'FBI: Most Wanted' Star Reunites With Chris Pratt in New Series Following Unexpected Cancellation
Image
The Terminal List is getting some serious reinforcements for Season 2. Deadline has reported that Edwin Hodge and Caitlin Bassett (Quantum Leap) have been cast in recurring guest roles in the hit Prime Video action thriller led by Chris Pratt. The casting marks a reunion for Hodge and Pratt, who previously starred together in 2021’s sci-fi blockbuster The Tomorrow War, and now, the two are going from fighting aliens to hunting conspirators in The Terminal List’s grounded and gritty world of covert military ops.

Created by David Digilio and based on the bestselling novels by Jack Carr, The Terminal List follows Navy Seal James Reece (Pratt), who uncovers a deadly conspiracy after his platoon is ambushed during a high-risk mission. Season 1, based on Carr’s debut novel, was a pulse-pounding dive into Reece’s descent into vengeance and justice. Season 2 adapts True Believer, and brings new allies—and enemies—into the fold.

13 Best Guest Stars Everyone Forgot Were on Dexter, Ranked
Image
This article discusses death by suicide.

Of course, John Lithgow wins the award for the best guest star on Dexter. It’s impossible to forget his menacing character The Trinity Killer. The same goes for other high-profile stars who appeared on one or more seasons, like Keith Carradine, Julia Stiles, Colin Hanks, Mark Pellegrino, Jimmy Smits, and Yvonne Strahovski.

But beyond these few, there were many stars who had guest roles on the show, some even for multiple seasons, that fans who originally watched almost 20 years ago may have forgotten about. In some cases, these actors didn’t get their big breakout role, or at least the role that fans of this generation know them for, until after they were on Dexter. But for fans watching or re-watching now, it’s a pleasant surprise to see them pop up.

Dolph Lundgren Open To Expendables 5 Return (On 1 Condition)
Image
Dolph Lundgren is open to returning for Expendables 5 if Sylvester Stallone is in charge and involved in the development. Stallone's creative direction and involvement in the scriptwriting were crucial to the success of the first two films in the franchise. A potential Expendables 5 needs Stallone's larger involvement to save the franchise and bring back original cast members, restoring audience interest.

While the latest chapter has left the franchise's future in doubt, Dolph Lundgren is open to an Expendables 5 return on one condition. The action genre vet has starred in all four installments in the franchise as Gunner Jensen, one of the senior members of the group of mercenaries and their heavy weapons expert. The Expendables served as the first major reunion between Lundgren and Sylvester Stallone after the former's breakthrough role of Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, which he would later reprise for 2018's Creed II.

In anticipation of...

Expend4bles: What Did You Think?
Sylvester Stallone at an event for The Oscars (2016)
The boys are back in action! It’s been nearly a decade since the release of the last film in Sylvester Stallone’s action franchise, but Expend4bles has finally arrived. The long-awaited action sequel took in $750,000 in previews on Thursday, with the film looking to open with around $15 million.

The Expend4bles cast features a mix of familiar faces, with Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture all returning, as well as a few newbies, including Megan Fox, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, and Andy Garcia. “Armed with every weapon they can get their hands on and the skills to use them, The Expendables are the world’s last line of defense and the team that gets called when all other options are off the table,” reads the official synopsis. “But new team members with new styles and tactics are going to...

‘Expend4bles’ Review
Image
Stars: Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Megan Fox, Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Iko Uwais, Randy Couture, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Andy García | Written by Kurt Wimmer, Tad Daggerhart, Max Adams | Directed by Scott Waugh

The Expendables return for a fourth instalment in the former-action-heroes-blowing-things-up franchise. This time around, the law of diminishing returns is in full effect – the bigger names from the previous films are conspicuous by their absence, the script is terrible even by the standards of the first three movies and the film largely wastes its two most exciting new cast members.

The plot, such as it is, sees Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) and their team of mercenaries – including Gunner Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Toll Road (Randy Couture), Easy Day (new recruit Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) and Galan (Jacob Scipio), son of former Expendable Antonio Banderas – tasked with retrieving a cache of nukes...

‘Expendables 4’ Review: Jokey, Fight-Filled Last Hurrah Feels Like ‘Meg 2: Part 2’
Image
Sequels, and sequels of sequels, have trouble differentiating themselves from their brethren from time to time. But Expendables 4, indisputably takes the cake for recycling previously used material in a not exactly fresh context. At least the final third — and maybe more — of this jokey, fight-filled and increasingly effects-driven last hurrah is nearly a twin brother to the climactic stretch of last month’s waterlogged Jason Statham extravaganza Meg 2: The Trench, wherein the rugged Brit takes on — and once again prevails over — a sea monster that makes Moby Dick look like a backyard swimming pool pet. It really is a shameless “borrowing” that’s impossible to ignore if you’ve seen Meg 2, as the tireless former male model with perfectly maintained facial stubble once again earns his status as master of the seven seas.

Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, Andy Garcia, Jason Statham, Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Randy Couture, Tony Jaa, and Iko Uwais in The Expendables 4 (2023)
‘Expend4bles’ Review: The Latest Installment of the Action Series Is Dull and Tasteless
Dolph Lundgren, Sylvester Stallone, Andy Garcia, Jason Statham, Megan Fox, 50 Cent, Randy Couture, Tony Jaa, and Iko Uwais in The Expendables 4 (2023)
The first thing you need to know about “Expendables 4” is that its studio somehow made the grating decision to fashion its title as “Expend4ble.” It’s a needless spelling challenge for a dull and vulgar flick with a lot of empty-calories muscle, but little-to-no skill or fun to spare. The second thing you need to know is, that insertion of “4” is, unfortunately, just about the most clever thing the fourth installment of this star-studded action series has to offer.

There is always a lot of touchiness out there in defense of such movies, usually from those who guard one’s right to “shut one’s brain off and just enjoy.” But as the “John Wick” franchise and the entirety of the “Mission: Impossible” series continue to prove time and time again, there is indeed a stylish and cinematic way to pull off fun and thoroughly entertaining action fare...

‘Expend4bles’ Review: The Rare Hollywood Sequel That’s Perfectly at Peace with Being This Stupid
Image
For 4n utterly braindead and 4rtlessly cr4fted movie th4t feels like 4 fe4ture-length Fmv cut-scene from 4 Sega CD g4me, “Expend4bles” would be a lot more p4inful if not for the fact that it’s so 4t pe4ce with its gener4l shittiness. Don’t get me wrong, the creative and aesthetic indifference behind this long-gestating action sequel — which arrives nine years after “Expendables 3,” but still well before people had time to get nostalgic for this already reheated ’80s revival junk — is remarkable even by the standards of a series that has always prided itself on being cinema’s most glorified direct-to-video project, the “Avengers” of Cialis.

The script, credited to Max Adams, Kurt Wimmer, and the awesomely-named Tad Daggerhart, feels like it was written by a frat boy trying to plagiarize “Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty” (including a guy code-named “Ocelot” but...

The Expendables 4: Plot, Cast, and Everything Else We Know

Image
The action titans assemble for Expend4bles. Starring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, Dolph Lundgren, 50 Cent, and Megan Fox, the fourth entry in this locked-and-loaded franchise hits after a nine-year gap between sequels. Ahead of the release of Expend4bles, Cbr caught up with the film's stunt coordinator Alan Ng, who has worked on renowned films like The Karate Kid, The Spy Next Door, and Hidden Strike. Ng revealed more about the movie's stylized fight scenes and how they compare to stunts from other Expendables movies. Expendables 4: What Separates This Finale From Prior Expendables
Image
The Expend4bles haven't had it easy over the past almost fifteen years! Starting in 2010 with the first Expendables outing, Sylvester and his hard-headed mercenaries are back yet again with one final offering to finish the series with a bang.

Unfortunately for fanatics of the Expendables series as a whole – or action films in general – Expend4bles may or may not deliver the solid finale expected. Before the slimmed-down cast members take their place on the stage for the last time, we'll run down the reasons why this last outing of the hitmen for hire will be singular within the Expendables canon!

The Good

Expned4bles will be the final franchise in this action series; that much is certain. Known for arming themselves with every type of firearm they can get their hands on, the Expendables considered themselves the world's last line of defense, the team that gets called when all other alternatives have been exhausted.
