Lance Barber has been in the Hollywood limelight for quite some time and has portrayed some memorable characters throughout his career. His most iconic role to date has been that of George Cooper, a loving yet flawed father, in Young Sheldon.

And it appears that the actor might be on the brink of another major success with the new spinoff of Disney’s animated sitcom Big City Greens. Barber played the role of Frank throughout its several seasons, and with a spinoff in development, it could be the next big chapter in his already impressive resume.

What does the new spinoff mean for Big City Greens? Is Lance Barber in it?

Premiering seven years ago on Disney, Big City Greens has emerged as a significant hit, thanks to its relatable characters, fun and engaging storyline, and its appeal as a show the whole family can enjoy together.

‘Big City Greens’ Team Reflects on 100 Episodes on Disney Channel: ‘It’s About Making People Laugh, But Also Making Them Care’
Image
This spring marks a milestone for Disney Channel’s “Big City Greens,” as the beloved animated series airs its 100th episode on linear TV on May 3 and streams on Disney+ on May 7.

Launched in 2018, the show has quietly become a cornerstone of modern family animation, blending the wholesome charm of classic sitcoms with inventive storytelling and a healthy dose of silliness.

Created by brothers Chris and Shane Houghton, “Big City Greens” follows the adventures of Cricket Green, a mischievous 10-year-old boy whose family moves from the country to the city. Inspired by the Houghtons’ own childhood in the rural town of St. Johns, Mich., the series balances slapstick antics with genuine emotion; its staying power is no accident.

“From the very beginning, we thought that this show could go 100 episodes,” says Shane Houghton. “That was the benchmark: can this idea stretch that far? And we believed it could because the...

Bill did destroy his home dimension, but it was likely an accident that he regrets. Ford and Bill's relationship was more genuine than previously shown.

Ever since its premiere in 2012, Gravity Falls has been full of mysteries and codes. As Dipper and Mabel arrive in the supernatural town of Gravity Falls, they try to understand the magic around them and decode The Journal, a guide to the strange town. The audience, too, was able to uncover mysteries throughout the show, allowing popular fan theories to predict things like how Stan had a secret twin, and that the symbols on the wheel in the show's opening correspond to characters in the show.

However, the show still ended with several unanswered questions,...

Eli Roth Finds the Fun Side of Horror in DreamWorks' Fright Krewe
Image
Created and Executive-Produced by Eli Roth and James Frey, Fright Krewe is DreamWorks' latest animated series. Focusing on an unlikely group of teenagers with mystical powers and a duty to stop an ancient evil from ripping apart New Orleans, Fright Krewe takes the classic adventure animation dynamics and infuses them with some of the frights and tension that Roth is most famous for. There are plenty of monsters and horrific images, but Roth maintains a consistently appealing edge to the central characters and their stories.

The result is a fun show that serves as a gateway for younger audiences to the horror genre. During an interview with Cbr, Eli Roth discussed how Fright Krewe draws from Voodoo mythology and figures, the importance of authenticity, taking inspiration from previous animated projects, and crafting a series that older horror fans can share with their children.
