Almost exactly one year after Kevin Smith sold his horror anthology Killroy Was Here as an Nft (with the Ashley Benson slasher Alone at Night following in his footsteps soon after), Variety reports that XYZ Films has picked up the domestic distribution rights to another film that blends horror with crypto. Thankfully, this one isn’t being sold as an Nft, it will be heading out into the world in a more traditional way. The new movie is called The Deep Web: Murdershow and it will take viewers on a dark ride when a journalist’s search for clues to his sister’s murder leads him to a disturbing crypto currency torture website inside the deep web called The Murdershow. As those close to him disappear, he must find and stop this reign of terror.
The idea of torture website kind of reminds me of the Hostel movies. If that franchise were still alive,...

The R-rated superhero adaptation Deadpool is a bona fide box office blockbuster, taking in $285.6 million domestically and $324.1 million internationally for a global total of $609.8 million worldwide. The movie not only gave fans the foul-mouthed Merc With the Mouth they've been waiting for, but also introduced us to a new X-Men mutant, Brianna Hildebrand's Negasonic Teenage Warhead. As it turns out, this character almost looked much differently on the big screen, with concept artist sharing his early concept artwork for this mutant.
Fans have speculated that, based on her costume, Negasonic Teenage Warhead may be appearing in 20th Century Fox's X-Men spinoff The New Mutants, which is currently in development. While that hasn't been confirmed, it's likely that the actress will return to reprise her role in Deadpool 2, which was recently given the green light by the studio. Fans just can't get enough of Deadpool, which has taken in a whopping $235.3 million domestically and $491.8 million at the worldwide box office since its release on February 12. It's possible that the Merc With the Mouth could be the first $1 billion hit of the year, but we still have a ways to go before its theatrical release will come to a close. Over the weekend, stars Ryan Reynolds and T.J. Miller reunited in character as Deadpool and Weasel for a hilarious video entitled "Dear Deadpool." This three-minute video was posted on Ryan Reynolds' Facebook page, and it will surely tide you over until the next time you see this movie in theaters.
The video is set in Deadpool's run-down apartment, with Weasel asking a variety of different questions from the Merc's fans. Unfortunately, he gives completely wrong answers for all of these queries, which starts to frustrate Weasel. If you look closely,...

Deadpool is currently in theaters, enjoying its second weekend of release. And it will likely be number one at the box office yet again. One of the superhero adventure's most popular characters is Colossus, who originally appeared in the X-Men movies. Wired has a new VFX video break down, which shows just how this metal monstrosity was rebooted for the big screen.
Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic is the man credited for playing Colossus. But as it turns out, it took four other actors to fully create this unique Marvel mutant. In the video embedded below, we learn that Greg Lasalle of VFX company Digital Domain was one of the men who helped establish Colossus for this 20th Century Fox outing. He contributed to the facial models for the superhero born Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin. Stefan Kapicic is responsible for providing the character's voice, and did a portion of the physical motion-capture performance.

Last night during CBS' The Late Late Show with James Corden, host James Corden welcomed Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds, just days after his movie shattered box office records with a whopping $135 million opening weekend. Despite the fact that the movie is already out, James Corden decided that the Merc With the Mouth needed a sidekick, with a new sketch that shows some of the host's ridiculous ideas. The five-minute video below ends with a hilarious team-up, although don't expect to see it in Deadpool 2.
Regardless of whether or not the Merc With the Mouth has a sidekick or not, a sequel is coming. Way back in August, a report surfaced that 20th Century Fox was considering dropping a sequel to the much-maligned Fantastic Four in favor of Deadpool 2, but the studio didn't confirm that report. Then just a month later, producer Simon Kinberg teased that talks for the...

Even before it broke box office records with its $132 million opening weekend, 20th Century Fox had green lit a sequel for Deadpool. And those who have seen the end-credit sequence for the R rated superhero adventure now that Cable is going to be introduced in Deadpool 2. Now, fan art maestro BossLogic has imagined what two very different actors might look like as this fan-favorite Mutant.
If you haven't seen Deadpool yet, you may be scratching your head, wondering why there is fan art depicting Pirates of The Caribbean star Keira Knightley as the older, tougher, rough, decidedly male character Cable. No, it has not been confirmed that the Deadpool team is pulling a fast one, gender-swapping yet another iconic Marvel comic book character. In the Ferris Bueller's Day Off-inspired end credit sequence, Ryan Reynolds arrives to promise that Cable will show up in Deadpool 2. But he's yet to be cast.

Earlier today, we reported that 20th Century Fox's Deadpool is a bona fide box office hit, shattering records with an opening weekend take of $135 million, which is more`than double the movie's $58 million budget. While no cast members have been confirmed yet, Avatar star Stephen Lang took to his Twitter page earlier today, to campaign for the iconic role of Cable in the sequel.

Predicting box office estimates is far from an exact science, as many films often come far above or far under expectations all the time. Weeks before 20th Century Fox's Deadpool hit theaters, early projections claimed the superhero adventure would take in between $55 million and $60 million on its opening weekend, and as we got closer to the release date, some predicted it could get as high as $80 million. As it turns out, they were all wrong, with Box Office Mojo reporting this critically-acclaimed R-rated adventure shattered both expectations and records alike, taking in a whopping $135 million, and it's expected to cross $150 million over the four-day President's Day holiday weekend.
Armed with a slew of positive reviews to the tune of an 84% "Fresh" Rotten Tomatoes rating, Deadpool shattered the record for highest grossing R-rated opening weekend of $91.7 million, held for 13 years by The Matrix Reloaded. It also shattered Fifty Shades of Grey's February record of $85.1 million,...

Last week, the first critics screenings were held for 20th Century Fox's Deadpool, which included one post-credit scene. In the past few years, February has gone from a month that rarely features any box office hits, to a viable frame to open big blockbusters. Recent hits like The Lego Movie, Fifty Shades of Grey and Kingsman: The Secret Service have proved that fans will brave the elements and head to the theaters in droves for the right movie, and this year is no different, with three new releases arriving this weekend, all of which are slated to take in more than $20 million, according to the projections at Pro.BoxOffice.com. The big runaway winner, though, is expected to be the superhero adaptation Deadpool, which could come close to making box office history, although Zoolander 2 and How to Be Single are expected to perform well also.

Last week, we reported that 20th Century Fox was planning a number of events for Deadpool during Super Bowl 50 weekend. For those in the San Francisco area during the big game, you may have noticed star Ryan Reynolds running a food truck and handing out the Merc's favorite food, chimichangas on Friday night, and on Saturday night, the studio took over a local bar near the stadium, which will be renamed Sister Margaret's Bar after the watering hole in the movie. For Deadpool fans all over the world, though, the studio debuted a new TV spot during the game which includes plenty of new footage.

Deadpool is set to have the biggest Valentine's Day opening at the box office ever. And because of that, the superhero epic has not been shy about showing off its sexier, more romantic side. Today, the Merc with the Mouth has released two special Valentine's Day themed videos, hoping you'll call him for a date. About finding that perfect someone, he reaches out with these sultry words.
"Hello there ladies, and some gentlemen. People. Let's go with people. With Valentine's Day fast approaching, I thought maybe you and I could, you know, (bleep). But only in (bleep). Sure, I know what you're thinking. He sounds real sexy. But what's under that red suit? Just imagine the body of Ryan Reynolds with the face of Ryan Reynolds' inbred cousin who burnt his face in a bizarre marshmallow roasting accident. But to compensate for that, what else, super penis! Hmm. Call me.

Deadpool is shaping up to be one of 2016's first big box office hits, with a report from last month claiming that the unconventional superhero adventure could earn more than $55 million in its opening weekend. As you've likely noticed from the trailers and all of the other previously-released footage, Deadpool is not your everyday superhero. He curses up a storm and has no problem taking both his friends and enemies down a peg with his sarcastic sense of humor. But, despite his rough-around-the-edges nature, the Merc With the Mouth is still a good guy at heart, and in a new series of videos, Ryan Reynolds dons the maroon suit to help spread awareness for a worthy cause: testicular cancer. As you can imagine, these new Deadpool videos aren't your typical PSA's.

As Wade Wilson explains in the latest Deadpool sneak peek, he never asked to be super, and he's no hero. This TV spot is for the IMAX release of 20th Century Fox's big, bad R rated Marvel adventure. And it delivers a massive man in a red suit ready to wreck havoc for the love of his life. As we've seen in previous previews, this is a Valentine's movie, after all. So you can expect some IMAX sized thrills along with gigantic laughs and a few gut wrenching emotional sequences. And it's all contained in this quick clip, with comes screaming forth like a speeding train ready to take down anything in its path!
This latest 30 second sneak peek doesn't really give us any more new footage, but it's edited slightly to enhance the overall power that will be playing out on the big screen in just a few weeks.

With less than three weeks left until Deadpool hits the big screen, anticipation for this superhero adventure is higher than ever, as we count down the days. To help make this excruciating wait just a bit more bearable, composer Junkie Xl has shared a new track from his soundtrack, entitled "Maximum Effort." While we don't know where exactly this track plays during the movie, it most certainly has a unique sound, but that is to be expected from this composer, who provided the score for last year's Mad Max: Fury Road.
If that wasn't enough, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds took to his Twitter page earlier today to reveal a new photo, which features his title character unmasked, while pointing a gun at an unknown enemy. The photo also came with a unique message from the actor, which includes a reference to David Hoff, formerly known as David Hasselhoff. Here's what he had to say below.

As the countdown continues towards Deadpool's release on February 12, 20th Century Fox, through the movie's official Twitter page, has revealed another TV spot with new footage. Traditionally, the month February doesn't usually play host to many box office blockbusters, but that has changed in recent years. In 2014, The Lego Movie opened with a whopping $69 million, en route to a domestic take of $257.7 million, and last year, Fifty Shades of Grey broke the all-time February opening weekend record with $85.1 million, breaking The Passion of the Christ's 11-year record of $83.8 million. That same weekend, the second place finisher, Kingsman: The Secret Service, even fared quite well, opening with $36 million. The February tradition of new blockbusters is set to continue this year with Deadpool, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing the film is on pace for an opening weekend take of $55 million.

Even if the domestic release is successful, the superhero adventure's international box office prospects were tempered this weekend, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that the movie will not be released in China. Reports coming out of China revealed the country's government has denied Deadpool's release due to graphic language, violence and nudity.
Last week, we reported that the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) has given Deadpool an R rating for "strong violence and language throughout, sexual content and graphic nudity." The move didn't come as a surprise, since star Ryan Reynolds said in the past that he would fight for an R rating. Back in September 2014, a report surfaced that claimed 20th Century Fox figured out how to get a PG-13 rating, without losing the "soul" of Deadpool,...

Deadpool is really getting into the spirit of Football, releasing it's second sports-themed TV spot. This latest one arrived on Saturday during the NFL Playoffs game between New England and Kansas City. It isn't much different from the previous 'Canadian Rules' TV spot. But 20th Century Fox promises this one have 5% new footage! That's a bonus, right? Let us know if you can spot it.
Over the past few months, we've seen Deadpool celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in his own unconventional way. Now that the NFL playoffs are in full swing, the Merc With the Mouth is celebrating the only way he knows how. This video shows Ryan Reynolds' title character seemingly lining up a "field goal," only to kick one of his enemies square in the head. Last week, Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed a chip shot field goal that would have won the game against the Seattle Seahawks.

Over the past few months, we've seen Deadpool celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas in his own unconventional way. Now that the NFL playoffs are in full swing, the Merc With the Mouth is back with a new TV spot, which showcases his own unique take on the game with "Canadian Rules Football.' The video shows Ryan Reynolds' title character seemingly lining up a "field goal," only to kick one of his enemies square in the head. Coincidentally, the video comes just a few days after Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh missed a chip shot field goal that would have won the game against the Seattle Seahawks.
If that wasn't enough, star Ryan Reynolds has also debuted two new photos on his Instagram page, which shows Deadpool's bizarre method of saving a cat from a tree, and Wade Wilson literally sticking his tongue out while gazing at his Deadpool mask.

February hasn't often been considered a month where many box office juggernauts open, but that has changed over the past few years. Recent hits like The Lego Movie ($257.7 million domestic) and Fifty Shades of Grey ($166.1 million domestic) have proven that moviegoers will flock to theaters in this frigid month. This year, Deadpool will become the latest potential winter blockbuster, opening on February 12, just a few days before Valentine's Day. This unconventional superhero adventure has taken a unique turn in its marketing campaign, with a new banner that presents this movie as a romantic comedy.
The banner features the on-screen couple Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) and Vanessa Carlyle (Morena Baccarin) sharing a tender moment, with a new tagline "True love never dies." Of course, anyone who has seen actual footage from Deadpool knows that this R-rated action-packed movie is far from a romantic comedy, but perhaps we could even be getting...

'When your worst enemy is after your best girl, it's time to be a superhero!' A new Deadpool TV spot aired last night during the premiere of The Bachelor, and it blatantly baits fans who are looking for a love story this Valentine's Day, as opposed to a superhero epic featuring young, tone men in tights. Holding a rose tightly in his crotch, Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds) made this plea to all those lovers out there whose boyfriend is making this movie sound even more action-packed than it really is.
"Well, Hello. You're probably thinking, 'My boyfriend said this was a superhero movie.' This is actually, lucky you, a love story."

In a world where superhero movies usually run an epic length of over two and a half hours, Deadpool is offering an interesting change of pace. But will it be too short? A Spanish 20th Century Fox website has revealed the movie's official runtime is 106 minutes (or one hour and 46 minutes). That makes Deadpool one of the shortest Marvel movies released to date. But that may actually work in its favor.
Along with the new runtime, Fox has also released more from this anticipated X-Men spinoff. If the new photos released yesterday didn't give you the proper Merc With the Mouth fix that you needed, then perhaps a new international poster will do the trick. The studio will release this long-awaited movie on February 12, 2016. 20th Century Fox debuted a red band trailer and a green band trailer on Christmas Day. Fans of the Merc With the Mouth got a special gift on Christmas Day, with new red band and green band trailers for the highly-anticipated Deadpool, arriving in theaters February 12. Deadpool just dropped its big second trailer this past week, showing off the footage on Christmas as part of a viral holiday campaign. During this so-called 12 Days of Deadpool, we got a cool poster teasing Wade Wilson's impending Empire Magazine cover. Now, star Ryan Reynolds has arrived with an informercial selling the entirety of this issue to the masses. The star, dressed in his iconic Deadpool costume, had this to say about the issue.
"Are you considering buying this month's Empire? You should. Because your favorite Merc with the Mouth hijacked the entire editorial staff, and made the issue his very own. That's right. Empire's editors are locked in my crawlspace desperately longing for the sweet release of death. That left me time to fill these pages with whatever I f****** wanted. Meaning several do-it-yourself recipes involved cornish game hen, freshly pitted green olives, and locally purchased deli meats.

Last week, Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds kicked off the 12 Days of Deadpool campaign with a poster and a viral video from this highly-anticipated superhero adventure. We know that 20th Century Fox's Deadpool has been confirmed as part of the studio's X-Men franchise, but we still haven't gotten any indication on whether or not the Merc With the Mouth will be included in future X-Men movies. The only connection to that franchise is through the mutant Colossus, who we reported last year will be portrayed by Andre Tricoteux. With just a few months left until the February 12, 2016 release date, Entertainment Weekly reports that a last-minute casting change has taken place, with Serbian actor Stefan Kapicic stepping in to play Colossus. We also have a new TV spot where Colossus speaks for the first time, along with two new photos.
Daniel Cudmore portrayed Colossus, a mutant who has the ability to transform his body into an organic steel, in 2003's X2: X-Men United, 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand and last year's X-Men: Days of Future Past. But...

Over the past few weeks, Deadpool fans have been inundated with goodies through the Merc With the Mouth's 12 Days of Deadpool campaign, which leads up to the second trailer's release on Christmas Day. Miller as Weasel, who offer up a holiday rhyme for the fans. We still don't know exactly what time on Christmas Day this trailer will be released, but the network is airing four different NBA games throughout the day, so stay tuned.

Back on Monday, Ryan Reynolds kicked off the 12 Days of Deadpool campaign with a poster and a viral video from this highly-anticipated superhero adventure. This countdown will lead up to the premiere of the new trailer, airing Christmas Day on Espn, during the network's NBA basketball coverage. Today, Ryan Reynolds took to his Twitter account to continue the 12 Days of Deadpool initiative, revealing the Merc With the Mouth's annual Christmas card.
In true Deadpool fashion, this holiday card breaks down Wade Wilson's year, as he makes fun of Dog the Bounty Hunter and Sean Penn, while admitting that he spent most of September watching Ryan Reynolds movies. The Merc With the Mouth also added that he had three special ops missions in Afghanistan this year, while breaking down his picks for favorite song of the year, favorite snack and favorite news, which involves the beloved TV series Gilmore Girls.

It's the 5th day of The 12 Days of Deadpool! And it's also National Ugly Christmas Sweater Day. So of course we get a poster that puts Wade Wilson in an Ugly Christmas Sweater. This latest gift arrives courtesy of Fandango. And it proudly announces that this is one Marvel superhero who sits in a class of his own. But to be honest, we've seen way uglier Christmas sweaters. Am I right?
The 4th day of Deadpool brought new photos from Empire Magazine which reveal the Merc's Christmas list and tease his big Empire Magazine cover. Before that, we also got a new theatrical style poster and viral video, naughty and nice Christmas photos with Ryan Reynolds, and a hand-drawn version of the Merc With the Mouth's battle plan! This 12 Days of Deadpool countdown is leading up to the release of the second Deadpool trailer, which airs during Espn's NBA basketball games on Christmas Day.

The 12 Days of Deadpool celebration continues, with star Ryan Reynolds unveiling a new treat from his highly-anticipated superhero adventure every day leading up to the big trailer reveal on December 25. But thankfully, he has something even better in store for fans of the Merc With the Mouth. The actor teamed up with Deviant Art to present his "battle plan," inspired by the holiday classic Home Alone.
The artwork reveals the design of a seemingly-ordinary home, although there are a number of different weapons set in place to surprise the Merc's enemies. Some of these traps include a "red-hot spring-loaded nut-punching doorknob," along with massive cannons, kimodo dragons, medical waste and P.R.O.U.S (Pizza Rats of Unusual Size). In just a few short months, 20th Century Fox will release the long-awaited Deadpool, which star Ryan Reynolds had been trying to get off the ground for several years.
