This August, Black Cat is officially in her superhero era. Following Spider-Man's defeat at the hands of the new supervillain Hellgate in upcoming issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Felicia Hardy steps up to the plate as the friendly neighborhood Black Cat in an all-new ongoing series by superstar writer G. Willow Wilson (Ms. Marvel) and rising star artist Gleb Melnikov (Amazing Spider-Man).

This exciting new chapter for the character sees Black Cat test her luck as a superhero, battling some of Spider-Man's fiercest villains between her usual high-stakes heists. Today, you can check out all the covers for the debut issue.

The '90s were a crazy time for comic books, especially when independent companies like Image Comics rose in popularity. Gen13 and the art of J. Scott Campbell are prime examples of this. So, it shouldn't come to anyone's surprise that one of the creators of Gen13 also created one of the most iconic superhero outfits in all comic book lore. One that is still debated and cosplayed to this day, I am talking about Jim Lee and Rogue’s Savage Land outfit, first appearing in Uncanny X-Men #269.

Now, comic book readers will travel back with Rogue: The Savage Land, as writer Tim Seeley and up-and-coming artist Zulema Scotto Lavina expand on the story first introduced in 1990.

Batman: Hush is one of the most successful DC Comics of all time, and next year will see the dynamite creative team of Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee return for the sequel Hush 2, which is being stylized as H2sh. DC has released the first look at the artwork for the upcoming story, as fans get to see what one of the most anticipated releases of next year will look like.

Releasing on March 25th, 2025, DC's details about what the story will be about are slim. What fans do know is that Hush 2 will begin in Batman #158 and will reunite the classic Hush team of Loeb, Lee, Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair, and Richard Starkings.

To celebrate the occasion, DC is pulling out all the stops, with Batman #158 receiving variant covers from the likes of Gabrielle Dell’Otto, J. Scott Campbell, Dan Mora, Sean Murphy and more.

Illyana Rasputina is finally going solo in Marvel Comics' long-awaited Magik ongoing series next January. Written by rising star Ashley Allen (X-Men: Blood Hunt - Magik) and illustrated by acclaimed artist Germán Peralta (Black Panther), Magik will pit the fan-favourite New Mutant against mystical threats targeting the mutant community.

Today, we can share interior artwork from the series and several variant covers. Both feature The Demon Crow, a mysterious new villain designed by Ultimate X-Men artist Peach Momoko.

With Halloween putting Marvel fans of all ages into Black Panther costumes around the world, one writer has explained that was actually a major reason for his creation of Shuri, sister of King T'Challa, and the female Black Panther of Marvel's Universe.

Co-creator of Shuri, Reginald Hudlin, shared insight into the Character's purpose, after seeing a reference to the character on Abbott Elementary. Witchblade, the popular comic series that initially ran from 1995 to 2015 and launched a TV series, is getting resurrected in a new comic series from Top Cow and Image Comics. It’s set to unleash heavy metal, black magic and blood this summer.

The Star Wars franchise has a long history in comics, but one rejected proposal from Jim Lee’s Wildstorm imprint might have changed comics history forever.

Ever since the release of Star Wars in 1977, George Lucas’ space saga has had a strong foothold in the comics world. Marvel Comics published a monthly series that ran for 107 issues. Marvel let the rights lapse in the late 1980s, allowing Dark Horse Comics to acquire the Star Wars license and produce a steady stream of comics for more than 20 years. After Disney purchased Lucasfilm in 2012, fans suspected it was only a matter of time until sister company Marvel got the license to make Star Wars comics once more, something that eventually came to pass in 2015.

Marvel Comics made a major error in its latest cover for Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, as it features the wrong title for the recently released issue. It's not long now until Spawn makes his dramatic return to the DC Universe for another high-stakes confrontation with Batman. But before then, the hero is dropping in for an amazing series of variant covers with some iconic DC characters.

The dark vigilante Spawn in no stranger to adventures with Batman, having previously crossed over with the hero in Spawn/Batman and Batman/Spawn: War Devil. It's been some time since the two heroes have encountered one another, but the two are set to reunite in the upcoming Batman/Spawn crossover. The Court of Owls is attempting to get rid of Batman once and for all, and hire Spawn to eliminate their longtime adversary. What will happen once the two heroes come into conflict with one another remains to be seen. But DC has been hyping up the crossover with trailers and a slew of variant covers for the one-shot crossover.

Batman/Spawn #1 is the most exciting crossover of the year, coming from writer Todd McFarlane and artist Greg Capullo. The 48 page crossover will bring together DC Comics' Dark Knight and Image Comics' Hellspawn for the first time in years. The issue will also reunite McFarlane and Capullo, whose creative talents distinguished Spawn early on, making him arguably the most successful comic character of all time outside of DC and Marvel.

We spoke with Todd McFarlane and Greg Capullo about their collaboration, what distinguishes Batman from Spawn, and what fans can expect from the upcoming crossover, which releases on December 14th, 2022. The story will feature Batman and Spawn teaming up to defeat a Dark Knight villain, the Court of Owls. Additionally, the crossover will feature variant covers by Capullo, McFarlane, Jorge Jiménez, Sean Gordon Murphy, Jason Fabok, Jim Lee, Gabriele Dell'Otto, Francesco Mattina, J. Scott Campbell, and Brett Booth.
