India’s First Formula One Driver Narain Karthikeyan Gets Biopic Treatment With Mahesh Narayanan’s ‘Nk 370’ (Exclusive)
Image
Mahesh Narayanan, the acclaimed Indian director behind “Take Off,” “Malik,” and Locarno title “Ariyippu,” is set to helm “Nk 370” (working title), a Tamil-language feature film chronicling the extraordinary journey of Narain Karthikeyan, India’s first Formula One driver.

The project, currently in development at India’s Blue Marble Films, will be produced by Faraz Ahsan, Vivek Rangachari, and Pratik Maitra. Amish Shah and Nilaanjan Reeta Datta will serve as associate producers. The screenplay comes from Shalini Usha Devi, who penned the critically acclaimed “Soorarai Pottru.”

“Narain Karthikeyan’s journey isn’t just about racing. It’s about belief — in yourself, your country, and a dream no one else can see. That’s what drew me to this story,” said Narayanan.

The film follows Karthikeyan’s remarkable rise from a rebellious boy in Coimbatore to the international racing circuit, overcoming class, color, and crashes to reach Formula One’s pinnacle.

Image
In the official trailer for Billy Joel: And So It Goes, the musician considers a reality in which “Uptown Girl” was a Mozart piece. It’s not entirely farfetched. His history as a musician started with listening to classical music. Besides, the singer and songwriter has learned not to count out the impossible. “Sometimes it’s alien to me — this guy, Billy Joel. I don’t know who that is, or what that is,” he says in the clip from the two-part HBO documentary. “I’m reminded of it...

FireAid: Inside the Star-Studded Benefit Show For Los Angeles
Image
Nearly 30 of the biggest stars of the past half-century came together on Jan. 30 to deliver a five-and-a-half-hour love letter to Los Angeles, offering the city a much-needed musical catharsis following this month’s devastating, destructive wildfires.

The FireAid show was a huge undertaking: With so many artists eager to take part, organizers split them into two simultaneous events, at the famed Kia Forum and the newer Intuit Dome one mile down the street. Fittingly, most of the classic rock acts played the Forum, while the more contemporary pop stars played the newer venue.

Grammys 2025: The Complete Guide to Parties and Events (Updating)
Image
This year’s Grammy week will be looking a little different, as the show will take place shortly after Los Angeles was devastated by wildfires in the Pacific Palisades and Altadena. Music’s biggest night will mark the first awards show to take place in L.A. since the tragedy began on Jan. 7, and many of the typical Grammy events have been canceled as the usual players — including Spotify and the major labels — redirect resources to aid wildfire relief efforts.

However, a handful of events will carry on with a charitable component, including the starry Clive Davis party and MusiCares tribute concert. Check out this year’s still-on Grammys celebrations below.

Taylor Swift Was the Top Touring Artist of 2024: New UK Study Reveals
Image
This sponsored post was created in partnership with viagogo.

With just a few weeks left in the year, it seems like everybody is looking back at the last 12 months and taking inventory of their 2024 (we certainly are!). viagogo, the world’s largest secondary ticket marketplace for live events, has decided to join in on the fun, as they’ve revealed the best-selling touring artists that blew through the United Kingdom in 2024.

Topping the list, perhaps unsurprisingly, is none other than Taylor Swift, whose “Eras Tour” brought in a record-breaking $2 billion in ticket sales over the course of its many legs (making it the biggest tour in history). As a bonus, viagogo also listed out the cities in the UK with the “most devoted swifties,” or, in English, the places that bought the most Taylor Swift tickets. For that honor, London takes the top spot, with Manchester, Nottingham, Glasgow, and Edinburgh following in that order.

Shanola Hampton shares what the big Margaret reveal means for Found
Image
Found just had a huge midseason finale and Shanola Hampton is opening up on what it all means for Gabi and her team!

Caution: This article contains Spoilers for Found Season 2, Episode 8

Season 2 of Found has had the M&a team shaken by Gabi (Shanola Hampton) revealing that she held Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) hostage for so long and used him to gain information on criminals. Police ally Mark (Brett Dalton) wanted to arrest Gabi and only held off by the lack of serious evidence against her while Lacey (Gabrielle Walsh) was more upset than anyone.

It’s taken its toll on the team with Sir still out there and causing stress. That included Zeke (Arlen Escarpeta) upset when Mark took away all his computers, his only link to the outside world. A major moment was when Sir confronted Zeke at his home and in his anger, Zeke actually stepped outside without realizing it.

DÌDI’s Casting Directors on Capturing Coming-Of-Age Angst and the Future of Casting
Image
DÌDI (弟弟) is the type of cinematic experience we all crave but rarely receive these days: an authentic coming-of-age story with a great cast.

The story follows Chris, a Taiwanese American teen trying to find himself in the Bay Area in 2008. As he grapples with complex family and social dynamics, I could hear the theater audience laughing, groaning, and yes, crying. DÌDI feels both personal and universal, thanks in large part to its committed performances. While the cast includes many young and first time actors, it also features Joan Chen, whose poignant portrayal of Chris’s mother, Chungsing, is a standout. At one point, when her character receives disappointing news, there was a collective ‘Aw!’ as audience members expressed heartbreak on her behalf.

Writer/director Sean Wang drew from his own adolescent experiences for DÌDI, and a post-film dedication to ‘mom’ showcases how close these characters are to the filmmaker’s heart.

Mark-Paul Gosselaar Addresses His Character's Villain Status In Found: "Does Sir Need Redemption?"
Image
Warning: Spoilers ahead for Found season 2, episode 2!Found star Mark-Paul Gosselaar has addressed Sir's villain status in the procedural, explaining his thoughts on if he's seeking redemption from what he does. When he was first introduced, the character had been kidnapped by Gabi (Shanola Hampton) after having kidnapped her in the past. She used him to help solve missing persons cases for her firm, Mosely & Associates, before he ended up escaping and taking Lacey (Gabeielle Walsh) captive. Found season 2 has crafted a cat-and-mouse game between them as the protagonist tries bringing him to justice and saving her friend.

Speaking with Screen Rant, Gosselaar stated that, despite the assistance Sir had brought Gabi during Found season 1, he never played the character like he was seeking redemption. Instead, the actor played into his character's notion that him and his captive-turned-captor are meant to be together, something that continues to influence his actions...

‘Found’ Creator, Star Shanola Hampton on How Leaving The Basement Fuels Even More Drama in Season 2
Image
[This story contains spoilers from the season two premiere of Found.]

Not so long ago, NBC’s hit show Found would have had Gabi Mosely (Shanola Hampton) keep her former English teacher and captor Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) in the basement for another season or two. But that way of doing TV, says Found creator/showrunner Nkechi Okoro Carroll, has passed. “Not in this day and age, with streaming and binge-watching and how aggressively our audience moves through content… if we’d created this show maybe 10 years ago, we probably could have,” she explained to The Hollywood Reporter from the show’s set in Atlanta.

“It was a much more traditional TV watching model then,” Carroll added of television’s past, when there were 22-episode seasons that ran once live then again in re-runs in the summer. “Not just our industry, but our audience has changed the way they consume content. I don’t know that we would have been able...

Image
Warning: This article contains Spoilers for the Found season 1 finale.

Returning to NBC on October 3, Found season 2 picks up after Sir escapes from Gabi's basement to torment her in the worst way possible. The finale saw Gabi conclude that her abductor-turned-abductee would remain a permanent fixture in her life unless she ended things for good. However, the realization came too late, as Sir poisoned Lacey's dog before taking Lacey herself.

Star Shanola Hampton shares that Gabi will be in mental anguish following her sister's abduction and believes that she is to blame. In addition to holding Sir captive, Gabi kept her crime a secret from Lacey and the entire Mosely & Associates team, leading them to think that the kidnapper is still at large. Image
Carrie Underwood replaces Katy Perry on American Idol judging panel for Season 25, causing mixed fan reactions. Fans express frustration over having two country artists as judges, and prefer diversity in music genres. There’s been some changes at Bringston University.

The third and final season of All American: Homecoming debuted Monday with a time jump to junior year, speeding up Simone’s [Geffri Maya] story a bit, since there’s now only 13 episodes to end the series. But luckily, the premiere episode takes a few steps back to catch audiences up on everything they missed.

‘All American: Homecoming’ Ending With Season 3 at The CW
Image
The CW is cutting ties with another of its pre-Nexstar original series.

The network announced Wednesday that the forthcoming third season of All American: Homecoming will be its last. The college-set spinoff of All American is set to premiere July 8.

The news comes a few days after The CW renewed All American for a seventh season — albeit for a shorter run (13 episodes) than most of its past seasons.

With the end of Homecoming, All American and the forthcoming fourth (and final) season of Superman & Lois are the only scripted holdovers from The CW’s previous Warner Bros.-CBS regime. (The network canceled WalkerA in May.) Since Nexstar took a controlling interest in the network in late 2022, it has jettisoned most of the scripted series from the earlier days and leaned into a less expensive co-production model for scripted shows as it looks to make The CW profitable for the first time.

Doctor Strange director, Scott Derrickson, is known for two things: horror and Marvel. His epic vision and style shine through in films like Sinister and The Day the Earth Stood Still. And yet, fans weep over the scandal-ridden production of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse Of Madness.

An IP that should have remained in the hands of Derrickson, the changing of the old guard to bring in Sam Raimi was a decision praised by many. However, with time, regrets surface, and missed opportunities are realized as fans grasp the true scale of Scott Derrickson’s vision.

Nabhaan Rizwan as Aden in In Camera. Naqqash Khalid: 'Starting this film, I knew that this was going to be a young Asian man but I was going to commit an act of violence in that I was going to deprive them of any backstory and make him completely blank and view him through this kind of like colourblind lens almost and that being quite a violent thing to do as a writer.
