Move over, Ted Lasso, Apple TV+ has just announced a brand-new series that features soccer as part of its storyline. Per Apple TV+ and Deadline, a new show starring Tatiana Maslanyand Jake Johnson,called Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed.

Beloved Fox sitcom New Girl is getting a belated spoof from one of its network brethren, and two of the show's stars are along for the ride. Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield will lend their voices to this week's episode of The Simpsons. "Estranger Things," the thirty-sixth season finale of the undying animated series, will air this Sunday night on Fox and stream on Hulu the next day. Entertainment Weekly has a first look at Deschanel and Greenfield's appearances on the series.

In the clip, Lisa (Yeardley Smith) is watching the sitcom Quirk Girl on her tablet; she describes it as being "from the golden age of television: 2013." A thinly-veiled parody of New Girl, it stars a Deschanel lookalike who, Lisa gushes, "made it okay for cute girls to be pretty." Greenfield voices her roommate, the slick ladies' man Schultz, who's just borrowed a dog to help him pick up women.

The synopsis reads, "Spider-Noir is a live-action series based on the Marvel comic Spider-Man Noir. Spider-Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero."

As per the official press release, the series will be available to watch in black and white and in color. It will debut domestically on MGM+, then launch globally on Prime Video the following day in over 240 countries and territories.

The first official look at Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir has been unveiled. In his first starring role in a TV series, Cage is the lead of Spider-Noir, and the first look at him in character teases the tone of the show.

As fans may know, Cage is set to portray a live-action version of Spider-Man Noir after previously voicing the role in the animated Spider-Verse franchise. In the new official image released by Amazon MGM Studios, Cage's Spider-Man Noir strikes a classic Spidey pose that fans of the web-slinger will appreciate. The upcoming live-action Spider-Noir series starring Academy Award winner and Hollywood icon Nicolas Cage has finally been given a release window. I’m really looking forward to Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir, and one actor on the series has teased that it could double down on the film noir aspect. While speaking with ComingSoon.net, Lukas Haas said Spider-Noir could be released in black-and-white. I’d be into that.

“We filmed it in — I think it may come out in both black and white and color, but when we filmed it, the monitors were all black and white, so you got this feeling and it looked very, very authentic,” Haas said. “To the point that I would actually go and look at the monitor and think I was looking at some older footage, but it was actually just a monitor of what was on the camera at the time. They did a beautiful job with the filters and all that stuff, making it look like genuine old 1930s, black and white film.

Amazon's upcoming Spider-Noir series has received a surprising update from actor Lukas Haas, who has suggested that viewers may find two different viewing experiences available to them when the series finally arrives on Prime Video. Living up to its name, Haas has suggested that, as well as being able to watch the unconventional superhero show starring Nicolas Cage in color, there is a chance that a “noir” black and white version will be released as well.
