After a nice break over the seasonal holidays, it is nice to see Holmes do what he does best – annoy Watson. Oh, and solve seemingly unsolvable crimes. “Dirty Laundry” focuses on a murder in a high-end hotel, where the dead owner is found in a washing machine. In the meantime, Holmes presents an opportunity for Watson as she fast approaches the end of her time as his sober companion.

Invisible ink? Russian spies? This week’s Elementary was a nostalgic throwback to crime shows past, a tune whistled from The Big Book of Detective Standards. Unfortunately, the premise didn’t serve the episode well, and instead of the sixties spy tropes adding up to a kitschy fun caper, the viewers were presented with just another underwhelming, slightly tired case.

Luckily for Elementary, the charismatic presence of Miller, Liu and Quinn is enough to carry us over the inevitable bumps that come along in twenty-two episode, case-of-the-week series - even if the personal stories of all three were frustratingly side-lined in favour of the investigation in Dirty Laundry.

Chicago – Sarah Bolger is a truly lovely actress. She delivered one of the best child performances of all time in Jim Sheridan’s 2002 family drama, “In America,” and over the last decade, has blossomed into a real screen beauty. Hopefully it will only be a matter of time before the actress starts getting offered projects more worthy of her abilities. No one this lovely should be sentenced to a film as dreary as “The Moth Diaries.”

Here is one of the most curiously amateurish thrillers in many a moon. It was directed by Mary Harron, whose track record up until now has been peerless (“I Shot Andy Warhol,” “American Psycho,” “The Notorious Bettie Page”). The wit and urgency of her earlier work appears to have evaporated entirely from this flat horror fantasy with a scare factor equivalent to a particularly cheesy episode of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” Characters...

The first full trailer for HBO’s Game Change has gone online. Directed by Jay Roach (Recount), the film follows the behind-the-scenes turmoil of the 2008 John McCain Presidential campaign. While we’ve previously seen tiny bits of Julianne Moore’s performance as Sarah Palin, this full trailer puts her front and center with stunning results. Moore has gone above and beyond here to embody the former Vice Presidential candidate, and nails all the nuances of Palin’s character. Roach and screenwriter Danny Strong previously teamed up for the stellar Recount, and it looks as though they've expertly executed yet another real-life political drama. While some of Palin’s behavior in the trailer might come across as staged, the film is based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin’s book of the same name which was the culmination of their unrivaled access to both Presidential campaigns. HBO has released their first teaser trailer for Game Change, a telepic about John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign. It is a well-structured 52 seconds. First, Ed Harris looks just like McCain when you stick a hairpiece on him. A speech by Woody Harrelson (playing McCain's advisor Steve Schmidt) builds nicely to the big reveal of Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin. Plenty have tried on a Palin impression in the last couple years. Is it any surprise that Moore's, in just one sentence, sounds good enough to sustain a feature-length character arc? Ron Livingston, Sarah Paulson, Peter MacNicol, Justin Gaston, Larry Sullivan, Jamey Sheridan, and Melissa Farman also star. Arguably one of the most hotly anticipated TV shows approaching the horizon is HBO’s political TV movie Game Change, based on the book written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann about the 2008 presidential elections. We had no idea they would be altering Harris so much to capture the look of McCain. It’s nuts. The movie is based on the juicy book of the same name by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann about McCain’s 2008 bid for the U.S. Presidency and his running mate, Palin.

We’re looking forward to the trailer to see if the acting matches the look. So far the cast also includes Melissa Farman as Bristol Palin, Woody Harrelson as Steve Schmidt, McCain’s senior campaign strategist and advisor and Ron Livingston as senior campaign advisor Mark Wallace.

The first look at Ed Harris as John McCain in "Game Change" has been debuted via Entertainment Weekly. Wearing a suit and sporting white hair-do, the "Gone Baby Gone" actor makes a convincing impersonation of the former presidential candidate.

HBO has revealed a first look at Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in full wardrobe and makeup for Game Change, the network's upcoming TV docu-drama movie about the tumultuous 2008 U.S. presidential election.

The cast of HBO's movie "Game Change" has added one more key piece to its cast: Sarah Palin's daughter Bristol.

Bristol will be played by Melissa Farman, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Julianne Moore is playing Sarah Palin in the movie about the 2008 presidential campaign, and based on the first photo of Moore from the movie, the makeup, wardrobe and hair departments have done their job well.

"Game Change," based on John Heilemann and Mark Halperin's book, will also star Ed Harris as John McCain and Woody Harrelson as McCain's campaign adviser Steve Schmidt. The movie is being written by Danny Strong and directed by Jay Roach, who previously collaborated on HBO's "Recount."

HBO has released a photo of Julianne Moore chanelling the former governor of Alaska, and given the uncanny resemblance, she is Palin in comparison. Also: News on who’s playing Sarah’s daughter Bristol in HBO’s Game Change.

As seen in the first look pic, Moore has Palin’s hair color and ‘do dead to rights, and seems to have a handle on the “You betcha!” smile. The four-time Academy Award nominee is portraying the politician for Game Change, HBO’s TV-movie based on the book about John McCain’s 2008 White House run.

HBO has found its Bristol Palin.

Melissa Farman has been cast to play the pregnant teenage daughter of 2008 Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin in the HBO original film "Game Change," based on the book by journalists Mark Halperin and John Heilemann. "Game Change" chronicles the 2008 Presidential election, with special focus on and insider secrets from the doomed campaign of Republican nominee John McCain.

A relative newcomer, Farman has had a number of TV guest spots, including in "Lost" and "NCIS." She has a history with HBO, starring in its Emmy Award-winning original movie "Temple Grandin" in 2010. She joins a cast that already features Ed Harris as John McCain and Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, amongst others.

It was also announced on Tuesday that Larry Sullivan, of "CSI" fame, will play Palin aide Chris Edwards, while Jamey Sheridan, of "Trauma, will play McCain speechwriter Mark Salter.

HBO’s coming movie “Game Change,” which centers on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign, has cast actress Melissa Farman as Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol. According to a report in The Hollywood reporter, Farman, who also appeared in “Temple Grandin,” has signed on to play the part. Previously cast actors include Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin and Ed Harris as John McCain. The cable movie is based on the bestselling book “Game Change] by John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.

Tina Fey, watch your back! The first look at Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin in HBO's upcoming film 'Game Change' has hit the Internet, and she looks astonishingly like the former Alaska governor.

Moore and Ed Harris will star in the HBO pic based on the book of the same name. Written by Danny Strong -- yep, Jonathan from 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and writer of HBO's 'Recount' -- the film starts production on Wednesday. Jay Roach of 'Austin Powers' fame and the director of 'Recount' will helm the film.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Melissa Farman will play Bristol Palin. Viewers may remember Farman from HBO's 'Temple Grandin.'

HBO's "Game Change" has found its Bristol Palin. After the network cast Julianne Moore as Sarah Palin, "Temple Grandin" actress Melissa Farman is recruited to join the cast to portray the former vice presidential nominee's daughter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" star Larry Sullivan has also been cast as Sarah Palin's deputy chief of staff Chris Edwards. Meanwhile, Jamey Sheridan has just nabbed the role of John McCain's speechwriter and senior campaign advisor Mark Salter.

Also recently being added to the cast ensemble of the TV movie is Ron Livingston. The actor of HBO's mini series "Band of Brothers" is tapped to portray Mark Wallace, a senior adviser to McCain-Palin 2008. He led the debate-preparation team for Palin, who ended up exceeding expectations in her face-off with Joe Biden.

Previously, Oscar nominee Ed Harris has been tapped to play former presidential candidate John McCain.
