Image
British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle’s new Netflix cooking show is about to debut after it was delayed from its original January launch date. The show is called With Love, Meghan, and reportedly shows her with friends making merry. Like Mindy Kaling who at one point in the preview video sounds as if she will faint she’s so giddy.

Royal Family News: When and How to Watch Meghan Markle’s Highly Anticipated Netflix Cooking Show, With Love, Meghan

Here’s what to know about this much derided project which has garnered nearly 90,000 (overwhelmingly negative) comments on the streamer’s YouTube channel. But before we sink our teeth into Meghan’s goodies, here’s a sampling of what people think after watching the preview:

“How to create an authentically inspiring lifestyle show

1. Do not use your home kitchen, rent one instead

2. Do not invite your family, invite...

The Philadelphia Eagles are officially on their way to Super Bowl 2025 this weekend, after Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts helped lead the Birds’ to a 55-23 victory over the Commanders in the NFC Championship game. With a matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs on the horizon, interest in NFL merch has predictably soared — Eagles merch has seen a surge in sales online, including merch sites like Fanatics.

Alexis & Fido Have Outlasted Their Competition
Image
Alexis & Fido have been here since the beginning. But though they’re legitimate OGs of reggaeton, the dynamic performers and masters of the double-entendre are some of the quietest superstars in a genre that’s not quiet at all — though foundational hits like “5 Letras,” “Mala Conducta,” and “El Tiburón” speak for themselves.

They’re celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, marking when they serendipitously teamed up as a duo on the album Desafío thanks to the data limits of CDs (more on that below.) Both hail from Cayey, the same...

Castaway Review: Exploring Nostalgia and Accessibility in a Bite-Sized Package
Image
Whether you’re looking for a pick-up-and-play adventure or seeking extra challenges, Castaway has you covered this season. Developed by Canari Games, this top-down action title offers a charmingly nostalgic throwback to the classic Legend of Zelda adventures of yore.

You play as a boy who finds himself shipwrecked on a mysterious planet after a space mishap. But your troubles are only beginning—upon waking, you discover your loyal dog has been nabbed by pesky pterodactyls! To make matters worse, the scaly scoundrels also stole your tools. Equipped only with your trusty sword, you set off across the island in search of your missing pooch and pilfered equipment.

With its pixelated style and familiarly simple yet strategic gameplay, Castaway invokes the same relaxing yet engrossing vibe of those beloved ’90s Zelda classics. Explore a colorful overworld, delve into puzzle-filled dungeons, and outwit a variety of baddies using your growing arsenal of abilities.

“George, want to play?”

After a long day of casual walks, a couple naps, and some much-need relaxing in front of the air conditioner, it was finally time to have some fun outside. Our golden retriever has no shortage of toys at home, but after months of playing with the same ball and stuffed animals, we decided to try something new to treat our best friend to something...

Man Bites Dog: Rfk Jr. Learns the Hard Way How White House Ambitions Can Be Undone by a Pooch
Image
There are many, many reasons why Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will never be president.

For starters, his claim that a parasitic worm ate part of his brain is likely a deal breaker for a large segment of the American electorate, even if it does explain some of Kennedy’s wackier conspiracy theories, like the one about anti-depressants causing school shootings, or Covid-19 being a lab-created bioweapon “designed to target Caucasians and Black people” (while sparing Jews and Chinese). His head-scratching contention that Palestinians are “the most pampered people… in the history of the world” is also bound to turn off to a lot of voters, as is his assertion that industrial chemicals are causing “gender confusion” among today’s teenagers.

But the No. 1 reason that Rfk Jr. will never sit behind the Resolute Desk has nothing to do with any of the above. It’s that he supposedly once ate a dog.

Five Zombie Comedies to Stream This Week
Image
Zombies often take the horror-comedy to a new level. In their shambling quest to mine humor from the most horrific circumstances, zombie comedies invert the apocalyptic nihilism that an outbreak of the undead tends to elicit. They also subvert the expectations of zombie horror, frequently going meta to poke fun at some of the most time honored tropes.

Because it’s Monday, we could all use a laugh or three. So, this week’s streaming picks are dedicated to zombie comedies that aim not for the jugular (or brain) but your funny bone.

These five zombie comedies find unique ways to play with the genre and get silly with it, messing with form and era in the process. Here’s where you can stream them this week.

We Are Zombies Review: A Slacker Comedy For The Living Impaired [Fantastic Fest 2023]
Image
In "We Are Zombies," the team behind 2015's stunning low-budget dystopia "Turbo Kid" and '80s killer-thriller "Summer of 84" asks: what if zombies were real and non-cannibalistic? Filmmaker collective Rkss uses zombies as a marginalized minority to impart social commentary in a world where they're harmless, law-abiding citizens viewed as a festering scourge. We eventually reach a bloodthirsty conclusion brimming with gonzo gore, but that's not the norm for "We Are Zombies." Instead, Rkss frames a slacker comedy around an alternate universe where walkers flip burgers and pay bus fares. It's morbidly cute and curiously endearing — even if less successful juvenile jokes sometimes hinder momentum — all leading to a ravenous third act that delivers the flesh-tearing gore horror fans crave.

The film centers on three bumbling scam artists: D&d dork Karl Neard (Alexandre Nachi), the teddy bear wrestling fan Freddy Mercks (Derek Johns), and Karl's tech wiz half-sister Maggie...

Shazam Unveils His New Base - & It's Way Cooler Than the Batcave
Image
Shazam has unveiled his new superhero base - and it makes the Batcave look boring. Shazam is reborn in the new Shazam #1, acquiring a new name and embarking on a fun new direction that honors the character’s Golden Age roots. As his new era begins, Shazam has also overhauled the Rock of Eternity, transforming it into the ultimate superhero headquarters - but not everyone is amused with his changes.

The issue, Part One of "Meet the Captain," is written by Mark Waid, drawn by Dan Mora, colored by Alejandro Sanchez and lettered by Troy Peteri. Shazam has had a long day of being a hero, so he returns to the Rock of Eternity, which he describes as a “gigantic structure at the center of all space and time.” He reminds fans that the wizard Shazam entrusted him with the Rock, and now the Captain has decked it out, filling...

Pokémon Scarlet & Violet: How to Find (& Catch) Fidough
Image
Fidough, wordplay on the dog name Fido and bread dough, is a new Pokémon being introduced on Paldea in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s 9th Generation. Described as having smooth and elastic skin, Fidough has been kept by cooks in Paldea because its breath contains yeast. Fidough can be found in two locations, one of them accessible very early game.

Fidough is categorized as a Puppy Pokémon, like Growlithe from the beloved original 151 Pokémon lineup. Fidough is the fifth puppy Pokémon to be introduced following Lillipup, Rockruff, and Yampers from generations, 5, 7, and respectively. However, Fidough is unique in that it is a pure Fairy-type Pokémon, which, according to Bulbapedia, is in a tie with Ghost-types as being the second-rarest Pokémon type behind Ice-types. It is not a version-exclusive Pokémon, like Koraidon and Miraidon, and is catchable in both Scarlet and Violet. Fidough spawns below Los Platos and later in South...
