Prison Break: A new project is in the works at Hulu with Mayans M.C. boss Elgin James at the helm
Image
Who’s ready to go back behind bars? In a surprise announcement, Deadline reports that Mayans M.C. co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner Elgin James is developing a new Prison Break project for Hulu. Written and executive-produced by James through his Sierra Drive studio, the revised version marks a new chapter of the incarceration thriller.

Elgin is keeping details about the new Prison Break project in solitary. However, Deadline says, “it is not expected to involve the characters who were at the center of the original series and its followups on Fox.” The original Prison Break debuted in 2005, following Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) as two brothers hatching a plan to escape Fox River State Penitentiary. With Lincoln heading for Death Row, it’s only a matter of time before push comes to shove, and the brothers must enact their plan or face the consequences of their actions.

“Lucifer” showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson didn’t want a sixth season of their Tom Ellis-led Netflix drama. After all, they had made their peace with the fact the show was renewed for a fifth and final season by the time the series finale was just about to be shot last spring, when the streaming service came to them and asked if they wanted one more round for Lucifer Morningstar (Ellis).

‘Lucifer’: Maze & Eve’s Wedding Day Hits a Few Snags (Recap)
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Lucifer Season 6, Episode 7 “My Best Fiend’s Wedding.”] “Drama? It’s Maze and big feelings, what could possibly go wrong,” Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) asks as everyone gets ready for the demon (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Eve’s (Inbar Lavi) wedding on Lucifer. And yes, something does go wrong. What could be worse than Adam showing up wanting Eve back? Meanwhile, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) continues to fail at being a parent to his future daughter, Rory (Brianna Hildebrand), though in his defense, this time isn’t completely his fault. Plus, forensic scientist Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) has pretty much figured out everything on her own by this point, so who can blame her for struggling with everything she knows about who’s at the wedding and handling it by drinking (way too much)? Plus, Dan Espinoza (Kevin Alejandro) is still a ghost, still making Amenadiel look a ...

‘Lucifer': Lesley-Ann Brandt on Maze and Eve’s Big Day and the One Shot She Fought to Get in Before the End
Tom Ellis in Lucifer (2016)
(Warning: This post contains spoilers through the series finale of “Lucifer.”)

It’s been a long, long road for Lesley-Ann Brandt’s Mazikeen to find her way from a demon with a hell-obsessed, one-track mind in Season 1 of “Lucifer” to a rough yet loving, soul-having hell spawn entering the show’s sixth and final season, which launched Friday on Netflix.

However, Maze had just a few more hurdles to overcome during the 10-episode series closer before she could finally become the woman she always had the potential to be. Among these was her need to truly accept Eve’s (Inbar Lavi) love for her and share that love proudly with her demon family, let go of her fears of losing Eve and go through with their wedding — which she almost sabotaged by bringing Adam (Scott MacArthur) around to stir things up — and deciding that she really didn’t want to...

Tom Ellis in Lucifer (2016)
The “Lucifer” Season 5B premiere date has risen. Netflix revealed Monday that the second half of the fifth season of the Tom Ellis-led drama will launch May 28.

That upcoming installment of “Lucifer” is set as the show’s penultimate, following Netflix’s June 2020 renewal of “Lucifer” for a sixth and final season. The eight-episode Part 1 of Season 5 launched last August.

“Imagine running a marathon and then getting right to the end and then they go, ‘Oh, by the way, the finish line is a little bit further.'” That’s how Ellis, who plays Lucifer Morningstar, described to TheWrap Netflix’s decision to renew “Lucifer” for a sixth and final season, after previously picking it up for a fifth and final season, after rescuing it for a fourth season following its cancellation at Fox after its third season.

Passage Pictures’ Uri Singer Developing Series ‘Dream Girl’ Starring Inbar Lavi (Exclusive)
Image
Passage Pictures is developing a TV series “Dream Girl” starring Inbar Lavi, who will also serve as producer. Inspired by Lavi’s own life, the project will be developed by the production company’s founder Uri Singer.

“Inbar’s standout work in ‘Imposters’ really caught my eye, and after finding her to be a fellow Israeli making her way in the industry, it feels natural to partner with her on a story like this,” Singer said. “It cannot be anymore perfect for right now.”

Described as a mix of “Entourage” and “Sex and the City,” “Dream Girl” follows a Hollywood actress who plays the girl of everyone’s dreams on screen while living a polar-opposite, single life in reality.

Lavi is most recently known for playing Eve, the first woman on Earth, on the hit Netflix drama series “Lucifer.” Previously, she had a starring role as the skilled con artist Maddie in Bravo’s “Imposters,...

Lucifer Season 6 Renewal Confirmed by Netflix, Sets Final Season Again
Charles Baudelaire
Lucifer has successfully pulled off yet another reprieve from hellish cancelation with Netflix’s official renewal for Season 6.

Indeed, to paraphrase a quote attributed to Charles Baudelaire famously used in The Usual Suspects, “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that his show got canceled.” In this case, Lucifer’s procurement of a sixth season occurs after a year’s worth of bittersweet advance goodbyes by way of social media in the lead-up to Season 5, which was officially designated as the show’s final season. Now, the title of Lucifer’s purported final season has been handed down to the freshly-ordered Season 6, as Netflix reveals in a teaser video.

Netflix has finally set the premiere date for the first half of Season 5 of “Lucifer” with an announcement that is missing any mention of this being the show’s final season.
