It’s been well over a decade since Hannah Montana wrapped up, but for fans, it feels like yesterday when Miley Stewart was juggling a double life as an ordinary teen by day and a global pop star by night.
The Disney Channel hit aired from March 2006 to January 2011 and ran for four seasons and 98 episodes. More than just a fun, music-filled sitcom, it became the show that defined a generation. Centered around a teenager living a secret double life as an ordinary schoolgirl by day and a pop star by night, the series struck a chord with millions.
It also launched the careers of a pretty unforgettable cast, including Miley Cyrus, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Jason Earles, and Moises Arias. It even brought Billy Ray Cyrus back into the spotlight.

These figures are based on the main characters in this Prime Video series, which was not only highly praised by fans and critics alike, but it also received numerous accolades and was greenlit for a second season.
Fallout Season 1's Funko figures feature likenesses of Lucy MacLean, Maximus, the Ghoul with CX404, and Vault Boy. This collection also includes two chase figures, one for Vault Boy and another for Cooper Howard, who was once an ambassador for Vault-Tec before the war. Reed Hastings, co-founder, chairman and former CEO of Netflix, has signed on as an executive producer of Costa Rica-set crime thriller “52nd State” — his first official credit as a producer on a film or TV show.
However, “52nd State” is not a Netflix production. The indie film is co-written and directed by Todd Yellin, a former longtime Netflix exec who served as VP of product before he exited in 2022 to pursue a career as a filmmaker.
According to the production’s reps, Hastings’ decision to join the project was “deeply personal” and driven by his attraction to the film’s “bold, high-stakes storytelling” and his long relationship with Yellin. Hastings, after 25 years at the helm of Netflix, in January 2023 stepped down as CEO of the company and now serves as chairman.

Miley Cyrus had to leave “Hannah Montana” behind after exiting the Disney Channel.
In a recent conversation on Spotify’s “The Ringer” podcast, Cyrus said she “wasn’t allowed” to sing any of the original songs from her hit TV series “Hannah Montana” after the show ended in 2011.
“After I left Disney, I wasn’t allowed to perform any of the ‘Hannah Montana’ music,” she explained. “It’s not like I wanted to, I mean, performing ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’ between ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball,’ wouldn’t have really made sense.”
“It was still sad knowing those songs have my voice, my face, and I wasn’t allowed to sing them,” she added.
However, after Cyrus was named a Disney Legend at D23 2024, she was “given permission to perform those songs in the future,” which Cyrus said was “pretty cool.”

When it comes to adapting a story from one medium to another, few translations have suffered as greatly as those made from video games. There are some truly terrible video game movie and television adaptations, so fans were nervous when it was announced that there would be a "Fallout" streaming series created by Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, with the first three episodes directed by "Westworld" co-creator Jonathan Nolan. Thankfully, the people behind the show seem to fully comprehend what makes the "Fallout" series of games so great, from the absolutely brutal and outrageous violence to its pitch-black but cheeky sense of humor.

Season 2 of the smash-hit video game adaptation Fallout is still a ways away, but Prime Video's ready to set the world on fire today. During its upfront presentation, Amazon announced that the series, based on the post-apocalyptic RPGs created by Interplay Entertainment and Bethesda, has already been renewed for a third season. The news isn't particularly shocking, given that the show is one of the platform's top three most-watched titles and Season 1 has been seen by over 100 million viewers, but it's definitely earlier than expected to arrange another stint in the wasteland. It's just one of two atomic bomb announcements to come from the world of Fallout, as Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten also appeared during the upfront to announce a much earlier-than-expected December 2025 premiere for Season 2.

Amazon's annual upfront presentation is underway tonight, and with it comes a few atomic bombshells for fans of Fallout. Filming just finished last week on Season 2, which seemed to line up the series for a return sometime next year, depending on post-production. However, the stars of Prime Video's record-breaking video game adaptation — Ella Purnell, Walton Goggins, and Aaron Moten — all took the stage at the event to announce that they'll be returning to the wasteland well before then. Though an exact date has yet to be settled, the series will be back on the small screen this December.
The exact story for Season 2 isn't known yet, but it will take the main trio of wasteland survivors to the Mojave Desert after that climactic finale at the Griffith Observatory. Season 1 largely followed Lucy (Purnell) as she left Vault 33 in search of her kidnapped dad, only to get wrapped up in a...

We're officially one step closer to returning to the wasteland and visiting New Vegas. Ella Purnell announced on Instagram that Season 2 of the smash-hit Fallout has wrapped filming, sharing a photo of her with her on-screen dad, Kyle MacLachlan. The update marks the end of a months-long production beginning in November and starts the countdown before the new episodes drop on Prime Video. Assuming a similar post-production schedule to the first run, Lucy and Hank MacLean could be back on our screens in a bit over a year, landing the premiere sometime within the spring or summer of 2026.
Season 2 of Fallout will heavily revolve around both Lucy and Hank after the final confrontation at the Griffith Observatory in Season 1. The finale finally brought the show's three leads — the aforementioned vault dweller, the Brotherhood of Steel member Maximus (Aaron Moten), and The Ghoul, formerly known as Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) — together...

He recently gave out some exciting details about the upcoming season, which "really starts cooking."

Somehow, it took Rocky and Rambo star Sylvester Stallone a long time to play a full-on superhero (his roles in Judge Dredd and Guardians of the Galaxy don’t count). But, when he finally did don a costume and possess superpowers, it resulted in the deeply divisive Samaritan, which is now all set to stream free.
Released back in 2022, Samaritan begins when thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary suspects that his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith is actually a superhero legend hiding in plain sight. Fallout increased Ella Purnell's following among gamers outside of the League of Legends fan base. The actor says playing Lucy comes with unique challenges, especially after the character lost one of her fingers.
Ella Purnell fears she would be typecast into playing characters with dead fingers. During a MegaCon Q&a panel, she admitted that's one thing she hates about her Fallout character. "That would actually be one of the worst things to happen to me," she said (per Screen Rant). "You know how annoying it is to have that finger painted on me every single day? This finger is the bane of my life. It's the worst thing." Purnell was referring to Lucy MacLean's "new" trigger finger, which was picked out of a litter of "spares" from a drawer. The Ghoul cut Lucy's finger in Season 1 after she bit his off in Episode 4.

Exclusive: The Weeknd is depicted as a curious toddler by filmmaker Eddie Alcazar in the new stop-motion short film Red Terror, an accompaniment to the song of the same name off his latest album release Hurry Up Tomorrow. The video can be viewed below.
Alcazar created the nightmarish fantasy film concept following a conversation with the multi-Grammy Award-winning singer and actor who requested that “a boy in a haunted forest” be the story’s focal point. From idea to concept to final product took Alcazar about three to four months to complete.

By blending live action, stop motion, and VFX, we’ve crafted something truly unique—an experience that pushes boundaries while staying rooted in raw emotion,” Alcazar told Deadline on Saturday following the project’s drop.

Fallout is already regarded as one of the best live-action video game adaptations of all time, and for good reason. Featuring stellar acting and polished visuals, it did not take long for Prime Video to renew Fallout for a second season. Although news about Season 2 has remained behind closed doors, a new casting addition may have just leaked online. One of the more underrated MCU stars from the past few years is joining another adaptation of an iconic franchise in Fallout Season 2.
According to industry reporter Jeff Sneider, Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani is set to join the second season of Fallout. Known for also starring in The Big Sick, Stuber, and the award-winning HBO comedy Silicone Valley, Nanjiani should prove to be another fascinating addition to the genre-bending post-apocalyptic series. It's easy to see how he would fit in with the hilariously dark and twisted show, especially thanks to his comedic talents.

FilmLA, who issues permits for shoots in Los Angeles, released a statement about the fires. "With deepest appreciation for the efforts of local firefighters, police and paramedics at this difficult time, we advise the production community that personnel resources ordinarily available to support film production may not be available during the local State of Emergency." As a result, many shows, including Amazon's second season of Fallout, are now stopping their filming schedules. Fallout is tentatively rescheduled for Friday.

Fallout season 2 gets a new production update, confirming that filming has been delayed due to the California wildfires. Based on the beloved video game franchise of the same name, the Prime Video series premiered last year, becoming a major viewership hit.
Deadline now shares a new update regarding Fallout season 2, revealing that the show was set to resume filming this week on Wednesday after a holiday break. Due to the devastating wildfires that are currently raging throughout parts of Southern California, however, this filming date has tentatively been pushed back to Friday. It sounds like there's the possibility that it will be pushed back further depending on the status of the fires.

The filming schedule has been shifted on Prime Video’s hit post-apocalyptic drama series Fallout due to the powerful Southern California windstorm and the wildfires it has triggered. Season 2 has been slated to resume production after a holiday break tomorrow, Wednesday, I hear. Instead, the restart of production has been tentatively rescheduled for Friday as a precaution.
Fallout, from Amazon MGM Studios and Kilter Films, films in Santa Clarita; the breakout series relocated from New York to California for its second season after receiving a $25M tax credit.
Santa Clarita is known for being among the windiest parts of the Los Angeles area. A quarter-acre brush fire broke just north of the city Tuesday afternoon as Southern California continues to be battered by strong winds.
There are a number of other TV series filming in Santa Clarita, including NCIS. As far as we know, no ongoing production has been impacted...

Justin Baldoni returned to the directorial chair in 2024 with It Ends With Us, which was a smash hit. However, the actor and director had made his directorial debut a few years earlier with 2019's Five Feet Apart.
Justin Baldoni started his career in the film industry as an actor and his most defining role was the one of Rafael Solano in the CW satirical series Jane the Virgin. Following the end of the series, Baldoni made a career shift and focused more on work behind the camera. His directorial debut came in 2019 with CBS Films' Five Feet Apart, which is now streaming for free on Tubi amid the drama with It Ends With Us.

The science fiction genre had a banner year in 2024 and it’s time to look back on the best of the best.
This year brought us a handful of new “Star Wars” shows that took the canon to new eras, a devastating finale to Netflix’s beloved animated series “Arcane” and reintroduced fans to the classic X-Men in “X-Men ’97.” It was an embarrassment of riches for fans of the genre.
These are the nine best sci-fi TV shows that made their mark on the year.

There have been plenty of good-to-great reboots of beloved series in the past few years. But there’s something about “X-Men ’97,” perhaps owing to its animated origins, that feels as though these new episodes are picking up right where the beloved 1990s show left off. And that’s no easy feat. While the animation has definitely improved,...

'Our Not-So-Secret Weapon': Fallout EP Shares 1 Key Decision That Led to Prime Video Series' Success
Fallout, an adaption of a game series of the same name, has been running high lately - especially after the show's win at the Game Awards as the Best Adaption of 2024. The series is set in an alternate post-apocalyptic future and stars Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Walton Goggins. Jonathan Nolan also serves as an executive producer and director for the series.
Nolan, known for his work on HBO’s Westworld and co-authoring two of The Dark Knight Trilogy films with his brother, is surely as excited about this massive victory as the rest of the talented cast and crew. Admittedly, the director’s fantastic vision gave it a clear edge over other contenders - which the director has recently spoken about.

Walton Goggins has had many memorable roles, but he's especially recognized from Fallout.

Three of the main stars of Fallout had no idea where the video game-turned-television show adaptation was headed in its season finale. Some of them, it seems, even insisted on that being the case — which is wild when you consider just how much happens in the series' epic season one finale.
During a Variety panel for the series moderated by Kara Warner, series stars Walton Goggins, Yellowjackets star Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten and Moisés Arias all spoke about the blockbuster season finale, and how it felt to enter the post-apocalyptic world with so little information on where it might be going.
"We got two episodes. Two episodes were written before we started, just episode one and two, to understand the tone," explained Goggins. "And then [the scripts] would dribble out, if I remember correctly. We didn't get eight until..."
"Two days before?" Purnell offered half-jokingly. "It wasn't really two days, but it felt like two days.
