On set of his first film, Barrett was struck in the head by a camera jib which caused a large gash on the top of his head which required 11 staples to close at the hospital. He then returned to set and finished his scenes.

Barrett gained 15 lbs of muscle and bulk for his role in the film 'I Choose Chaos' and then went directly into preparation mode for his role in 'Neverlost', for which he lost 50 lbs and shot 2 months afterwards. His diet consisted mainly of a diuretic cabbage soup, tuna and water for that 2 month period.

Barrett split his head open while shooting a scene in 'Neverlost' in which he crawls out of bed for the first time and collapses to the floor. The gash was treated, make-up applied to hide it, and then Barrett completed the scene.
