Hollyoaks star Lucy Dixon has revealed that she would love to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

The actress, who has played the role of Tilly Evans since 2011, has said that she would take dancing tips from her mum.

Dixon said to Inside Soap: "I'd love to go on Strictly Come Dancing because my mum used to do the foxtrot, tango and ballet.

"I think she would love to say that I'd been on a TV show and done all that. And I really do love dancing - I used to do it a lot when I was younger."

Dixon is currently dating co-star Laurie Duncan, who plays Callum Kane, but admits that they are rarely on set together at the same time.

Lucy Dixon has signed up to star in a pantomime production of Aladdin this Christmas. The actress - who currently plays Tilly Evans in Hollyoaks - will take the lead role at the Norwich Theatre Royal's festive panto. Hollyoaks star Lucy Dixon has revealed that she is aiming to present a positive portrayal of teen life on the soap. The actress made her debut as Tilly Evans in June and became a regular from September, when her character joined Hollyoaks' sixth form college. Hollyoaks newcomer Lucy Dixon has revealed that she wants the soap's sixth form gang to be positive role models. The actress's alter ego Tilly Evans is now a regular on the Channel 4 show, having joined the Hollyoaks Sixth Form College alongside five other new faces and established characters Bart McQueen, Sinead O'Connor and Jason Costello. Tilly and her best friends Maddie and Jono were previously seen in the programme's special Abersoch week, which saw them enjoy a wild time after completing their Gcse exams. George, played by newcomer Steven Roberts, is billed as a "sharp-tongued fashionista". Steven recently graduated from Arts Ed drama school.

Neil is Jono's best friend - who wrongly believes that he's a big hit with the ladies. Neil is played by Tosin Cole, who appeared as Soloman in Eastenders:E20.

Another newcomer Laurie Duncan, from the Young Actors Theatre in Islington, plays Callum, the quiet one who does manage to impress the girls at the sixth form, but he's hiding a dark secret…

As expected, Abersoch gang Maddie (Scarlett Bowman), Jono (Dylan Llewellyn) and Tilly (Lucy Dixon) are all back on the scene as regular characters, attending the college alongside established faces Jason, Bart and Sinead. Lucy Dixon has confirmed that she is to join Hollyoaks as a new regular cast member. Posting on Twitter, the Waterloo Road actress revealed that she will make her debut on the show next month.
