‘Hisaab Barabar’ Movie Ending Explained & Summary: Did Radhe Expose Mehta?
Image
Directed by Ashwani Dhir, Hisaab Barabar suffers from a lack of originality and depth. Things would probably have turned out differently if the character arc had not been as shallow and the storyline had not been so mundane. The plot definitely had potential, but the creators missed out on the opportunity and didn’t capitalize on the talented ensemble of artists they had on board. So let’s find out what happens in Hisaab Barabar and how the protagonist brings the corrupt activities of a bank to light.

Spoiler Alert

What did Radhe find out about the Do bank?

Radhe had wanted to become a CA, and back then, he had worked very hard for the examination. But his circumstances didn’t favor him, and his life changed after the death of his father. He had to earn to support his family, so he decided to take his father’s...

‘Hisaab Barabar’ Movie Review: Flawed Execution Ruins An Otherwise Well-Intentioned Drama
Image
Of late, Bollywood has been really fumbling it when it comes to well-intentioned films about issues plaguing society and the country in general. Well, Bollywood has been faltering in every department lately, period. But it feels bad when you can see the meaningful message that the movie was trying to send across to its audience, which was then marred due to the flawed execution. Dispatch is one such example where a story about how journalists’ right to tell the truth is being violently suppressed was ruined by its need to be risque and over-explanatory. Indian 2 wanted to talk about the difference between online and on-ground patriotism, but it failed to leave a mark because of some of its absurd creative choices. Projects like Bhakshak, LSD 2, Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai, and Bheed were so sure that the topic that they were dealing with was potent enough that they didn...

Kartik Aaryan to star in Ashwani Dhirs Atithi At London
Kartik Aaryan
Last seen in the much successful Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Kartik Aaryan is all set to deal with an 'unwanted guest' in Atithi At London. Directed by Ashwani Dhir, the film will also star Paresh Rawal and Supriya Pathak in prominent roles. Based on the concept of an unwanted guest from the 2010 release Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge that starred Ajay Devgn and Konkana Sen Sharma as the married couple, Atithi At London will have Kartik Aaryan trying to deal with his relatives who visit the England capital for work and stay with him. However, producer Abhishek Pathak refutes that the film is a sequel to the 2010 comedy. He added that Atithi At London is a young love story. Amour (12A)

(Michael Haneke, 2012, Aus/Fra/Ger) Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva, 127 mins

Most romantic stories are beginnings; this is the endgame – the "till death us do part", as experienced by a cultured, elderly French couple after the wife's stroke. Call it a last slow dance in Paris. Watching body, mind and possibly love slowly diminish in their claustrophobic apartment, Haneke's gaze is stately and unflinching. However, there's also a slight remove, making this less emotional than you'd expect but rich in deeper themes.

“Son Of Sardaar is a rollicking rumbustious wild and wacky action-comedy” – Subhash K Jha
Starring Ajay Devgn, Sonakshi Sinha, Sanjay Dutt, Juhi Chawla, Tanuja, Mukul Dev, Vindoo Dara Singh

Directed by Ashwani Dhir

Every time Vindoo Dara Singh who plays a part of an extended patriarchal Punjabi parivaar in the Sikh heartland, opens his mouth to speak, he is shushed down by others saying, ‘Silencer lagaa’.

By God, at times you feel this loud, flamboyant, ostentatious yet – all right, admit it – sinfully engaging film should just pipe down. There is so much that’s noisy about this film. And we aren’t talking about Sandeep Chowta’s over-accented background score. Yet it’s never unpleasant noise.

Son Of Sardaar takes us straightaway into the core of a family feud in Punjab where Sanjay Dutt, playing a goofy oddball of a Punjabi patriarch as only he can, wants our affable Sardarji Ajay Devgn dead to fulfil an ancestral vendetta.

Let me warn you right away...

Son of Sardaar Movie Review
This Diwali it’s double dhaka: Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar (Sos) versus Shah Rukh Khan’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Now, we are not comparing the two here, that is for you to do, we will simply let you know if it is worth selecting Sos as your Diwali movie choice. Directed by Ashwni Dhir (Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge), produced by Ajay Devgn and with music by Himesh Reshammiya, on the surface Sos is the film of the ‘masses’, whilst Jab Tak Hai Jaan looks to be the film of the ‘classes’. This one is a comedy potboiler, whilst the other is a romantic saga. This one is set in Punjab, whilst the other waltz’s through London. So with the comparison’s over, here is what we thought.

The story in a nutshell is Sardar Devgn travels home to Punjab from the UK, to lay claim to his ancestral land.

Every time Vindoo Dara Singh, who plays a part of an extended patriarchal Punjabi parivaar in the Sikh heartland, opens his mouth to speak, he is shushed down by others saying, "Silencer lagaa."

By God, at times you feel this loud, flamboyant, ostentatious yet-all right, admit it-sinfully engaging film should.

Robber (2013)
Mumbai, Nov 9: Her next release is Ashwni Dhir's "Son of Sardaar" (Sos), coming out on Diwali, and she is also shooting for "Dabangg 2". But Sonakshi Sinha believes "Lootera" is her toughest project ever.

The movie, which also features Ranveer Singh, is directed by Vikramaditya Motwane of "Udaan" fame.

"'Lootera', in terms of look and character has been my toughest. I hope people like it. Working with Vikramaditya was like going back to school. He is a wonderful director in terms of getting out a performance. Going back to 1950s is not an easy thing to do," she said.

"Lootera" is slated to release in 2013, but before.

A recent media report had stated that Son of Sardaar's director Ashwni Dhir had first approached Kajol for the lead role opposite Ajay Devgn in the movie. The report even went on to say that Kajol declined the movie due to her household commitments and suggested Sonakshi's name instead. However, there is not an iota of truth in this news, says the film's spokesperson. Sonakshi was always the original and only choice of the director for the part opposite Ajay Devgn. Sonakshi turns Dhoom for Son of Sardaar
Despite appearing in action film Rowdy Rathore this year, Sonakshi Sinha and action stunts are not a familiar combination but it seems the new box office star looks to change that come the release of Son of Sardaar. Despite having limited experience on riding bikes, Sonakshi is set to take to the wheels Dhoom style for the film.

“Son of Sardaar is all about attitude and it was given that Sonakshi had to do something more than just play a ‘soni kudi’. Ajay Devgn is already riding horses in this rustic ‘desi’ film while Sanjay Dutt is accentuating his imposing personality by driving powerful jeeps. It was felt that a similar trait had to be added to Sonakshi’s characterisation as well and this is where it was decided that she would be riding a bike,” informs a source close to the film.

All too often some of our favorite...
