New Delhi, Nov 2 (Ians) Cricket icon Kapil Dev found a unique way to kill rumours about his death that floated in social media on Monday by recording a video for promotion of his upcoming interaction with a private bank.
Kapil recorded a 21-second video in which he looks hale and hearty.
India's first World Cup-winning captain had undergone a successful emergency coronary angioplasty on October 23 and was discharged from Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute Hospital, New Delhi, two days later on October 25.
Earlier on Monday, social media was abuzz with a rumour that Kapil, 61, was readmitted to the hospital and some even went to the extent of saying that he had passed away.
Later in the day, Kapil, wearing a matching purple coat and trousers, recorded the video.

New Delhi, Oct 29 (Ians) A beaming Kapil Dev, India's first World Cup-winning captain who underwent a successful angioplasty last week, posted a video on Thursday, saying he is "feeling very good", and yearned to meet his 1983 teammates whom he called "my family".
Kapil, 61, posted the video in an exclusive WhatsApp group of the members of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian team.
Wearing a full sleeved purple T-shirt and black trousers, Kapil said: "My family 83. The weather is very pleasant and I am very eager to meet you all. I am feeling very good. Thanks to all for your wishes and concern. I am hoping that we all will meet pretty soon. I don't know when will the movie release but I will try to meet you all as early as possible."
"We have approached the end of the year and I am confident that we will have a great start to next year.

New Delhi, Oct 25 (Ians) India's first World Cup-winning cricket captain Kapil Dev was on Sunday discharged from the hospital after undergoing a successful angioplasty.
He was admitted to the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute in South Delhi after suffering a cardiac arrest last Thursday, following which he had undergone angioplasty surgery as a treatment. Angioplasty is a procedure to restore blood flow through the artery.
"Mr. Kapil Dev got discharged today afternoon. He's doing fine and can resume his regular daily activity soon. He'll be under regular follow-up consultation with Dr. Atul Mathur," a statement from the hospital read.
He was admitted to the hospital at around 1 am on Friday, and Dr Atul Mathur, Director of Cardiology Department successfully performed an emergency coronary angioplasty.
The 'Haryana Hurricane' himself tweeted late on Friday night to express his gratitude to his fans and friends. "Thank you all for all the love and concern.
