The audience at a THR Frontrunners panel in Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon still wasn’t over one of the shocking season one deaths in the Dan Fogelman apocalyptic thriller Paradise, months after it occurred.
During a panel discussion following a screening of episode four of the Hulu series in which Nicole Brydon Bloom’s agent Jane Driscoll kills her boyfriend, fellow agent Billy Pace, played by Jon Beavers, attendees began to lightly boo the actress on first speaking, which co-star and executive producer Sterling K. Brown jokingly shut down.
“Don’t you do that; that’s how good she is,” Brown told the crowd, drawing a comparison to a Jekyll and Hyde-type character he used to portray during the stage play of Intimate Apparel at the Guthrie Theater that caused him to receive “vociferous boos” from attendees during curtain call each night. “That’s a sweet girl — a sweet,...

Hulu’s Paradise is continuing to build out its post-apocalyptic world.
The drama from creator Dan Fogelman has added Raymond Cham Jr. (Max’s Sort Of) to its cast, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. He’s one of several new additions to the Paradise ensemble for the coming season, joining Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty.
As with most things about season two, details about Cham’s character are being kept quiet for now. Cham will have a recurring role. Paradise is in production on season two, though Hulu hasn’t set a premiere date yet.
Paradise is set in a seemingly idyllic community where a Secret Service agent (Sterling K. Brown) is posted to keep watch over a former president of the United States (James Marsden). The show’s first season (spoilers ahead), however, kicked off with the murder of the president and the revelation that the city is actually a huge,...

Paradise star Sterling K. Brown can’t say much about the hotly anticipated second season of the mystery-driven, post-apocalyptic drama. But he can confirm — perhaps to the dismay of some fans — that his naked backside likely won’t be making a return appearance.
“Me and [Rachel] Brosnahan had this conversation, like, ‘Once you show them once, once is enough!’” he told Gold Derby at a reception celebrating the Hulu series’ breakout success. Brown likened his character Xavier Collins’ revealing scene to Brosnahan’s brief exposure in the debut episode of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. “You may see him in various states of undress, but the Full Moon will be saved for another series.”
Still, he offered a small teaser: “We will see what the world is like outside of the bunker, and it's definitely not like what it was inside.”
Inside the chic, tucked-away Hollywood lounge Mars, Brown was joined by costars Julianne Nicholson,...

For All Mankind, one of Apple TV+’s most acclaimed sci-fi dramas, is all set to return for its 5th installment in an attempt to continue humanity’s venture into the exploration of space. The creators of the series, Matt Wolpert, Ronald D Moore, and Ben Nedivi, have reimagined the global space race, depicting a reality where the first people to land on the moon were from the Soviet Union and not the United States.
Season 4 finale concluded with remarkable development, which included a tragic bombing incident at the iconic John Space Centre as well as the expansion of Happy Valley, the Martian colony. Anticipation runs high for Season 5. Let’s dive right into what we know so far from the storyline, release date, cast, and everything in between.

Apple TV+ is taking a bold leap into uncharted territory with a gallant spinoff of its highly praised alternate-history show For All Mankind. Ronald D. Moore, the executive producer, has described the project as a daring attempt, pointing to the risks and realism entrenched in the Soviet space program.
The original show is already a concept rarely showcased in Western media. Now, with the new courageous narrative shift, audiences can expect to view the Cold War’s space race from a fresh lens, diving deep into the lives of Russian engineers, cosmonauts, and intelligence officers.
Star City might be a gritty shift from For All Mankind

Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert, and Ben Nedivi, Apple TV+’s science fiction drama series For All Mankind has received critical acclaim for its concept. The show dramatizes an alternate version of the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union, and each episode introduces an exciting alternate history to explore.
For All Mankind is reportedly taken from the plaque that the astronauts placed on the moon where Neil Armstrong took his first steps. It read, ‘Here men from the planet Earth first set foot upon the moon, July 1969 A.D. We came in peace for all mankind.’ One detail from the show goes on to depict that the world would be a better place if America achieved gender equity.

It’s now been just over a month since the conclusion of Paradise Season 1, and the latest collaboration from Sterling K. Brown and Dan Fogelman just crossed a major streaming milestone. Paradise took to its official Instagram page to announce that the series has passed the colossal 100 million hours streamed milestone. This comes not long after the first batch of images from the set of Paradise Season 2 were released, showing Sterling K. Brown reprising his role as Agent Xavier Collins. Paradise was acclaimed by critics and audiences upon its release and earned a swift renewal roughly halfway through Season 1, and Fogelman has already confirmed plans for the series to return to Hulu next year. Paradise Season 2 began production on March 28, roughly three weeks after the Season 1 finale.

It’s been almost a month since production began on Paradise Season 2, and naturally, fans are enthusiastically awaiting loads of info about the new chapter. Most recently, one such detail, as seen on the show’s official Instagram page, is the return of Sterling K. Brown’s Xavier Collins, who looks quite battered, posing with a clapperboard. Collins is one of several characters set to make a comeback in the new season, which began filming on March 28, as confirmed by series creator Dan Fogelman on social media.
“Sterling K. Brown is back on set for season 2!” the new post’s caption read. "You ABSolutely need to swipe.” Brown may be worse for wear in one of the images, but that’s not the case for the others, as he puts his eye-catching, toned physique on display. If you don't own a Hulu subscription and missed the roller-coaster ride that new series Paradise is, ABC has got you covered. This weekend, the network announced that it will air the hit show on linear TV, just like it did with the pilot episode back in January. Like other network shows, Paradise will air weekly, and its air date has already been set. You can keep up with the thriller series on Mondays at 10/9c, and the very first episode airs tonight.
The strategy mirrors what ABC did in January to hype up the new show. Back then, the network broadcast the series premiere in order to lure viewers to check it out on Hulu. Now that Season 1 is done, however, there's no reason to allow new audiences to discover it, especially if it means building a bigger fan base that will eagerly wait for the Season 2 episodes that are already in production.

Paradise kicked off its Emmys campaign on Friday with a "cheeky" panel featuring creator Dan Fogelman and the cast from the Hulu thriller. The jovial Q&a was held at the Television Academy's Saban Media Center following a screening of Episode 7, "This Day." While the discussion mostly centered on the stellar performances and twists that kept viewers guessing all season, the moment that had fans roaring was star Sterling K. Brown addressing his own personal assets.
"He talkin' about my booty," the three-time Emmy winner joked when moderator Gerrad Hall mentioned his nude scene in Episode 3. "Here's the thing. My wife is blessed in her posterior chain. For me, there's a little bit of internal competition because I don't want her to think that she is the only one who is blessed. Shout out to Peloton! This post contains spoilers from the Paradise season 1 finale from this point forward.
After a thrilling debut season, Hulu's hit series Paradise dropped its season finale, and the episode provided so many anxiously awaited answers. For starters, we learned who killed President Bradford (James Marsden), which was the inciting incident that rather brutally displayed the foundational cracks in this show's titular underground society.
The last few episodes found Xavier (Sterling K. Brown) fighting back against the leadership regime that hasn't been honest with the residents of Paradise, and that has put him in a very dangerous battle of the wits with Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson). Their tense battle reaches its most shocking fever pitch in the finale, which leaves one life hanging in the balance.
Even though we did receive plenty of answers about our lingering questions, the Paradise season finale connecting all of the dots was a slight let down.

The following contains spoilers for Paradise Season 1, Episode 6, "You Asked For Miracles," now streaming on Hulu.
The first season of Paradise was transformative for Nicole Robinson. She started the Hulu drama as Xavier Collins' no-nonsense boss and ended it as the one person Xavier completely trusted. That made it an incredible role for actor Krys Marshall, who shaped Robinson into one of the show's coolest characters. But how did she work with creator Dan Fogelman and the creative team to make that happen?
In an interview with Cbr, For All Mankind alum Marshall revealed how Robinson was not specifically conceived to be a Black woman, and how she didn't even originally get a first name. She spoke about how Robinson evolved over the course of the season, especially in her relationships with Xavier and President Cal Bradford. Plus, with Season 2 on the horizon, what will Robinson's goals be?

Spoiler Alert: This article contains major spoilers from “The Man Who Kept The Secrets,” the Season 1 finale of “Paradise,” now streaming on Hulu.
The first season of “Paradise” officially came to an end on March 4, with the killer being revealed as none other than… Trent.
You may be asking who Trent is. That’s because his name was mentioned very little in the first season of the show, but he was best known as the librarian. In Episode 7, specifically, Trent (Ian Merrigan) had a conversation with Cal (James Marsden), telling him where he could go to make a mixtape.
It was revealed during the finale that before the world as they knew it ended, Trent worked as the project manager helping to build the bunker. After alerting Anders (Erik Svedberg-Zelman), the architect building Paradise, that there was iron arsenic sulfide — a deathly mineral — on the work site, he was fired from his job.

The following contains spoilers about the Paradise Season 1 finale, “The Man Who Kept the Secrets.”
Who killed President Cal Bradford (James Marsden)?
Paradise answered that question during the show’s season finale, “The Man Who Kept the Secrets,” with a perpetrator few likely saw coming. The killer was Trent, the mild-mannered librarian played by Ian Milligan, a character revealed to be neither mild-mannered nor a librarian. For much of the show's first season, Trent has been hiding in plain sight; he’s the failed assassin who attempted to kill Cal in the flashback in the show’s pilot episode.
However, as shown through other flashbacks in the finale, Trent was previously a construction foreman working on the Paradise excavation and build in Colorado, organized by Sam, aka Sinatra (Julianne Nicholson). As Trent develops seemingly romantic feelings for one of the construction workers, a tragedy occurs: the mountain where Paradise will...

Note: This story contains spoilers from “Paradise” Episode 8.
“Paradise” closed out its first season with several bombshells that Krys Marshall said will lead to some “ugly” confrontations in Season 2.
The Season 1 finale reveals Cal’s killer as Trent (Ian Merrigan), a librarian in Paradise who was recruited early on in the building process to manage the construction of the underground city. When he discovered that fumes from the site were killing the workers and was subsequently fired from the gig, he plotted his revenge against Cal, attempting to assassinate him once during his first term — which was thwarted by Xavier (Sterling K. Paradise is an American political thriller TV series created by Dan Fogelman. The show premiered on Hulu in the U.S. on January 26, 2025, and received mostly positive reviews from critics. In February 2025, it was renewed for a second season.
The series takes place in a massive underground bunker in Colorado, three years after a disaster. It follows Secret Service agent Xavier Collins, who is trying to uncover the truth behind the President’s murder. As suspicion falls on him, Xavier searches for answers, unsure of who he can trust. His investigation leads to shocking discoveries that change everything.
Dan Fogelman recently revealed that the show’s season 2 would begin production soon. The confirmation came after a fan joked that he shouldn’t wait 2 years to deliver season 2:

Zero Day is one of Netflix's most popular and talked about shows at the moment, which doesn't come as a surprise given its compelling storyline and amazingly talented cast. I mean, who wouldn't want to watch a show starring big names such as Robert De Niro, Angela Bassett, Jesse Plemons, Lizzy Caplan, Connie Britton, etc.?
The entire first season of the new political thriller dropped on Netflix on Feb. 20, and with just six episodes, it didn't take long for viewers to binge-watch the whole installment. As expected, many rushed to search for details about a potential second season. However, they may not find the news they were hoping for. With Zero Day being billed as a limited series, the chances of it returning with a new season are slim, as its storyline is intended to be a self-contained narrative.
While this is disappointing news, there's no need to fret...

Dr. Gabriela Torabi (Sarah Shahi) is doing the best she can to keep Paradise from becoming hell on Earth on this week’s episode of Hulu’s “Paradise.” But in her unofficial job as mediator between rogue Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) and Paradise boss Samantha “Sinatra” Redmond (Julianne Nicholson), she’s barely holding it together by the hour’s end.
Following Xavier and Robinson’s (Krys Marshall) “Die Hard”-esque mission to procure Sinatra’s hidden stash of weapons and try to out Sinatra’s nefarious dealings and the lies she’s told to Paradise’s bunker residents, Sinatra turns off the artificial sky against all recommendations from Torabi in order to stop Xavier’s team, sending everyone into a panic. The following contains major spoilers from Paradise Season 1, Episode 6, "You Asked For Miracles," now streaming on Hulu.
Paradise Season 1, Episode 6, "You Asked For Miracles," is the beginning of the end. The Hulu show can't talk about the near-end of humanity and not deliver something on a truly epic scale. But with just three episodes to go in the season -- and the proverbial cat out of the bag -- the expectations are as high as the stakes. This episode is remarkably able to service both.
"You Asked For Miracles" picks up after Xavier Collins has announced that not alll is well in Paradise. With Xavier's message still looming in the sky, Samantha Redmond swings into action to stop whatever the rogue agent has planned before the carefully constructed society collapses.

This post contains spoilers from Paradise episode 5 from this point forward.
After an explosive fourth episode, how could Paradise top that unexpected death and all of those shocking revelations? Well, for starters, the new hit Hulu original political thriller slowed down a bit to allow us to catch our breath and fill in the gaps. But the series also went full stream ahead on dropping more bombshells as Xavier carefully plots his next move. (Hint: It's a checkmate.)
"In the Palaces of Kings" finds Xavier learning about the sudden death of his friend Agent Billy Pace, and just like when he found President Cal Bradford dead in his home, Xavier knows that there's something much more sinister at play. He doesn't know who to trust or what's going on, but he's getting closer after episode 5's developments and exploration into President Bradford's final days.

Paradise is one of the best Hulu shows in a long time! Things get wild in Paradise episode 1, “Wildcat is Down,” and I have a feeling things are going to stay that way for the majority of the season.
The season premiere begins with Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) packing his daughter and son their lunch before heading out for a morning jog through the perfect oasis of a city. Xavier pays a visit to a mansion where the President of the United States, Cal Bradford (James Marsden), his boss and the person he protects, resides. Xavier gets into a playful argument with Agent Billy Pace (Jon Beavers) and then returns home.

Paradise, starring Sterling K. Brown, James Marsden, Julianne Nicholson, and others, is a wild ride of twists and turns amid a world rocked by widespread devastation. Social structures and political institutions have been maintained, as best they could, until a scandal rocks the community.

If you're a big fan of political thrillers, murder mysteries, and epic twists, we have the perfect show for you: Hulu's Paradise starring Sterling K. Brown.
Dan Fogelman, the creator of This Is Us, has the makings of another massive hit after an incredible start to the new Hulu original series, Paradise. This political thriller with some sci-fi elements has an absolutely killer cast, including Brown, James Marsden, Sarah Shahi, Julianne Nicholson, Nicole Bryden Bloom, Percy Daggs IV, Aliyah Maston, Gerald McRaney, Cassidy Freeman, Jon Beavers, and Krys Marshall.
In Paradise, Secret Service agent Xavier Collins (Brown) tries to solve the murder of the President of the United States, but not all is as it seems.
I'm not spoiling anything! I knew almost nothing about this series heading into it, and it was much better that way. There are some pretty big twists that drastically change the direction of the series.

Well, we didn’t see That twist coming in the latest episode of Sterling K. Brown‘s new series Paradise on Hulu!
Paradise is set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high stakes investigation unfolds.
We had a hunch early on that some characters might not survive the whole season as some of them main actors are listed as guest stars, but we didn’t expect to see some of them killed off so early into the season!

There was a shocking murder at the end of episode four and it was more surprising who committed it.

Paradise starring Sterling K. Brown just dropped its first three episodes on Hulu, and this new thriller is already the must-watch show of 2025!

Hulu's Paradise shocked viewers of the first three episodes when its premiere revealed that the entire show actually takes place in a community tucked away under a mountain following the end of the world.

In “Paradise,” Sterling K. Brown stars as Agent Xavier Collins, whose life is turned upside-down when he finds James Marsden’s President Cal Bradford dead during a routine morning. As the murder investigation for Cal kicks off, “Paradise” reveals a dystopian twist that altered the U.S. as the characters knew it.
In addition to Brown and Marsden, “Paradise” stars Julianne Nicholson, Sarah Shahi, Krys Marshall, Jon Beavers and Nicole Brydon Bloom, among others.

This post contains spoilers for the first episode of Paradise, which Hulu released over the weekend.
When This Is Us debuted in the fall of 2016, its pilot episode concluded with a twist that recontextualized everything we had been watching to that point: Instead of telling the parallel, contemporaneous stories of three groups of people who were seemingly only linked by several of them sharing a birthday, all of them were part of the same nuclear family, and one of the stories was set in the past, showing how two of...

Set in the picturesque town of Paradise, Hulu’s Paradise Season 1 unfolds in a community. The tranquility breaks when President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) dies in his home, throwing residents into turmoil. Head of security Xavier Collins (Sterling K. Brown) investigates the case and becomes the prime suspect.
The narrative moves between the murder mystery and scenes revealing characters’ emotional connections and town secrets.
The story uses the calm setting to create tension with unexpected events, showing how calm surfaces can mask deeper tensions and complex social dynamics.

‘Paradise’ Gets Surprise Early Episode 1 Drop Ahead Of Sterling K. Brown Thriller’s Premiere On Hulu
Hulu has made the first episode of its new drama series Paradise available on the platform. The surprise drop comes two days before the thriller, which reunites This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman and star Sterling K. Brown, was supposed to premiere with the first three episodes. Episodes 2 and 3 will still debut on Hulu Jan. 28 as scheduled.
The reviews for Paradise are already out and have been largely positive, which may have encouraged the early release. What’s more, Episode 1 ends with one of the series’ many jaw-dropping twists, so the hope is likely that the cliffhanger would hook viewers in.
The official logline reflects only one side of the genre-mixing drama: “Paradise is set in a serene, wealthy community inhabited by some of the world’s most prominent individuals. But this tranquility explodes when a shocking murder occurs and a high stakes investigation unfolds.”

[Warning: Because this review cannot and will not spoil key twists from Hulu’s new drama, Paradise, I will instead spoil key twists from Apple TV+’s Sugar. Skip the first paragraph if you don’t want Sugar spoiled for you.]
In Sugar, which premiered last April, Colin Farrell plays a movie-loving Los Angeles private investigator who is also — final spoiler warning — an alien. The twist, revealed in the sixth of eight episodes, isn’t a deviation from the established premise or a reversal of expectations — it’s the literal premise of the show, an enticing hook that becomes frustrating because the series spends six episodes teasing and hinting before revealing why you were supposed to be caring about what is otherwise a fairly perfunctory mystery.
I liked Farrell’s just-slightly-off-kilter performance, and the premise of the show, once revealed, was worthy of attention. But I’m looking forward to a second season in which Sugar can just be the show that it is,...

Review: You are not prepared for Paradise. Sure, the trailers make it out to be a somewhat run-of-the-mill political thriller about the murder of the President of the United States and his most trusted protector, who may be involved in a massive conspiracy. Still, it is so much more than that. Built as a serial drama with a fantastic ensemble cast, Paradise draws structurally from series like Lost and Yellowjackets by combining a contemporary timeline with flashbacks that fill in the gaps of how the characters got to where they are today but also manages to upend the conventions of what we expect from a series like this. Having seen the entire series (except for the finale), I have a lot of thoughts about Paradise,...

“Paradise,” Hulu’s latest thriller series, isn’t quite heaven on earth. You may want to tune in for powerhouse performances from the likes of Sterling K. Brown, or to see what emotional devastation “This Is Us” creator Dan Fogelman has up his sleeves this time. But the show suffers from trying to be a bunch of other things oversaturated in our television landscape: A murder mystery, a conspiracy thriller and a high concept sci-fi twist critics have been asked not to spoil.
In the seven of eight episodes provided to critics, we primarily follow Agent Xavier Collins as head of the Secret Service when he stumbles upon the dead body of President Cal Bradford (James Marsden) at his residence in a suspiciously picture-perfect neighborhood. The pilot is propulsive as we flash between Collins’s attempt to gather as much evidence as he can before reporting the incident and their...
