NCIS Mystery: Emily Wickersham Teases Bishop's Breaking of Rule 12
Wilmer Valderrama, Rocky Carroll, Gary Cole, Katrina Law, Sean Murray, Brian Dietzen, and Diona Reasonover in NCIS (2003)
Two very different mysteries are afoot this Tuesday on NCIS (CBS, 8/7c), as the team juggles the Case of the Week with helping Bishop’s three (!) visiting brothers figure out which colleague is courting their kin.

RelatedVeteran NCIS Producers Named New Showrunners

Indeed, the Thanskgiving-time episode offers a “major mix” of emotions, Emily Wickersham says in the Q&A below. In investigating a Navy chaplain’s murder, Bishop must accept some harsh realities about the Guantanamo Bay “guilty.” All the while, some familiar fellas at HQ (McGee included!) are getting grilled about possibly mixing work with play.

Most Likely To Die Review
Ah, Most Likely To Die. Another I Know What You Did Last Summer copycat. Gather some friends who hold an ugly secret and let their own demons pile the bodies one by one. Slasher 101 class in session, kiddies! It’s familiar territory we’ve seen executed time and time again, but filmmaker Anthony Diblasi attempts to school the competition despite outrageous odds. Admittedly, we’re in need of a good 90s slasher comeback, but by comparison, Diblasi’s post-graduation horror simply doesn’t make the grade. There are just too many better slasher films out there, boasting higher ambitions than “Most Likely To Deliver Exactly – And Predictably – As Advertised.”

It all starts when a group of high school buddies get together for a reunion, sharing the same swanky house. There’s Brad (Ryan Doom), a hotshot television actor, Gaby (Heather Morris), a professional poker player, Freddie (Perez Hilton), a recovering alcoholic – you get the picture.

Frightfest 2015: ‘Most Likely to Die’ Review
Stars: Heather Morris, Ryan Doom, Perez Hilton, Chad Addison, Tess Christiansen, Tatum Miranda, Skyler Vallo, Jason Tobias, Marci Miller, Johnny Ramey | Written by Laura Brennan | Directed by Anthony Diblasi

I thought that writer/director Anthony Diblasi had given up on the horror genre after he chose to helm Wuthering High School – a teen movie, more accurately a TV movie, take on the classic novel – and to be fair I thought it wouldn’t be much of a loss. You see, beyond his first film Dread, which was based on the short story of the same name by Clive Barker, I have pretty much disliked every movie he has made, including his two of his previous Frightfest-screened movies, Cassadaga and Missionary. However… and here’s where I eat my words (and my razor-edged hat if needs be) he hits it out of the park with Most Likely to Die.

With tongue placed firmly in cheek,...

Is Circle of Eight Better than Ho-Hum Horror?
Circle of Eight, from Paramont Pictures, will release on DVD as of February 2nd and despite being targeted for "young teens" the promotional material does have a hook (Horror). Circle of Eight was previously a web series on Myspace, but now the DVD will be on Netflix queues and DVD store shelves shortly. Also described by the movie review website Horror.com as "decent enough to watch all the way through, once, if you have to" and "[but] why bother?" With this stellar review you know that you will be getting the cream of the crop in Circle of Eight, but if that is not enough central character Jessica can be heard screaming her lungs out in 5.1 Dolby Digital. As well, several featurettes included in the DVD will entice some to purchase and Circle of Eight will be provided in Widescreen. All the visually traumatizing details are inside.

The synopsis for...

‘Circle of Eight’ Moves In on MySpace, What Do You Think?
On the surface the Circle of Ei8ht premiere today on MySpace is just another cool looking web series with an exclusive distribution deal. Behind the scenes however, stands one of the most complex digital entertainment deals we've seen yet, with no fewer than six companies—MySpace, Paramount Digital, Milchan/Van Eyssen, Mountain Dew, Adobe, and even Blockbuster making the show's official press release. There's even a few more, William Morris Endeavor and Endemol that had a hand as well. We dedicated some serious pixel time in August to breaking down this well-oiled conference call machine of a project in our Anatomy of a Deal feature. The business of this whole thing aside, it's now time to figure out the big question that actually matters for viewers—is this thing any good? First, there's the plot setup, which is horror flick ready with a spooky downtown La loft building full of overly attractive twentysomething artists.
