Kimberly Stuckwisch
Kimberly Stuckwisch is an award-winning film and theatre writer/director whose work blends magical realism with everyday life. She's built a career as a vocal supporter of bold ideas, often bringing awareness to timely social issues. Her work has showcased at Cannes, Sundance, TIFF, Camerimage, SXSW, Ciclope, The Clios, the MTV VMAs, the UKMVs, and in theaters across the world.

Kimberly skipped film school and dove right into production where she began her career as a feature film First Assistant Director. By the age of 26, Kimberly had assistant-directed over a dozen indie films - her "film school" - and second unit-directed numerous features including "Remarkable Power" with Evan Peters, Tom Arnold, and Kevin Nealon, "Play the Game" with Andy Griffith, Doris Roberts, and Liz Sheridan, and "The Deadline" with Brittany Murphy and Thora Birch.

Kimberly exploded onto the directorial scene in 2020 with a streak of accolades including a shots Awards shortlist for "New Director of the Year," "Best New Director" at the MVPAs, and SXSW's Prism International "Directors to Watch" selection. Her debut in music video earned her a UKMVA award for "Best Rock Video - Newcomer" for Jeremy Ivey's "Someone Else's Problem," also in competition at SXSW. Her video for Broken Bells' "Good Luck" was nominated for "Best Music Video" at Camerimage and shots, and won two Bronze Clios for "Best Music Video," "Best Direction" and the New Generation Award at Berlin Commercial Awards. Her video for Samm Henshaw's "The World is Mine" won Gold at the Kinsale Shark Awards and a nomination at the MVPAs. For Pearl Derringer, Kimberly directed "Little Baby," ft. Margo Price, which won "Best Music Video" at the LA Independent Film Festival and LA Femme International, was shortlisted at the 1.4 Awards, and competed at SXSW.

Kimberly directed Olivia Rodrigo's Sour Prom, a 27-minute music film that shot to #1 on YouTube and VEVO, trending globally and gaining 11 million views in two weeks. The film, a cinematic, coming of age journey, was nominated for "Best Special Video Project" at the UKMVAs and was shortlisted for a Young Director's Award. For Angel Olsen, Kimberly's directed Big Time, a 28-minute album film that was a semi-finalist at Cannes Indie Shorts Awards.

In commercials, Kimberly directed the K-pop inspired "Whole Bag Kind of Night," for SkinnyPop and 360i, earning her a spot in SHOOT!'s New Directors Showcase. Her campaign for Bose, "Turn the Dial," featuring H.E.R., PinkPantheress, BLOND:ISH, and WondaGurl, promoted the company's initiative to close the gender gap in music production. In collaboration with Jeremy Scott, Kimberly directed multiple campaigns for Moschino including the campy fashion film Jungle Red, with an all-star cast including Winnie Harlow and Ditta Von Teese, and Lightening Strikes, an elaborate theatrical musical starring Karen Elson. Most recently, she directed the provocative and playful re-brand campaign for Drybar, "Feeling PolyGlamorous?" for Razorfish.

Kimberly is in pre-production on her second feature The Perfect Girl with Artina Films. Her first film, Canvas, premiered at Cinequest 2020.

In 2016, Kimberly produced the "Hamilton Mixtape- Immigrants We Get the Job Done" music video with Lin-Manuel Miranda and Robert Rodriguez executive producing, which went on to win an MTV VMA for "Best Music Video with a Message" and a Bronze Clio. In 2017, she partnered with EndHIV to create a music video for Sia's "Free Me" starring Zoe Saldana and Julianne Moore, where all proceeds from the single were donated to the #endHIV campaign. In 2018, Kimberly produced "K-12", an album movie shot in Budapest with Melanie Martinez directing which garnered 28 million views on YouTube in less than a month. She premiered her first narrative feature "Summertime", directed by Carlos López Estrada, on opening night Sundance 2020 in the NEXT category. The movie, a poetic love letter to Los Angeles, was written and performed by 27 diverse Los Angeles youth. She produced Mikaela Shwer's "The Kids Are Not Alright", an investigative documentary that explores the vast scope of the Troubled Teen Industry, a sprawling, for-profit network of cult-like reform programs for "wayward teens" currently operating in the United States.

As if that wasn't enough...Kimberly is president and founder of Elysian Theater, an experimental and acclaimed venue for cutting-edge comedy. Oh yeah, and she's also a clown. Duh.
