Former Fyzz Facility TV Chief Zoë Rocha Launches Drama Indie & Sets The Libertines-Inspired Series
Zoë Rocha
Zoë Rocha, former TV boss at The Fyzz Facility, has set up her own scripted production company and has set her first development slate including a drama exec produced by The Libertines frontman Carl Barât.

Rocha, who previously produced Channel 5 comedy Borderline and Sky’s Chris O’Dowd-fronted Moone Boy has launched RubyRock Pictures and has brought on former Fyzz Facility exec Catherine Freeman as Development Executive.

The pair are already working on The Heartless, a music drama written by Spotless writer Lucie Barât, the sister of Carl Barât and feminist horror anthology Her Horror.

The Heartless is a semi-autobiographical snapshot of the British indie scene in early noughties London, inspired by creator Lucie Barât’s own experience of that time, and the journey of her brother’s band. With a soundtrack written by both Barâts, the series follows Sally, who returns to the UK after a year in...

“Dracula” And The Gay Reveal
This post contains spoilers for last night’s episode of Dracula

If you haven’t tuned into NBC’s new take on the King of Vampires, last night’s episode of Dracula gave you another reason to check the series out. The show, which debuted two Fridays ago, stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and he brings his full sensual force to bear as the titular count, here infiltrating London society in the guise of American industrialist Alexander Grayson. His is not the only pretty face in the cast, which boasts among others the toothsome Thomas Kretschmann as Van Helsing, handsome Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Jonathan Harker and Nonso Abozie serving a beefy, burly take on the usually sniveling Renfield.

(l-r: Jackson-Cohen, Rhys Meyers, Abozie and intrigued bystander)

In addition to the abundance of eye candy, last night’s episode unspooled a gay sub-plot that could potentially be very intriguing. As part of his scheme,...

One Day Like This
Filming is currently underway in Glasgow on a 2-hour drama for BBC3 called One Day Like This.

Written by Northern Irish TV writer Terry Cafolla, the film is described as an "uplifting tragedy", with the inspiration for the script the statistic that car accidents are the biggest killer of young people and that the most likely cause of death for a woman under the age of 24 is the driving of her partner.

The young cast includes Skins' star Lily Loveless (represented by United Agents), with newly brown hair.

Lewis Rainer (represented by Tcg Artist Management), a Guildford School of Acting graduate, stars as Tom Harris. Lewis played Ross Duncan in Grange Hill and more recently was seen as Alex in Dani's House for Cbbc.

Screenterrier rising star Josh Bolt (represented by Curtis Brown) plays Brian. Josh, from Liverpool, played the lead in ITV's Just Henry.

20 year old Sacha Parkinson...
