Sylvester Stallone's Criminally Underrated Adventure Drama With 83% Rt Audience Score Is Finally Getting Recognition on Streaming
Image
Sylvester Stallone is primarily known for his acting, for which he received two Academy Award nominations. However, the actor is also a director and a producer, and he has been behind many titles without starring in them.

One of them is 2024's Lost on a Mountain in Maine, for which Stallone is a producer. The film is an adventure drama based on the true story told in Donn Fendler's book of the same name, which narrates the author's experiences as a 12-year-old boy lost in the wilderness. Lost on a Mountain in Maine, which most fell under the radar, has reportedly found new life on Netflix one year later, according to Tudum.

Lost on a Mountain in Maine premiered on Jul. 13, 2024, at the Maine International Film Festival and hit theaters on Nov. 1 of the same year. It hit digital and PVOD on Jan. 7, 2025, with physical media released on Mar.

Lost on a Mountain in Maine trailer: Sylvester Stallone-produced survival film coming to theatres in November
Image
Back in 1939, a 12-year-old named Donn Fendler was separated from his family during a storm near the summit of Mount Katahdin in Maine. When he came stumbling into a hunting camp that was 35 miles from the point where he had gone missing, he credited the Boy Scouts with giving him the knowledge he needed to survive. Fendler then told his story to writer Joseph B. Egan, resulting in a novel called Lost on a Mountain in Maine (you can pick up a copy Here), which is considered to be a children’s book classic. Now Lost on a Mountain in Maine has been given the film adaptation treatment, with Sylvester Stallone producing through his company Balboa Productions. Blue Fox Entertainment has picked up the distribution rights and is planning to give the film a theatrical release...
