The math’s getting confusing here on Dexter: Resurrection, as the latest episode brings us two casualties and one resurrection — with potential to change those numbers in the weeks ahead.

The sixth episode, “Cats and Mouse,” sees Dexter (Michael C. Hall) stalking the Gemini Killer, played by David Dastmalchian, a murderer so famous as to top the FBI’s most-wanted list. As easily as he evades the feds, the Gemini Killer is no match for Dexter Morgan, as he all but ties himself up to the wrong end of the killing table. The Penguin waddled to the front of the pack at the 5th Critics Choice Super Awards.

On Thursday, the Critics Choice Association (Cca) revealed the winners of the awards show that celebrates fan-favorite movies and TV shows in superhero, sci-fi/fantasy, horror, and action genres.

HBO's The Penguin was the biggest winner, dominating all four categories for which it was nominated: Best Superhero Program, Colin Farrell for both Best Actor and Best Villain, and Cristin Milioti for Best Actress. This news comes about a month before the 2025 Emmys, where The Penguin is nominated for a whopping 24 awards.

I was recently able to catch up with series newcomers Krysten Ritter (Jessica Jones; Daredevil: Born Again), Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family; The Secret Life of Pets), and David Dastmalchian (Ant-Man and the Wasp; Late Night with the Devil) to talk about jumping into this wild world of blood and murder. They opened up about their twisted new characters, how they bring a different kind of energy to Dexter’s story, and why this season feels like the perfect mix of fresh blood and old-school Dexter vibes - and, of course, how they'll do their best to avoid Dexter's wrath.

Seasoned comic book movie actor David Dastmalchian addresses his long MCU absence after playing two Ant-Man characters at Sdcc 2025. David Dastmalchian made his MCU debut in Ant-Man, where he played Scott Lang's friend Kurt Goreshter. Eight years later, Dastmalchian played the alien being Veb in Ant-Man & the Wasp: Quantumania. Yet, neither character has returned or been acknowledged since then.

David Dastmalchian is continuing his budding career as a comics author with a brand new horror title for upstart publisher Panick Entertainment.

The actor, who can currently be seen in The Life of Chuck as well as Dexter: Resurrection, is working on The Accessories, a five-issue mini-series that he co-created and is co-writing with longtime creative associate Leah Kilpatrick. The comic and details will be unveiled at Dastmalchian’s Saturday panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The premiere episode has now tallied 4.4M cross-platform viewers in its first seven days, up 41% from the first three days, when about 3.1M had checked out the latest outing in the growing franchise, Deadline can exclusively reveal.

That sets another streaming record for Showtime, once again upping the threshold for the network’s most-streamed series premiere in history. Dexter: Resurrection is also outperforming the premiere of Dexter: Original Sin by about 25% so far.

The first-look image of Hannibal creator/showrunner Bryan Fuller and lead star Mads Mikkelsen's new movie, Dust Bunny, has been revealed. Revolving around an eight-year-old girl enlisting a skilled hitman to kill the monster under her bed, the horror thriller will mark Fuller's directorial debut.

Mikkelsen will star as the neighbor hitman. Joining him in the movie's all-star cast are Sigourney Weaver, David Dastmalchian, and Sophie Sloan.

Now, Collider has unveiled the first-look image of Dust Bunny, teasing Fuller's alluring and vibrant world. Mikkelsen, Weaver, and Solan can be seen sitting on a dark green couch while having a conversation. With a teapot and a plate of finger sandwiches on the table, the image evokes an Alice in Wonderland vibe. It's also been confirmed that the movie will come to theaters on December 12.
