satire of societal rules and Larry's constant social mishaps.
The return of fan-favorite supporting character Auntie Rae in Curb Your Enthusiasm’s season 12 premiere continues a very specific trend with Larry David’s friends in the show. Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 breaks a 15-year streak by continuing storylines from the previous season, just like season 7 did. Characters like Irma and Maria Sofia are too good not to bring back, adding humor and serving as foils for Larry. Continuing storylines from season 11 gives the final season a sense of finality and builds on previous developments.
The return of Maria Sofia Estrada in Curb Your Enthusiasm season 12 has broken a 15-year streak that the show hasn’t broken since Leon’s family reappeared in season 7. In its first season, Curb Your Enthusiasm followed a standard sitcom formula with standalone storylines in each episode. But from season 2 onwards, each season of Curb Your Enthusiasm has had its own serialized narrative that kicks off in the season premiere, gets threaded throughout the season, and concludes in the season finale.
In season 2, Larry tried to launch a new sitcom with Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Another season of Hulu's hit Only Murders in the Building is in the books, and another killer is behind bars. Or, in this case, killers. Tuesday's third season finale resolved who killed Ben Glenroy just as Death Rattle Dazzle reopened. Our investigative trio of Charles, Oliver, and Mabel put mother/son producer team Donna and Cliff behind bars. Again, it seems like everything is back to normal as the threesome celebrates with their typical end-of-murder party. But three seasons in, we know the festivities won't last for long, and the next murder victim drops dead just as the credits roll.
Only Murders earned a fourth season renewal on the day the third-season finale dropped. With the WGA strike over and the SAG-AFTRA one also seemingly closer to a resolution, a new season could go into production relatively soon. In true Only Murders fashion, we've already got the next case...

This article contains Only Murders in the Building season 3 spoilers.
It wouldn’t feel like late summer transitioning into the crispness of fall if there wasn’t another season of the perennial comedic murder-mystery Only Murders in the Building. Co-creators Steve Martin and John Hoffman’s New York seems to hone in on the magic of the Big Apple, wrapping you in colorful cardigans, raining orange leaves upon you, and allowing you to curl up and enjoy witty one-liners and the charming score of Siddhartha Khosla.
But don’t get too comfortable.
Like the real New York, the charm is juxtaposed with some big city crime, and in the third season, that is the murder of faded Hollywood star Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd). Ben collapses on opening night of “Death Rattle” – the play that could give Oliver (Martin Short) a new lease on his career. It also gives Charles (Steve...

There's more to Loretta Durkin than meets the eye.
