In this journey, E also found love with a woman named Kris Yim.

Furthermore, Kris herself has an interesting wrestling connection. That could have been a possible reason for Kris to show that if given the microphone or chance to deliver a promo, she could easily surpass her husband and be even more savage than him, as seen in an exchange with E’s former friend, Xavier Woods.

5 Funniest R-Truth Moments We Will Cherish Forever After His WWE Release
Image
After a phenomenal run of 17 years, one of WWE’s most beloved characters, Ron Killings aka R-Truth, was released by the Stamford-based company. The man who brought the fireworks of humour was possibly someone who managed to make the most impossible things happen, and all of it through memorable splashes of laughter.

R-Truth’s departure from WWE would leave a massive void in the humour division, even though that acted as an all-important break for the fans. Pro-wrestling is all about storytelling, and the art of inducing laughs in the serious, hard-hitting business needs some crazy artistry. Over the last 17 years, R-Truth proved to the world that he belonged to the lore of legends who could fight and make people laugh.

Triple H’s 1 Weakness Has Ruined John Cena and New Day’s Heel Turns in WWE
Image
It has been a long time since Triple H took over the chief content officer position in the WWE. Since then, he has been mainly responsible for all the major storylines. Some storylines have landed in his favor and attracted the audience. However, there have also been some terrible ones that have failed to create traction with the audience.

Among those failed storylines would be the New Day heel turn and the recent heel turn of John Cena, which does not make a lot of sense. Though Triple H has done some great work with the Bloodline story, he has to really work hard with the present John Cena storyline and with the upcoming heels, as they have to be relevant and coherent.

‘WWE WrestleMania 41 – Night One’ PPV Review
Image
Welcome to this review of night one of WWE’s Wrestlemania 41 pay-per-view, which was broadcast live from Las Vegas, Nevada. Let’s see what went down on Saturday’s show…

Match #1: World Heavyweight Championship – Jey Uso def. Gunther The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Yeet! Jey Uso submitted Gunther to win the World Heavyweight Championship in front of a raucous WrestleMania 41 crowd at Allegiant Stadium. Uso immediately brought the fight to The Ring General, dropping the champion and forcing a stunned Gunther to collect himself out of the ring. It wasn’t long before the champion used his strength advantage to weigh on the challenger, though, including tearing Uso’s chest with his razor-like chops. John Cena vs Randy Orton Face to Face Stats in WWE Title Match: It’s Obvious Why Triple H Wants Another Match Before Cena Retires
Image
As a WWE fan, there are names that are attached to great matches and great moments. John Cena and Randy Orton are two of them. Their feud has lasted nearly 20 years, which is a substantial piece of wrestling history that displays Cena’s unwavering fire and Orton’s unforgiving disrespect.

Their relationship outside of the wrestling business, as they have been childhood friends, helps elevate their arguments in the squared circle.

The two share something special, as per my feelings. On Monday Night Raw after Wrestlemania 41, Randy took the WWE Universe by surprise with an Rko on Cena. In one moment, Triple H helped revitalize a feud that has been dormant for 11 years now, and it was evident that this storyline is still extremely exciting.

One of the greatest on-screen rivalries

Cena and Orton’s rivalry started in 2005, and as a fan, seeing them trade blows over the WWE Championship was just magic.

While most realize their dreams of being professional wrestlers early on, spending all their time on achieving the dream, there are plenty of WWE champs today who had no inclination to enter the field.

WWE icons like Dave Bautista, Kofi Kingston, Trish Stratus, and John Cena, all had different jobs and a pretty normal career until a wrestling opportunity found them. WWE’s Biggest Anime Fan Came Dressed in Dragon Ball Z Armor for WrestleMania

WrestleMania features grand entrances and action-packed matches. While it created an enthralling atmosphere for the fans throughout the years, probably none outmatched the kind of entrance the New Day took in Dragon Ball gear, with Xavier Woods leading the line along with Big E and Kofi Kingston.

WWE superstars have, over the years, utilized their love for anime characters to make their entry on the grandest stage of the WWE more unique and out-of-the-box. Be it the Sailor Moon character, which Sasha Banks adapted to, or Zelina Vega’s Naruto look, anime’s impact on the WWE is undeniable.

Brennan Lee Mulligan on ‘Dimension 20: Titan Takedown’ and Why Learning About WWE Was Like ‘Dante’s Inferno’

Brennan Lee Mulligan has shown “Dimension 20” viewers countless new worlds as the dungeon master of Dropout’s tabletop actual play series, but now he’s stepping into a new realm: professional wrestling.

The latest season of “Dimension 20,” “Titan Takedown,” is a four-episode side quest that swaps Mulligan’s usual crew of comics and D&d aficionados for a quartet of WWE wrestlers: Bayley, Chelsea Green, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods/Austin Creed.

Though Dungeons & Dragons and pro-wrestling may seem like two different universes, Mulligan says the idea for a wrestling season of “Dimension 20” has been brewing for some time. “These wrestlers have tons of fans among the Dropout staff and the ‘Dimension 20’ cast and crew,” he told Variety.

“We’d had Austin [Creed] on ‘Um, Actually’ and word got to me that he loved playing D&d, so there was immediately a connection there. I was like ‘Oh,...

Cm Punk has always been a polarizing figure in professional wrestling. Love him or hate him for his approach, his actions still left undeniable change in the wrestling business. During his initial WWE run, as well as his current return, Cm Punk has always been giving fans something special with his technicality, mic skills, and youthful rebelliousness.

‘WWE Raw’ Review (Feb 24th 2025)
Image
Welcome to our review of this past Monday’s episode of WWE Raw, right here on Nerdly! Let’s see what went down on the now Netflix-broadcast show!

Match #1: Triple Threat Match – Ludwig Kaiser def. Penta and Pete Dunne The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After his enigmatic debut, Penta took on Ludwig Kaiser and Pete Dunne in a thrilling Triple Threat Match. Penta showcased his tremendous athleticism, delivering a hurricanrana to Dunne that sent Dunne straight into Kaiser. As Penta looked to clinch the win, Kaiser yanked the back of Penta’s mask, allowing Dunne to hit a Bitter End on Penta. Kaiser, however, broke up the pinfall. Penta shockingly hit a Mexican Destroyer on Dunne, but Kaiser took advantage by sending Penta outside the ring and landing a Ddt on Dunne to steal the match.

My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: The New Day def.

Only 4 WWE Legends Have More Matches Than Rey Mysterio (1500) and 2 Of Them Are Not in WWE Anymore
Image
Rey Mysterio is regarded as one of the greatest luchadors in professional wrestling. He took the legacy of his predecessors and touched greater heights than was unimaginable for the size and stature of a wrestler like him.

The Master of the 619 made his debut in WWE in 2002. He began his rise to the top, battling opponents like Eddie Guerrero, Randy Orton, and Big Show. Four years after his debut, Rey Mysterio captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 22 in memorable fashion.

Although he left the company in 2015 and explored outside promotions, it was in 2018 that he returned, and since then, he has been a strong part of the active roster. In doing so, Rey Mysterio has wrestled 1500 matches in WWE, which is a historic feat for any superstar in the company.

However, the former two-time WWE World Champion is still not at the top of that list.

Match #1: Penta def. Ludwig Kaiser The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Penta scored another huge Raw victory when he took down Ludwig Kaiser with the Sarcafice/Penta Driver to settle their Royal Rumble dispute, or so he thought. When Pete Dunne interrupted Penta’s post-match celebration, it opened the door for Kaiser to unleash a vicious post-match attack.

My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: The New Day def. Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

After an altercation between Rey Mysterio and Logan Paul, The Maverick took out The Legendary Luchador at ringside before throwing him back in the ring. This paved the way for Kofi Kingston to hit Rey with Trouble in Paradice for the three-count.

Image
The New Day's reign as one of the most beloved tag teams in WWE history took another nosedive on WWE Raw this week, but this time, they were hilariously betrayed by someone they thought they could always count on—their own family. The New Day has been on the downward spiral ever since Big E was tragically betrayed by Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, who turned heel on the beloved big man, but this was truly a new low for the once-mighty tag team.

Image
A WWE title is a dream for all wrestlers, who strive for years to win them. However, the victory does not stop there as the winners also have to defend their title before the next one in line challenges their reign. While some wrestlers defend their titles for hundreds of days, some could not even last minutes.

This week in the USA, the social media platform TikTok was blocked due to privacy concerns. However, the platform was restored within the weekend due to the reported intervention of President-elect Donald Trump. Social media was rife with memes about things that lasted shorter than the TikTok ban and these WWE title reigns are some of them.

2025 is a big year for the WWE, and the company is not hesitating to kick things off in style. January 6, 2025 marks the night that Netflix becomes Monday Night Raw's home. Expectations are high as Raw debuts on Netflix, especially after the Netflix Kickoff Show teased what WWE's calendar year will look like moving forward on the streaming service.

Most importantly, there are high expectations for a select few WWE Superstars expected to play the most valuable roles for Raw in 2025. These are the Superstars who not only made an impact in 2024 but are expected to strive even further in 2025. Some honorable mentions are Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and Bianca Belair who are featured prominently in the Netflix promotion but aren't official members of Raw's roster. Travis Scott Hypes the Crowd, Kendrick Lamar Gets Dissed at WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’
Image
Netflix and absolutely no chill. The WWE’s franchise show “Monday Night Raw” made its debut on the streaming platform last night, and major stars came out, championships and bragging rights were earned, and hip-hop beefs were addressed.

Only in the WWE can you see Travis Scott don a championship belt, Kendrick Lamar get dissed in his hometown, and Hulk Hogan get booed in one show. Yet that’s par for the course at something like the “Raw” event, which broadcasted live from the new multi-billion dollar Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA, home of the LA Clippers.

The evening began with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson shedding his badass “heel” persona (that’s wrestling for bad guy) and talking sincerely, thanking the WWE Universe and even giving gratitude to rival Cody Rhodes, the Universal Champion that he bloodied and pinned in the ring last year.

The Rock also gave props to his real-life cousin Roman Reigns,...

10 Great Forgotten WWE Matches Every Fan Should Watch
Image
There's no doubt that WWE is flying high heading into 2025. They're setting attendance records on an almost weekly basis, while also regaining their niche in pop culture. The company can easily claim that they are the greatest pro wrestling organization of all time and the most vaunted in history. For decades, World Wrestling Entertainment has provided its fans with more amazing matches and memories than any other promotion ever.

Time has turned the page on several of these encounters. While fans easily look back on massive moments like Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant in the Silverdome or the coronation of Cody Rhodes as WWE Champion at WrestleMania Xl, there are many sensational showdowns that the audience often forget about. With such a massive library of programming, that's understandable. Many WWE diamonds have been lost in the rough, and some of the greatest matches have become mere afterthoughts. However, they...

Winners & Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Image
The final Monday Night Raw on Cable Television before WWE moves its signature show to Netflix next week was one rammed full of incident. Cm Punk and Seth Rollins had an all-timer of a mic battle that simply has to be seen to be believed. Both men were left snarling at each other as Raw went off the air. No punches were thrown. Just molten hot rage and personal, below-the-belt jibes.

Elsewhere, Dakota Kai and Lyra Valkyria will compete for the first Women's Intercontinental Championship. Sheamus returned to attack Ludwig Kaiser, The New Day were a nuisance all evening and landed a match with Rey Mysterio and the Lwo. Damian Priest and The War Raiders defeated The Judgment Day, and Chad Gable's renaissance continued with a win over Otis.

The New Day opened Raw to a chorus of boos. Jey Uso took over on the mic, before being interrupted...

Did Dragon Ball Just Predict a WWE Heel Turn? It Seems So
Image
It's no secret that anime's influence on mainstream culture grows every day, with several entertainment personalities not being shy about their passion for the Japanese-born media form. Of course, WWE Superstars are no exception, and in recent years, no one has shown their otaku soul more than the legendary tag team and faction The New Day. Xavier Woods, Big E, and Kofi Kingston have delighted fans over the course of the last ten years with anime-inspired apparel and other references, including a spectacular Saiyan armor costume for WrestleMania 33.

However, The New Day has recently brought their passion for anime to the next level, using two iconic Dragon Ball characters to tease the next unexpected twist in a current storyline that sees Woods and Kingston clash with each other for the first time in a decade. As tensions have been brewing in The New Day for months, pro wrestling tradition dictates...

New Day Rocks: A Complete History of WWE's Most Successful Tag Team
Image
The New Day is, by far, WWE's most decorated tag team. Before The Usos broke their record, The New Day were WWE's longest reigning Tag Team Champions in company history, being the first in the modern era to overtake Demolition's historic reign - and that's just one of the accomplishments for the 12-time tag champions, more reigns than any other team in company history except for The Dudley Boyz at 18, but this includes their eight Extreme Championship Wrestling and one World Championship Wrestling tag team title reigns.

The New Day will celebrate its 10th anniversary on the December 2nd, 2024, episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. However, there's no reason to celebrate for Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston, who continue to see trouble in paradise as their months' worth of dissent is close to bringing the group to collapse.

How could WWE's most celebrated, cohesive, and longest-lasting tag team suddenly...

Damian Priest
4 Winners & 2 Losers From Last Night's Monday Night Raw
Damian Priest
It's Survivor Series week, as WWE rolled into the Desert Diamond Arena for Monday Night Raw. Gunther was again left broken at the hands of Damian Priest. The two opened the show with Priest eviscerating the World Heavyweight Champion, before putting him through a table ahead of their match this Saturday. A Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match was added to Survivor Series, as Sheamus, Ludwig Kaiser, and Bron Breakker brawled all the way to the top of the entrance. The Judgment Day retained their tag team titles by the skin of their teeth from the vibrant and reenergized War Raiders.

Meanwhile, a new, much-requested championship was unveiled, and there will be a tournament to crown the first Women's Intercontinental Champion. The New Day stole the night with a passionate and personal argument ahead of next Monday's 10-year anniversary celebration. Nikki Cross attacked Scarlet Bordeaux as The Wyatt Sicks continued to...
