Newly-wed Sonnalli Seyggal and Ashesh Sajnani hosted a grand wedding reception for friends and loved ones here on Thursday night. Several celebrities from the world of cinema, television and Ott, notably film director Luv Ranjan and comedienne Sumona Chakraborty to Rajkummar Rao, Patralekhaa, Nushrat Bharuka, Sunny Singh, Omkar Kapoor, Varun Sharna, Aditya Seal, Anushka Ranjan, Vardhan Puri, and Raai Laxmi, attended the reception.

Sonnalli looked regal in a shimmery silver lehenga; Ashesh opted for a black and white ensemble. The duo are literally glowing in the pictures.

The duo exchanged their vows at a gurdwara in Santa Cruz West in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The shooting of dance king Prabhu Deva-led multilingual movie, ‘Wolf’, has been completed. The movie is being produced under Sandesh Productions in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.

Anju Kurian and Lakshmi Rai are enacting lead roles opposite Prabhu Deva. Anasuya of ‘Pushpa’ fame also has a prominent part in the movie.

The film team has shot for 65 days in locations across Puducherry, Chennai, Bengaluru, and the Andaman and Nicobar. The movie is based on a different, surprising script, according to the makers. Vinu Venkatesh has written and directed the movie.

Ambareeshan is the music composer and Arul Vincent is the cameraman. Prabhu Deva was last seen in cameo roles in the Kannada movie ‘Lucky Man’, starring the late Puneet Rajkumar. He is also acting in a movie with Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar.

Actors John Kokken and Pooja Ramachandran have announced that they are going to be parents soon. Taking to social media, actress Pooja Ramachandran shared a series of pictures of her with John including one which showed her baby bump.

She wrote: “Whirlwind of a love story, undying spirits, hearty laughters, crazy fights, endless conversations, lust, love and adventure, oh what a ride we’ve had and now, we are excited to say our little miracle is on the way. 2023 you are going to be so special!”

Sitting miles away in a foreign country, reading a blog – that is also the name of the movie – Oru Kuttanadan Blog, and discussing it with his roommate, Ananya. Oh yes, it is explained to be one man’s nostalgia to keep track of his native place – Krishnapuram in Kuttanad. What it tries to do is use him as an unnecessary prop to tell the film’s story. And the story, unsurprisingly, revolves not around Krishnapuram, the village, but rather one man who runs the place – Hari ettan, played by Mammootty.

Looks like this month is turning out to be really lucky for Shah Rukh Khan with a lot of accolades coming his way! After being honoured by the French Government, now the actor will be the presented with the Entertainer Of Indian Cinema Award at the 8th Annual Vijaya Awards.

Though the awards are to acknowledge the work of Tamil artists, this is the second time that Shah Rukh has been bestowed with this honour. Previously, Shah Rukh was presented with the prestigious Chevalier Shivaji Ganeshan award at the same ceremony.

The award function which will be held at Chennai will be graced by popular South celebrities including Shruti Haasan, Hansika Motwani, Vaani Kapoor and Lakshmi Rai.

Chennai, March 11: Superstar Vijay's upcoming Tamil action-drama "Jilla" was launched here Monday in the presence of the cast and crew of the movie.

The launch of "Jilla" happened at the office of producer R.B. Chowdhary. Vijay had flown down from Mumbai for the occasion, a spokesperson of the film told Ians.

To be directed by debutant Nesan, the film will feature Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. The cast also includes Mahat Raghavendra, Kajal Aggarwal, Lakshmi Rai, Nassar and Santhanam.

D. Imman has been roped in to compose music for the film, which will have cinematography by Natraj.

Meanwhile, Vijay is busy wrapping up Tamil.

Imagine and write down a list of things that could possibly make a bad, really bad film. Having made your list, carry it along and go to the nearest cinema hall to watch "Onbathula Guru", provided it's running. If not, save yourself the torture.

As you watch the film, you would be surprised to find that everything you have put down on the piece of paper is evident on screen. Now, there's no reason to pat your back because it's the sheer carelessness of the director that you could score a centum in this exercise.

A.M.R.Ramesh is known for making films based on real life incidents, which have also been widely covered in the media. His earlier film "Cyanide" was based on the incidents that led to the death of Sri Lankan militants who had come to Bangalore after the assasination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. "Attahasa" is a film based on the life and times of forest brigand Veerappan and his death.

The film faced many legal hurdles with Veerappan's wife Muthulakshmi going to court alleging that.

It's not easy to recreate a fitting saga drawn out of real life incidents of a controversial story, but filmmaker Amr Ramesh does his best to make this biopic of India's most wanted dacoit Veerappan appear plausible. What could have been a pulsating thriller of sorts, is jeopardised due to a screenplay that fails to evoke interest and keep the audiences hooked. That said, one can't ignore this film as it successfully brings forth crucial events.

Chennai, Jan 9: Tamil actor Vinay Rai, who had only one Tamil release in the last three years, has a busy year ahead. He has four films lined up for 2013.

"Vinay is currently wrapping up the Tamil comedy 'Onbadhula Guru'. He is playing an important role in Jiiva-starrer 'Endrendrum Punnagai', which is nearing completion. He also has two more Tamil films 'Iruvar Ullam' and 'Senthatti Kaalai Sevatha Kaalai' for this year," an industry source told Ians.

In "Onbadhula Guru", Vinay will be seen opposite an ensemble cast including Anjali, Lakshmi Rai, Premgi Amaren, Aravind Akash, Sathyan and Jagan.
