Chuck Norris can be really vicious with his kicks. He is a trained martial artist who has a black belt in Tang Soo Do, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and judo. Norris was invited to play a villain role in The Way of the Dragon by Bruce Lee, and Steve McQueen suggested that he take acting seriously. He has numerous Hollywood projects to his name.
Even during his 50s, Norris continued to practice his martial arts skills passionately. In a video that surfaced on X, he can be seen demonstrating some killer kicks with Benny Urquidez. It appears that he would’ve given Joe Rogan a run for his money with those kicks.

On your left! Before Anthony Mackie leads the latest star-spangled adventure for Marvel Studios, Captain America: Brave New World, we’re looking back at the film that introduced the masses to Sam Wilson and gave Chris Evans’s Steve Rogers his best cinematic experience, Captain America: The Winter Solider. As the ninth film in Marvel’s cinematic universe and a sequel to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, The Winter Solider brings superhero cinema to another level for a political action-thriller unlike anything in the studio’s history before its 2014 release. Which begs the question: What the fuck happened to Captain America: The Winter Soldier?
Work on Captain America: The Winter Soldier began before Marvel released The First Avenger, with writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely penning the screenplay. Multiple directors approached the high-profile sequel, including The Bourne Ultimatum director George Nolfi and F. Gary Gray, known for directing Ice...

Action movie icon Jean-Claude Van Damme returns to one of his best-loved franchises in Kickboxer reboot sequel, Kickboxer: Armageddon, and we now have some idea regarding the release of what's sure to be another martial arts B-movie masterpiece. Kickboxer: Armageddon will find Van Damme joining forces with fellow action heroes Scott Adkins, Alain Moussi, and John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum star and martial arts icon Mark Dacascos, it has now been confirmed, with the action outing having now been picked up for distribution by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment in the U.S. and Canada.
Disappointingly, Kickboxer: Armageddon does not yet have a release date, but now that distribution has been settled, those details will surely be revealed soon. Filmmaker Dimitri Logothetis, who first began breathing new life into the cult classic action franchise with 2016’s Kickboxer: Vengeance, will once again take the helm for Kickboxer: Armageddon, working from a script he co-wrote with Jim McGrath.

In a welcome change of pace, Netflix has renewed one of its newest seasons, with French sports drama The Cage now getting the greenlight for Season 2. The series, which combines Rocky with Warrior and centers on a young Mma fighter who gets a shot at the big time, has proven to be divisive among both critics and audiences alike, but no doubt many will be pleased to see that, this time, the dreaded Netflix ax did not fall.
The news of a Season 2 renewal for The Cage was revealed thanks to the official X/Twitter account for Netflix France, which declared, “The Fight Continues—The Cage Season 2 Confirmed!” Released onto the platform on November 8, the series has seen a surge in popularity, garnering 17.40 million views and taking over the top spot in the charts from the critically acclaimed anime series, Arcane.

The actor who played Taylor Keita in Netflix's The Cage, Melvin Boomer, has a wholesome real-world connection to Mma (mixed martial arts) that made his story even better. The Cage is, largely, not a wholesome show. Taylor's first foray into the world of professional Mma fighting was fraught with setbacks, betrayals, and depressing moments, and the ending of The Cage struck an unusually dark note. Luckily, Melvin Boomer has a much more uplifting real-world story to offset The Cage's often bleak narrative.
The cast of The Cage is filled with up-and-coming young French actors, like Melvin Boomer himself. It's also filled with long-time veterans of French cinema, and The Cage also features several real Mma fighters, like Georges St-Pierre and Jon Jones. All of the actors in The Cage brought something unique to the screen, but Melvin Boomer brought his acting talents and a secret connection to Mma.

Netflix's series The Cage follows an aspiring mixed martial arts (Mma) fighter named Taylor in his training as he hopes to become a professional. After agreeing to fight the well-known professional fighter Ibrahim, against his trainer's warnings, the fight goes viral on social media and Taylor becomes a sensation overnight. Throughout the series, Taylor attempts to work his way up in the fighting world while dealing with outside pressures from his family and friends.
The Cage is a thrilling, action-packed series that showcases the world of professional mixed martial arts fighters, shedding light on the training and lifestyle as much as the fights themselves. Though The Cage has gotten mixed reactions from critics and audiences, the fight sequences consistently hold viewers' attention. The series doesn't shy away from the intense and gritty side of Mma fighting, and to add to its authenticity, The Cage features screen appearances by numerous real Mma fighters.

Netflix's French-language Mma show The Cage has a distinctly varied cast of up-and-coming young actors, renowned actor-directors, and several real-life Mma fighters. The Cage follows Taylor Keita (Melvin Boomer) as he rockets from being an unknown entity to the newest sensation in the French UFC. Along the way, he's both supported and discouraged by people in his professional and personal lives, and The Cage feels very similar to underdog sports movies like Rocky. The Cage is also similar to some of Sylvester Stallone's best action movies in that it focuses just as much on its characters as it does its fight scenes.
Though it boasts some impressive fights and choreography, the main draw of The Cage is its character-driven story. The main thing that makes the show's characters so compelling is their actors, and The Cage is not wanting for talent. It's also not set on a specific type of actor,...

When it comes to the world of sports and performance arts, the word opportunity hangs over your head —individual talent, diligence—everything else gets overshadowed by a lack of chance to prove oneself. Netflix’s latest French sports drama series, The Cage, revolving around an underdog’s dream to make it big in the grueling world of professional Mma, highlights this particular issue through an intriguing, gritty narrative that takes a closer look at the psychological aspects of combat sports. Although the first season with five episodes might feel a bit on a shorter side, and the plot, which ticks all the expected checkboxes you’d expect from a sports drama, sometimes feels disjointed and cameo heavy, a fairly interesting ending will surely keep the viewers talking about the series for quite some time.

Get ready Mma fans because - Bruce Buffer voice - "It's Time!" for the film and TV industry to have another shot at making an Mma-based drama. Since the sport's conception in the 90s, fans have waited for a great movie or show to give Mma the Rocky treatment. The closest Hollywood has come so far is Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton. But, a new series from Netflix titled La Cage (The Cage in English) looks like a strong contender.
Netflix has unveiled the first trailer for La Cage. Starring Melvin Boomer, the series follows an aspiring French Mma fighter with dreams of joining the UFC to rescue his family from poverty. To earn his shot, Taylor must defeat one of France's strongest prospects, Ibrahim (Bosh). Setting an Mma drama in France is an inspired choice, as the sport was only legalized there in 2020, meaning much of the country's talent has gone unrecognized.

A ruthless puppet master lures a grieving hit man into a deadly competition of assassins. King of Killers, adapted by Kevin Grevioux from his Darkstorm Comics graphic novel, is a swift and bloody actioner that goes in a surprisingly unexpected direction. Arteries spurt as limbs are sliced off like ham at the deli counter. Brutal beatdowns and stylized gunplay are followed with frenzied stabbing that would make Ghostface jealous. The film is a check your brain at the door adrenaline rush of violence. Frank Grillo, a Hollywood stalwart and one of my favorite actors, steals the show with a deliciously exaggerated performance.
Marcus Garan (Alain Moussi) strains as his mangled face is about to be driven through a wall spike. The film then cuts to a wintry scene a year earlier. A disguised Marcus casually walks into a bar. He observes a shady group of men heading towards the bathroom.

Marcus Goran was one of the best killers in the business until his boss Robert Xane calls needing him to do a job on his anniversary. We see him trying to pull the job off intercut with his wife getting ready to go out later thinking he’s working late at the office. Then she gets a text, allegedly from him telling her to meet her at the club where he’s stalking his target.
By the end of the night his target is dead, and so is his wife. Now he’s retired and a single...

San Francisco, June 28 (Ians) After Meta Founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Twitter-owner Elon Musk has also undergone training in jiu jitsu for their anticipated showdown.
Lex Fridman, host of the famous Lex Fridman Podcast, posted a video of him training with Musk.
“I did an impromptu training session with @elonmusk for a few hours yesterday. I’m extremely impressed with his strength, power, and skill, on the feet and on the ground,” Fridman said.
“It’s really inspiring to see Elon and Mark doing martial arts, but I think the world is served far better if they train martial arts but not fight in the cage. That said, as Elon says, the most entertaining outcome is the most likely.”
“That was fun!” the Twitter-owner replied.
On Sunday, Fridman had posted a video of him training with Zuckerberg and expressed his interest in training with Musk.

Twenty-five years on from Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels the British gangster revival is still going strong. Case in point Hitmen, the new film from writer/director Savvas D. Michael who has already made several contributions to the genre including The Bezonians, Smoking Guns and Original Gangster.
Luke and Lauren are having marital issues. But that doesn’t mean she’s thrilled when Jackie starts hitting on her and when she mocks him, hitting her. This leads to a beating which in turn leads to Jackie’s death.
That would be bad enough, but Jackie’s grandfather Michael is a wealthy CEO with some rather shady connections. When they’re acquitted by reason of self-defense he puts a million-dollar contract on the couple.

One of the most impressive signs of the MCU’s might occurred early in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As Cap and Black Widow make their way through a ship held captive by pirates, they’re stopped by the ring leader: Batroc the Leaper. To comic book fans, Batroc was one of the goofier characters in Cap’s rogues gallery, a Frenchman straight out of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, endowed with the power of jumping really well. But in The Winter Soldier, Batroc was played by UFC fighter Georges St-Pierre, who proceeded to have a really cool action sequence with Cap.
“If that’s what the MCU can do with Batroc, imagine what they’ll do with Crossbones?” we all thought. Introduced in Captain America #359 as the Red Skull’s enforcer during writer Mark Gruenwald’s legendary run, Crossbones quickly established himself as a formidable counter to Cap,...

Fortunetelling is a great trick, but it only works if you know how to cold read -- absorbing everything in front of you and dropping some meaty guesses about what's on others' minds. Figuring out what's next for one of the biggest media franchises in the world is similar. Only President of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige (and those under NDAs) know what's next for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, we can take the hints they're leaving and deliver some fun ideas about what's coming next.
We're about to present twelve educated guesses about the next era of the MCU. Based on what the franchise has already shown us, hints from events like 2022's San Diego Comic-Con, well-sourced filming rumors, and (a lot of) speculation drawn from Marvel's extensive comic book history, we predict what's next for Marvel Studios. We're barely scratching the surface of possible storylines with Kang the Conquerer's rise to power,...

Marvel is going big on the Emmy ballot. Their Disney+ drama series “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” has a whopping 40 submissions from Best Drama Series to Best Drama Writing to Best Stunt Coordination — 41 if you count “Marvel Studios Assembled: The Making of ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier'” for Best Documentary/Nonfiction Special. Hot off of the success of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+, series director Kari Skogland says she'd be up to direct the upcoming movie sequel Captain America 4 for Marvel Studios. Developed for Disney+ by head writer and showrunner Malcolm Spellman, all six episodes of Falcon were directed by Skogland. The ending of the series sets up a perfect starting point for Captain America 4 with Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson now wielding the shield.
Recently, it was announced that Spellman would next co-write Captain America 4 with Dalan Musson. Because it's probable that the sequel will pick up where The Falcon and the Winter Soldier left off, it seems natural that Kari Skogland could also come on board alongside Spellman to direct. As of now, no director has yet been attached to the project, but in a new interview with CinemaBlend, Skogland was asked if she would take the job if asked.

Kevin Feige said earlier this year that Marvel was developing some of its Disney+ shows to run for multiple seasons, and although the news earlier this week that Marvel was submitting “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” in drama at the Emmys already hinted at additional seasons for the Sam (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky (Sebastian Stan) comedy hour, the finale more or less confirmed it. In “One World, One People,” the writers revealed the identity of the dangerous Power Broker, but also set the stage for the duo’s next adventure, with John Walker (Wyatt Russell) taking up his comic book alter ego of U.S. Agent. But that’s only scratching the surface of what went down this week.
The episode opens where the previous hour left off, with Karli (Erin Kellyman) and the rest of the Flag-Smashers attacking the Grc summit. They intend to take everyone hostage in...

Georges St-Pierre’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” was more successful than his first go-round with an Avenger, when he couldn’t last five minutes against Steve Rogers in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier.”
This time, St-Pierre’s Georges Batroc was even able to get the upper hand on one of Marvel’s heroes, when he executed a pretty nifty take down of Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson in that nearly 10-minute aerial combat scene from last Friday’s premiere.
Batroc, a mercenary who is now working with the criminal organization Laf, was ultimately unsuccessful in his plan of kidnapping an Army officer. But he was able to evade capture (by leaping out of a plane in a pretty sweet winged flight suit of his own) and lives to fight another day. “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” is off to an action-packed start, and already bringing in some familiar faces. Obviously, there’s one in particular that we need to touch on immediately.
We knew that “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier” would tie into “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” considering, well, “The Winter Soldier” is half of the series’ name. But in the opening minutes of the series premiere, we see that Bucky Barnes isn’t the only character from Cap’s sequel that’s returned.
If you found yourself thinking “That guy who hijacked the helicopter looks Really familiar,” it’s because yes, we’ve met him before. His name is Georges Batroc (played by Georges St-Pierre), and he was the mercenary/pirate that Captain America fought on the Lemurian Star.

Most of the Marvel superheroes in the MCU have multiple actors audition and even screentest for their respective roles before a final decision was made, but the role of Sam Wilson was offered to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier star Anthony Mackie from the get-go with no audition necessary. While this is a very rare occurrence when it comes to casting major roles at Marvel Studios, an exception was made for Mackie as everyone was in complete agreement from the start that he was the perfect Falcon.
Speaking about The Falon and the Winter Soldier in a new interview with Variety, Marvel chief creative officer Kevin Feige explained how Anthony Mackie got involved with the MCU, which comes down to knowing from the start that he was their guy and simply offering the role to him without an audition. In a new update in regard to the upcoming Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Disney has confirmed that actress Adepero Oduye has been cast in the series as Sarah Wilson, sister of Sam Wilson aka Falcon, a character portrayed in the series by Anthony Mackie. Adepero Oduye is known for her film appearances in 12 Years A Slave (2013), Widows (2018), and Pariah (2011). For Pariah she was nominated for Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead. She was also seen in Ava DuVernay's biographical crime-drama When They See Us (2019).

We are officially one month away from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. After going a full year without any new movies in the MCU, the new series WandaVision launched Phase Four when it premiered on Disney+ in January. Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany as Wanda Maximoff and Vision, the series was an instant hit with fans and has since become the world's most in-demand TV show.
Now seven episodes in, there are just two episodes left of WandaVision. This is certainly a bummer for many fans who've grown accustomed to getting new content from Marvel Studios every week. As sad as it might be that WandaVision is nearing its finale, the good news is that fans won't have to wait for long to see the MCU continue to move forward. The final episode of the series will drop on March 5 and Falcon and the Winter Soldier will debut...

Contestants hail from 11 countries and were named as: Lara Pearl Alvarez (Philippines); Alvin Ang (Singapore); Irina Chadsey (Russia); Eugene Chung (U.S.); Teirra Kamolvattanavith (Thailand); Joy Koh (Singapore); Monica Millington (U.S.); Paulina Purnomowati (Indonesia); Jessica Ramella (Venezuela); Niraj Puran Rao (India); Nazee Sajedi (U.S.); Louie Sangalang (Philippines); Sho Takei (Japan); Clinton Tudor (New Zealand); Roman Wilson (U.S.); and Kexin Ye (Germany).

Bucky Barnes will always have an attachment to Captain America, no matter who holds the title. In the new trailer for “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier,” released by Marvel Studios at the Disney Investor Day, Sebastian Stan’s character works alongside the newest Captain America: The Falcon.
Played by Anthony Mackie, the Falcon received the honorary title from the original Captain America during the resolution of Marvel’s “Avengers: Endgame,” though he continues to operate under his bird-based persona.
The upcoming series, originally set to release in August of this year, was delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but is now expected to premiere on March 19, 2021. Mackie and Stan star, reprising their roles from the Marvel Cinematic Universe to unfold the journey taken by the Falcon upon receiving the Captain America shield from his now-retired friend.

'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' is one of the highly anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff shows that fans have been eagerly awaiting for.
The Disney+ series was originally set to debut in August, but the show's production has experienced several delays over the last couple of months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
But things seem to be running smoothly now, as 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' have returned to filming in the Czech Republic and photographers have been busy leaking set photos onto the internet.
The show reportedly follows the events after 'Avengers: Endgame' as Captain America passes on his shield and mantle.
A new behind-the-scenes photo from the series focusing on Sam 'The Falcon' Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky 'The Winter Soldier' Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is making the rounds all over social media.
