Adult Swim is gearing up for a major return to San Diego Comic-Con (Sdcc) 2025, bringing fans a treasure trove of live events, sneak peeks, and immersive experiences. Anchoring the festivities is an outdoor fan activation dubbed the “Pirate Purrrty on the Green”—a feline-forward twist on last year’s pirate-themed installation outside the San Diego Convention Center.

“Continuing our long tradition of being on the green at Sdcc, last year we introduced a pirate ship motif because we’ve always viewed ourselves as media pirates,” said Adult Swim President Michael Ouweleen. “We’ve also always used cats in our iconography… so this year, it’s cats and pirates. Expect owls next year.”

Adult Swim is celebrating Comic-Con this year with not one, but two live table reads. Starting at 7:15 p.m. Pt on July 25, the voice casts from “Rick and Morty” and “Smiling Friends” will perform a live episode.

“Rick and Morty” is also returning with a Comic-Con panel for the first time in two years on July 25 at 1 p.m. Pt. Cast members Harry Belden and Ian Cardoni will appear at a Sdcc panel for the first time ever alongside Sarah Chalke, Spencer Grammer and Chris Parnell, as well as EPs Dan Harmon and Scott Marder. As for “Smiling Friends,” co-creators Michael Cusack and Zach Hadel will give fans a preview of Season 3 at 2 p.m. Pt.

The network will also offer fans a preview of its upcoming series “Haha, You Clowns.” Series creator Joe Cappa will join EP Carl Faruolo and Adult Swim’s vice president of Development Cameron Tang...

Oddballs is a Netflix animation series written and directed by Ethan Banville and Robert James Rallison.

Oddballs is a “retro” animation series for kids of all ages, it has more jokes for adults than for kids with words like “cognitive”, “metaphor” and other “quantum subjects”: it offers what it promises as a series that does not want to stand out in its 2D animation and which focuses on the really funny dialogues and clowning, some of which is only suitable for advanced students in MIT.
