Indian actor R. Madhavan faces off against a ruthless banking system in financial thriller “Hisaab Barabar,” set to premiere on streaming platform ZEE5 Global.

The film, which made its world premiere at the International Film Festival of India last year, follows a meticulous railway ticket checker whose discovery of minor bank discrepancies leads him down a dangerous path of systemic corruption.

Directed by “Office Office” creator Ashwni Dhir and produced by Jio Studios and Sp Cinecorp, the film pairs Madhavan with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Kirti Kulhari in a story that explores the power of ordinary citizens against institutional fraud. Mumbai, July 24: Mamta Verma, seen as Indumati's sister Bindumati in TV show "Lapataganj", is all praise for the show's entire team who works hard despite all the odds and feels lucky to be a part of the show.

New Delhi, March 30: Ajay Devgn and Sonakshi Sinha were named the worst actor and actress at the fifth edition of Golden Kela Awards here Saturday, while Shirish Kunder's "Joker" was adjudged the worst film of the year.

Kunder was also named for the worst director for "Joker", winning the award titled "Beta Tumse Na Ho Payega".

Ajay Devgn won Worst Actor (male) for Ashwni Dhir's "Son of Sardar" and Rohit Shetty's "Bol Bachchan". Sonakshi Sinha got Worst Female award for everything she has done so far including hits like "Dabangg", "Dabangg 2" and "Rowdy Rathore".

The Worst Sequel award went to "Dabangg 2" whereas viewers.

Mumbai, March 15: Writer-director Ashwni Dhir, who has given two successful films - "Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge?" and "Son Of Sardaar" with Ajay Devgn - says he would like to team up with his "lucky mascot" in his next film.

"I am scripting two-three projects right now, but I don't know which film will go on the floors next. But definitely I will cast Ajay Devgn in my film. I am very comfortable working with him," Dhir told Ians.

Every time Vindoo Dara Singh who plays a part of an extended patriarchal Punjabi parivaar in the Sikh heartland, opens his mouth to speak, he is shushed down by others saying, ‘Silencer lagaa’.

By God, at times you feel this loud, flamboyant, ostentatious yet – all right, admit it – sinfully engaging film should just pipe down. There is so much that’s noisy about this film. And we aren’t talking about Sandeep Chowta’s over-accented background score. Yet it’s never unpleasant noise.

Son Of Sardaar takes us straightaway into the core of a family feud in Punjab where Sanjay Dutt, playing a goofy oddball of a Punjabi patriarch as only he can, wants our affable Sardarji Ajay Devgn dead to fulfil an ancestral vendetta.

This Diwali it’s double dhaka: Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar (Sos) versus Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Now, we are not comparing the two here, that is for you to do, we will simply let you know if it is worth selecting Sos as your Diwali movie choice. Directed by Ashwni Dhir (Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge), produced by Ajay Devgn and with music by Himesh Reshammiya, on the surface Sos is the film of the ‘masses’, whilst Jab Tak Hai Jaan looks to be the film of the ‘classes’. This one is a comedy potboiler, whilst the other is a romantic saga. This one is set in Punjab, whilst the other waltz’s through London. So with the comparison’s over, here is what we thought.

The story in a nutshell is Sardar Devgn travels home to Punjab from the UK, to lay claim to his ancestral land.

One of 2012′s most anticipated films, the Diwali treat Son of Sardaar, starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha & Sanjay Dutt is definitely living up to the immense expectations this festive season.

Early trade reports suggest that the opening numbers for the action comedy are much higher then the other Hindi releases this Diwali with movie lovers queuing up in long lines outside theaters for tickets for Son of Sardaar.

The fun comedy was directed by Ashwani Dhir with the music by Himesh Reshammiya. ‘Po Po’ with its full on Punjabi beat is sung by Vikas Bhalla, Aman Trikha, and Himesh Reshammiya. Apparently it was Salman who had Ajay listen to this song awhile ago and then when Son of Sardaar came around Ajay not only asked if he could use the song, he also asked Sallu to dance to the beat and what a great show it is!

Mumbai, Aug 23: Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha's 'Son of Sardar' directed by Ashwani Dhir landed in controversy soup. The film which features even Sanjay Dutt and Juhi Chawla caught the attention of all with its teasers and first look posters. However all that euphoria evaporated when a senior lawyer slapped a legal notice to producer and actor Ajay Devgn for hurting religious sentiments of Sikh community. Lawyer Navkiran Singh after watching the film's official trailer on youtube felt that Sikhs are shown in "bad light" in some parts of the movie.

Despite appearing in action film Rowdy Rathore this year, Sonakshi Sinha and action stunts are not a familiar combination but it seems the new box office star looks to change that come the release of Son of Sardaar. Despite having limited experience on riding bikes, Sonakshi is set to take to the wheels Dhoom style for the film.

“Son of Sardaar is all about attitude and it was given that Sonakshi had to do something more than just play a ‘soni kudi’. Ajay Devgn is already riding horses in this rustic ‘desi’ film while Sanjay Dutt is accentuating his imposing personality by driving powerful jeeps. The Diwali clash between Ajay Devgan’s Son of Sardar and Shahrukh Khan’s next, is getting bigger and better.

Devgan is going out of his way to promote the film and has asked his good friend Salman Khan for an item number.

Mumbai, June 11: Actor Salman Khan, who has agreed to groove to an item song for his friend Ajay Devgn's "Son Of Sardar", will shoot for the number by July-end.

"We shot for one scene with Salman recently. But he will be doing the song by the end of July," the film's director Ashwini Dheer told Ians.

He didn't reveal much about the song, but of the film shooting he said: "Presently we are shooting in.
