WWE Evolution 2025 was a night of celebration of the women of the past and present in the Stamford-based promotion. The show featured top competitors of today’s landscape and veterans in attendance. However, WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus was among those legends who stepped inside the ring rather than watch from the sidelines.

At the age of 49, The Diva of the Decade delivered, in the words of WWE superstar, a banger. She justified the ‘You still got it’ chants from the audience. However, when compared to a stunning record etched by WWE legend, Mae Young, sadly, Stratus does not come anywhere close to her.

John Cena is a man on a mission, and he is locked in to ruin modern wrestling for good. Despite being a heel personality and defending his title in questionable ways, fans love to see him come out as they enjoy greatness before they witness their childhood hero hanging up his boots, ending his legendary spell.

Surprisingly, this hasn’t stopped the WWE Universe or fellow locker room talent from showing their appreciation, as they can’t bring themselves to believe it is one of the last times to share the same ring as Cena. This sudden realization has made Matt Cardona, popularly known as Zack Ryder, take to his social media to express his gratitude for sharing the same ring with him.

However, the gratification of the 17-time WWE Champion does not end there because the ex-WWE superstar wants to go against him one last time.

John Cena’s heel turn at the Elimination Chamber Ple just broke the internet. For over 20 years, he has been the baby-face, the ultimate “good guy,” especially in the eyes of kids who grew up chanting his name. But that night, he turned his back on the very crowd that once adored him. Sold his soul, listening to The Rock. While many were stunned, not everyone was surprised. Matt Cardona (formerly known as Zack Ryder) was quick to speak out, claiming he saw it coming. With a pointed reminder, Cardona said he always knew who Cena really was, hinting that behind the smiles and slogans, those darker shades were always there.

This was about a storyline in 2012 when Cardona was the US champion while Cena was feuding with Kane. During that time, Cena inadvertently “stole” Cardona’s on-screen girlfriend, Eve Torres. Torres kissed Cena and Cardona, (as Ryder) saw them kissing.

Back in the early 2000s, the women’s division of WWE wasn’t as popular as it is nowadays. The women of WWE had to toil a lot harder and the storylines somehow were a lot more subdued. Michelle McCool played a significant role back then in shaping up a seamless transition for the Divas section.

McCool started with a story arc of a teacher and then shortly, she became a prominent in-ring figure. She fought out incredible rivalries with the likes of Melina, Mickie James, Eve Torres, Beth Phoenix, and most importantly, with her favourite teammate at one point in time, Layla.

Jackie Chan is known for hurting himself when performing his own stunts, and the action and martial arts icon joined forces with another guy who is also known for self-injury, Jackass star Johnny Knoxville, for the buddy cop action comedy Skiptrace, which is headed for Max next month. Directed by Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger’s Renny Harlin, Skiptrace pairs Chan and Knoxville together after a Hong Kong detective finds himself teaming up with an American gambler to take down a major criminal.

Written by Jay Longino and BenDavid Grabinski, Skiptrace stars Fan Bingbing, Eve Torres, Eric Tsang, Winston Chao, and Yeon Jung-hoon alongside Chan and Knoxville. Released in 2016, Skiptrace was met with a... not-exactly-ideal response from critics, with the action movie receiving a “rotten” score of 38% on Rotten Tomatoes and a somehow-even-worse score of 27 from audiences on the Popcornmeter.

The Bad News U Pack is the fifth Dlc release for WWE 2K23, adding new wrestlers to the game's roster. This Dlc follows a monthly release schedule, continuously expanding the roster and allowing for create-a-wrestler customization. The Bad News U Pack includes five new wrestlers primarily from the Chase University stable, rounding out the roster with a total of 249 playable wrestlers.

The Bad News U Pack brings yet another set of fresh wrestling faces to WWE 2K23. This is the fifth Dlc release coming to 2K23 - each pack has added a hearty crop of new talent to the game, with at least five new wrestlers from across decades of WWE history included in each. The last pack, the Revel with Wyatt Dlc, was the largest, uniquely including a sixth bonus wrestler in line with its Wyatt family theme. For the Bad News U Pack, that number goes down to five.

WWE’s “Raw Reunion” Monday night pinned down 3.093 million total viewers, an increase of 26% from last week’s regular ol’ “Raw” episode.

In terms of both total viewers and the key 18-49 demographic, last night’s “Raw” was actually the highest-rated episode since the April 16, 2018 Superstar Shakeup.

Yes, that means it did even better than the “Raw” after WrestleMania 35, which is a big performer annually and marks the start of World Wrestling Entertainment’s new “season.” Monday’s episode was 5% higher among adults 18-49 than that April 8, 2019 fallout show, and did 6% better overall.

And now, we enter the last third of the year, with plenty of titles to be excited about. Saban Films has debuted the official trailer for an action comedy called Skiptrace, starring Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville as the comedy duo. I thought Jackie Chan was done making these kind of movies? I guess not. Chan plays Hong Kong detective Benny Chan who reluctantly joins forces with American gambler Connor Watts to take down the drug lord who murdered his partner. This definitely looks cheesy, there's no doubt about that, but hopefully some of the action is entertaining otherwise what's the point of even making these kind of movies anymore. The full cast includes Fan Bingbing, Eric Tsang, Eve Torres, Winston Chao and Michael Wong. I'm not even sure if this is worth seeking out at all, but give it a shot to start. Here's the first official trailer (+ poster) for Renny Harlin's Skiptrace, direct from YouTube: Fists and feet are flying in this explosive action-comedy starring Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville.

In hindsight, the pairing feels inevitable: Jackie Chan and Johnny Knoxville in a buddy-cop movie. The two enact the evergreen straitlaced detective/wacky partner dynamic in Renny Harlin’s upcoming “Skiptrace,” the first trailer for which premiered today. Watch it below.

The former has played similar roles in the “Rush Hour” movies alongside Chris Tucker — and, lest we forget, Roman Polanski in a bizarre cameo at the end of the series’ third installment — as well as “Shanghai Noon” alongside Owen Wilson, of course. Bingbing Fan of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” and former WWE performer Eve Torres co-star in the action comedy.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer, former WWE Diva’s Champion Brie Bella has been eyeing retirement.

Her choice to leave the company later this year was made prior to Daniel Bryan’s decision to hang up his boots, and has nothing to do with her husband’s stepping away from the ring.

In news that should come as no surprise to fans of E!’s “Total Divas,” Bella is going to be pursuing her longtime dream of starting a family with Bryan. The show has frequently explored the dichotomy between Brie, who feels satisfied with her legacy in wrestling and wants nothing more than to settle down, and sister Nikki, who wants to continue dominating the Divas’ division while branching out into other forms of entertainment.

Remember the last time Jackie Chan played a Hong Kong detective on screen only to cross paths with a bumbling American idiot? It was the core dynamic that catapulted Brett Ratner’s 1998 action-comedy Rush Hour to a respectable box office haul, two sequels, and even a TV show over at CBS – one which doesn’t involve Chan nor his fast-talking co-star Chris Tucker.

But no matter, for Jackie Chan is portraying a very similar character in Renny Harlin’s Skiptrace, with Johnny Knoxville assuming the role of brash American gambler, Connor Watts. As the director behind both Die Hard 2 and Cliffhanger, Harlin has displayed a deft eye for action cinema throughout the years – barring the blemishes of Deep Blue Sea – though after the release of today’s international trailer, it’s difficult to imagine the filmmaker’s China-set adventure finding much of an audience – particularly in the west.

Also starring Johnny Knoxville it follows a Hong Kong detective who hunts down a Chinese crime boss with the help of an American gambler. This first international trailer, which opts for flashy style over substance, has some nice-looking setpieces, so hopefully it’s a another strong actioner for Chan. Women’s wrestling is on the cusp of a long-overdue change in WWE, with female superstars given three-dimensional personalities and consistent motives (on Nxt, largely). However, there’s no hiding the fact that, over the years, women in WWE have often been portrayed as sneaky, manipulative, and downright evil.

As a general rule of thumb, if a good-natured babyface aligns himself with a diva, he’ll be betrayed before long. As uncomfortable as many of these storylines may be to look back upon, there’s no denying that women have been the cause of some very memorable heel angles throughout the company’s history.

The WWE Hall of Fame is the highest honor for anybody in the wrestling business to be recognized for their contributions to what WWE has called sports entertainment. While the WWE Hall of Fame is questionable sometimes in terms of who is inducted and who is ignored, it’s always a tremendous honor for somebody to be inducted.

Most years the WWE Hall of Fame follows a similar formula. They induct about five or six living people, at least one person posthumously (like Randy Savage this year) and then in recent years there has typically been a female inductee as well. There hasn’t been a woman announced for this year’s class yet, so it’s a good time to explore some of the possibilities.

Cm Punk is set to appear in the upcoming WWE Studios film ‘Queens Of The Ring’. The movie will be released directly to DVD and digital download on November 11th and also features small parts for The Miz and former WWE Diva Eve Torres.

Punk’s WWE contract expired back in July of this year, following on from his self imposed exile that started in January. The wrestler left the company on terrible terms, however, his role in Queens Of The Ring was filmed before his exit. Indeed, the movie was produced way back in 2012, as a joint effort between WWE Studios and Kare Productions. The french film is a comedy / drama that centres around a young mother who trains to become a wrestler in hopes of bonding with her estranged son.

Punk’s role is perhaps going to be another source of contention between the ex-wrestler and WWE.

The WWE main roster is always changing, some wrestlers leave for whatever reason happens to cause their departure, some wrestlers move up the card because management wants to give them a push and some wrestlers move downwards, or stay still, sometimes merely because the creative team has a lack of ideas for their television character.

The last twelve months have been memorable and a lot has happened to the main WWE roster since June of 2013. So, let’s take a look at the main superstars who are on the main stage of WWE, rate them, and look at how their future in WWE looks at this moment.

WWE’s Natalya has been training with Ufc Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Natalya noted on Twitter that she is getting in the best shape of her life for Nxt Takeover, posting a photograph of her day with Rousey and ‘The Four Horsewomen’ Mma team.

As you might have guessed, the Four Horsewomen is a tribute to Ric Flair’s legendary ‘Four Horsemen’ stable. Rousey is a huge WWE fan, leading to some speculation that she might get involved with a WrestleMania after her Ufc career has peaked. That would certainly be something WWE would be interested in, Rousey is a pay-per-view sensation, the Ufc’s top star alongside Men’s Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones. Rousey has noted she watches Raw every week, previously commenting that she finds Cm Punk “sexy”.

Entrance themes can become almost as iconic as the wrestlers that they introduce. Crowd reactions for Steve Austin’s glass breaking, Hulk Hogan’s opening chords, or the Rock’s catchphrase have become legendary. If an entrance theme has something instantly recognizable at the beginning, chances are that the crowd will react.

However, there have been some bad ones. Not surprisingly, the themes in this list have introduced some of the most boring or uninteresting wrestlers in history. However, these wrestlers probably had zero input on what played over the Pa system as they entered the ring, so this list is not a knock on the actual people just their music.

The 2014 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony is this Saturday, and another group of inductees, headlined by the Ultimate Warrior, will join the ranks of wrestling’s greatest men and women. But there are still numerous deserving wrestlers who have not yet been inducted.

Here is a list of 15 of those wrestlers, tag teams, or factions that deserve to be in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Keep in mind that this list has been compiled according to WWE’s criteria for what constitutes a deserving addition to an “elite” group that includes Koko B. Ware but not Frank Gotch. There are going to be a lot of names not included that many will feel are more deserving of inclusion, and they should check out the list of the Professional Wrestling Hall of Famers or the Wrestling Observer Hall of Famers.

The life of a woman in WWE isn’t that easy because it’s fair to say that the professional wrestling business is a man’s world. To get to the top of the divas division you have to maximize every opportunity you get because the reality is there just aren’t as many opportunities as there are for the men on the roster.

On most editions of a three hour episode of Raw, there’s usually just one divas segment on the broadcast whether it’s a singles match or tag match. Often times those segments get under five minutes. That’s how little WWE thinks of their women at times.

WWE has announced the following departure today;

“As of Jan. 8, Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) will no longer be under contract with WWE. The former Divas Champion has chosen to pursue other endeavors outside the sports-entertainment world. WWE wishes Kaitlyn the best in all her future endeavors.”

Kaitlyn is due to face Aj Lee on Main Event tonight but will no longer be appearing in any future WWE shows.

Regarding her departure, it isn’t really surprising. The former Diva Champion has vanished into irrelevancy over the last six months. Welcome to this week’s results and review write up of WWE Raw, the flagship show of the biggest sports entertainment company in the world.

So, tonight is a special “Slammy Awards” themed Raw, with awards being given out throughout the evening in a variety of categories, including “Superstar of the Year”, “Rookie of the Year”, “Diva of the Year” and “Match of the Year”. So let’s get going shall we?

The show begins, live from Washington, with local boy, and most-over guy in WWE, Daniel Bryan, making his way to the ring to a monster pop and thousands of “yes” chants from the fans in attendance. His opponent tonight is the dancing, silk shirt wearing, former Johnny Curtis, Fandango, who is accompanied by the lovely Summer Rae. The match isn’t a long one, but allows both men to get some offence in before the inevitable victory of Bryan.

On last night’s Raw, Eve Torres lost her WWE Diva’s Championship in a match with Kaitlyn. A move that many had speculated would happen purely to shake things up; but it would appear the reason is far more serious.

It is being reported that Eve has asked for her leave with the WWE and supposedly last night’s Raw may have been the last night we see her for at least the foreseeable future. Eve requested her leave due to feeling run down with the road schedule and wanting to concentrate on her home life.

To me this couldn’t come at a worse time seeing as Kaitlyn and Eve had created a nice little programme around the Divas belt and were very much the only things going in the division. From here, I’m not sure where WWE can go with the ladies of the WWE but needless to say,...

Last night’s WWE Raw results from Tampa, Florida.

Michael Cole is on commentary and hypes The Rock’s return tonight, claiming he is here to evaluate which Superstar may be his WWE Royal Rumble opponent – WWE Champion Cm Punk or Ryback.

John Cena comes out to the ring to a mixed reaction and talks about Punk vs Ryback in the TLC match tonight. He brings up The Rock’s return and says you can almost feel the electricity and the boots wants to be put to assess. Cena hypes Rock’s return and the crowd pops. He brings up WrestleMania and Royal Rumble. He is then interrupted by Dolph Ziggler, Aj Lee and Big E Langston on the stage.

Last night’s WWE Monday Night Raw spoilers from last night’s tapings in Pittsburgh. The show will air on Christmas Eve, December 24th.

Santa Claus opens Raw up with Alberto Del Rio coming out and hitting him with his car. They do a stretcher job and take Santa away in an ambulance.

1) Kane defeated Cody Rhodes

Kaitlyn, Layla, Alicia Fox and Natalya defeated Rosa Mendes, Eve Torres, Tamina Snuka and Aksana in a Divas Little Helper’s Match where they were all dressed in Christmas gear. Kaitlyn pinned Eve for the victory.

2) Sheamus defeated World Heavyweight Champion Big Show with the Brogue Kick in a non-title Lumberjack Frost Match. The guys surrounding the ring as Lumberjacks were Tyson Kidd, Justin Gabriel, Darren Young, Titus O’Neil, Drew McIntyre, Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal, Tensai, Brodus Clay and The Usos.

Last night’s WWE Super SmackDown results live from Pittsburgh. Josh Matthews, Michael Cole and John Bradshaw Layfield are on commentary.

The show opens with MizTV and his guests Dolph Ziggler and Aj Lee. They come out together with Big E Langston. They stop and kiss before heading to the ring.

Miz asks why Aj screwed John Cena and she asks why did Cena play with her heart. She thought their kiss was the start of something beautiful together but she was wrong. She says Cena was just messing with her heart and emotions. The crowd chants “Aj’s crazy” and she gets upset. Aj says Cena wanted to keep her hidden away like his dirty little secret. Aj says in the end he was no different to Cm Punk and Daniel Bryan, others who broke her heart. Miz asks Ziggler if he’s aboard the crazy train and Langston steps in between them.

Last night’s WWE Raw results from Philadelphia. It’s the Slammy Awards show and Michael Cole welcomes us to the show, alongside Jerry “The King” Lawler and John Bradshaw Layfield.

1) Rey Mysterio defeated Damien Sandow with the 619 and the splash from the top for the victory. Cody Rhodes and Sin Cara were at ringside.

Booker T comes out to award the first Slammy Award – “Tell Me I Just Did Not See That”. The nominees are Brad Maddox screwing Ryback, Daniel Bryan losing the World Title in 18 seconds to Sheamus at WrestleMania, Kofi Kingston walking on his hands at the Royal Rumble and Cm Punk hitting the Gts on The Rock at Raw 1000. Booker goes to name the winner but instead out comes The Boogeyman! making his WWE return. He smashes an alarm clock over his head, dances around and pulls out the worms.

Like most fans of professional wrestling, my enthusiasm for it has ebbed and flowed quite a bit ever since I got hooked on watching Hulk Hogan, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, and the Ultimate Warrior toss people around in the late ’80s. I was a weekly TV watcher during childhood, drifted away around middle school, came back around again in the late ’90s, ignored it during college, then became mildly obsessed again around 2005. Oddly, though I no longer watch any of the weekly WWE TV shows with any sort of regularity, I’m more invested than I have ever been, thanks to the Internet.

Last night’s WWE TLC pay-per-view results from the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Matt Striker and Scott Stanford kick off the pre-show for the pay-per-view and talks about the online Slammys. Brodus Clay won “Best Dancer of the Year”. Charlie Sheen took home “Social Media Ambassador of the Year” Slammy. Jerry Lawler returning home at the airport after his heart attack is WWE.com’s Exclusive Video of the Year. The Slammy for the “Crowd Chant of the Year” is Ryback’s “Feed Me More”. The Slammy for the “Upset of the Year” went to Daniel Bryan for defeating Mark Henry and Big Show at Royal Rumble. And finally, Aj Lee won the Slammy for “Diva of the Year”.

Ziggler is here to talk about numbers. 6 and 15. 6 is the number of days until TLC and 15 is the number of days before Christmas. Dolph says Cena, Christmas, TLC are one in the same and that Cena has been handed opportunities and has failed.

Dolph Ziggler brings out David Otunga backstage as the new team member of Team Ziggler to replace the injured Cody Rhodes. The rest of the team groans but Ziggler hypes him up and Alberto Del Rio agrees that he should command respect… though they all know he will be eliminated early. They argue as Ziggler tries to hype Otunga.

- We go backstage with Dolph Ziggler, Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Alberto Del Rio and Ricardo Rodriguez. Ziggler has found a replacement for Cody and in comes David Otunga. Everyone groans but Ziggler tries to hype them up. Del Rio agrees everyone should respect Dolph but says everyone knows he will be eliminated early. Del Rio says then everyone will follow him. They start arguing. Ziggler tries to get them hype again but has no luck.

Last night’s WWE Smackdown Spoilers from the tapings at The Q in Cleveland, Ohio. The show will air on Friday night on SyFy (Us) and on Sky Sports (UK).

The show opens with The Miz hosting MizTV with his special guest Mick Foley. The whole of Team Foley come out to talk about the Survivor Series. Kofi Kingston manages to keep the peace between Kane and Daniel Bryan but Bryan argues with Miz about their history. Randy Orton says he doesn’t trust anyone.

Team Ziggler come out and Alberto Del Rio questions if Ziggler can lead their team properly and they argue. Mick Foley reveals that Booker T has given him some booking power for tonight and it will be Del Rio & Ziggler vs Orton & Miz for later on.
