Following the first song "Party of Monsters" by Kiyoshi Hikawa , Japanese enka singer Keisuke Yamauchi sings "Yami ni Goyoujin" ("Beware of the darkness"), the second ending theme song for GeGeGe no Kitaro: My Favorite GeGeGe Generation . Yamauchi made his enka singer debut in April 2001, releasing 27 singles and six original albums to date. He recently won the Best Enka/Kayōkyoku award at Music Awards JAPAN2025. This is his second anime theme song work following "Ichika Bachika," the ending song for Nhk Educational TV's kids show Hanakappa . As reported , the pop tune was released under the unit name "Hikawa Kiyoshi with t.komuro" featuring J-pop artist and producer Tetsuya Komuro as director by request from Hikawa, and is now used as the ending theme for GeGeGe no Kitaro: My Favorite GeGeGe Generation , a special program to air selected episodes from past GeGeGe no Kitaro TV anime series. In the music video, Hikawa (Kiina.) shows off fierce dance performance with many "monster dancers" under the theme of "Monsters' Party." He said, "This is the first time I have danced so much in an original song (laughs). I am very happy that Komuro-san contacted me and said, 'I got goosebumps!' The winners of the 38th Japan Gold Disc Awards for 2023 winners were announced on March 12, with two-member unit Yoasobi 's third single song, " Idol, " featured as the Oshi no Ko anime's opening theme, winning two of its major awards — "Song of the Year by Download," which is given to a single track with the highest total number of paid download, and "Song of the Year by Streaming," which is given to the single track with the highest total number of streaming. "Idol" was digitally released on April 12, 2023, with its CD single following on June 21. As previously reported , the song became Spotify's most played song of 2023 in Japan. The song's music video also has over 446 million views on YouTube.
