David Gilmour Announces Circus Maximus Concert Film, Coming to Theaters and IMAX

David Gilmour fans who weren’t able to attend his six-night run of performances at Circus Maximus in Rome last year will soon be able to experience it on big screens and at home. A concert film titled Live at the Circus Maximus, Rome will be shown in theaters worldwide for a limited time only, beginning on September 17th, with a physical release following one month later.

Directed by longtime collaborator Gavin Elder, Live at the Circus Maximus captures Gilmour’s return to the ancient ruins at the beginning of his tour in support of his 2024 solo album, Luck and Strange. Tickets for both IMAX and standard format cinemas go on sale August 6th at 2:00 p.m. BST/9:00 a.m. Edt at his official website.

For those who want to experience the concert at home, it will be available as two-disc Blu-ray or three-disc DVD sets featuring bonus...

Duran Duran Announce Special Halloween Concert Film Secret Oktober

Duran Duran have announced the release of an exciting new live concert film, Secret Oktober, available exclusively on StagePlayer+ from Friday 25th October, in time for Halloween 2024.

Secret Oktober presents the origin story of Duran Duran’s latest studio album, Danse Macabre. The concert film was recorded at the Encore Theatre at Wynn, Las Vegas, October 31st, 2022. Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, in full costume, took to the stage complete with 20-foot high skeletons, tombstones, cobwebs, coffins and ghouls, for a unique, themed set. The ultimate Halloween party ensued.

The concert film includes a parade of rarities and special covers – Duran Duran’s first live performance of ‘Secret Oktober’ since 2011, their first of ‘Love Voodoo’ since 2017, and first of ‘Nightboat’ since 2005. Duran Duran Announce Documentary Film ‘A Hollywood High’ Featuring Rooftop Concert Celebrating Los Angeles

Duran Duran loves Los Angeles. In celebration of their 40th anniversary, the band captured their recent rooftop performance in the city at the Aster and gathered up decades-old archival footage to pair with exclusive interviews for what would become A Hollywood High, their 75-minute documentary concert film set for release in theaters Nov. 3.

“Duran Duran have had an enduring relationship with the city of Los Angeles since the first time we came to America,” bassist John Taylor shared in a statement. “We were determined to do something unique to celebrate our four decades together.

Duran Duran have dropped a futuristic new video for their recent cover of David Bowie’s “Five Years.”

Directed Gavin Elder, the video features the band accompanied by Bowie’s longtime pianist Mike Garson surrounded by swirling colors as they tear through the track. Elder shot each band member individually across Los Angeles and London, enlisting artist Teek Mach to virtually bring it all together.
