Gaurav Bhat(II)

Started 14 years as a celebrity/ fashion photographer but knew his calling was elsewhere. His attachment to his southern roots has always motivated him to tell real human stories filled with adventure. Having assisted substantial DOPs in the west, he honed his skills as a DOP and then transitioned into being a Director to tell stories the way only he could. Dressed down to the ground in a white tee & Mundu, this Mangalorean boy, Gaurav, mills around his house decorated with antique furniture collection, keen of eye and broad of a grin, greeting one and all with a Big Bear hug, a kind comment, and a dazzling flash of charm. When not burning the midnight oil at the edit or writing table, he spends quality time fathering his two lovely dog daughters and spoiling his friends/family with indulgent cooking. This young director's commercial film fetched 3 Cannes Lions in 2017, one of them being the only Indian entry in the Innovation category, that's The Big Bear Aka Gaurav Bhat, Director & DP.
