Law & Order: Organized Crime has some unexpected news. While NBC has not renewed the series for a sixth season, Deadline reports the network has instead decided to put its fifth season, which just wrapped airing earlier this year, on its original 10 Pm time slot behind Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit on September 25. The Christopher Meloni-led spin-off moved exclusively to Peacock last year for the fifth season, Deadline reports the reair on NBC will likely help the network decide its fate. The series charted in Peacock’s Top 10, peaking at number 2 over the course of its fifth season run.

Law & Order: Organized CrimeSeason 5 has come to a close, which marks the conclusion of the first full season of the Dick Wolf police procedural to air exclusively on Peacock. It was announced last year that the Christopher Meloni-led show was renewed for a fifth season, but it would take place exclusively on NBC’s streaming service. Ever since the show’s April 17 premiere, the show has maintained dominance in Peacock’s Top 10 every week. The series peaked at #2 on May 3, 2025.
Season 5's move exclusively to Peacock also came with a bump in the rating to Ma. For the most part, this means an increase in the graphic nature of violence (some of us are still a little scarred from the fingers), as well as the addition of explicit language. In a recent interview with TV Insider, Meloni talked about what he feels like the series was able to accomplish for the fifth season,...

Law & Order: Organized Crime made the move from NBC to Peacock for its fifth season, and due to the nature of streaming shows, that means it only consisted of 10 episodes. But what does Organized Crime‘s future hold? Does it have one? Read on for everything we know about a potential Season 6, from the cast to the premiere date and more. Is Law & Order: Organized Crime renewed for Season 6? Not yet. But the finale was just released, and it’s its first on Peacock. It’s not necessarily a bad sign that it hasn’t been renewed. [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 finale, “He Was a Stabler.”] How far will Stabler (Christopher Meloni) go after Julian Emery (Tom Payne) killed his brother, Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter)? Well, early on in the Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 finale, he seems very serious about setting Emery’s muscle, Vincent (Paul Gorvin), on fire to get the crime boss’ location. Stabler is out ostensibly on bereavement leave — he must really be hurting, Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt) and Reyes (Rick Gonzalez) agree — when really, he and McKenna (Jason Patric) are holding Vincent in an abandoned building. “You have no idea the lengths I’m going to go to to get what I want,” Stabler warns, covering Vincent with lighter fluid and lighting a match. “You’re in a very bad situation, but so am I. I don’t want to be here. You brought me here. You and Emery. You made ...

Editor's Note: The following article contains spoilers for the Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5, Episode 9 episode "Off the Books"
Law & Order: Organized Crime's move to Peacock for its fifth season came with big swings. Within the first two episodes, Christopher Meloni's Detective Elliot Stabler ended up being hit by the cab of a semi-truck and then slipped into a coma, only to be woken up to the sound of his brother Randall (Dean Norris) flirting with Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay). As the season has progressed, old enemies from Elliot's time living and working in Italy have reared their heads and his family drama continues. In between trying to recover from his accident, helping his son Eli (Nicky Torchia) adjust to fatherhood and his role as an NYPD cop, Elliot also wrestled with his brother, Joseph Stabler Jr. or Joey (Michael Trotter), in the wind, effectively a ghost haunting his family.

Elliot Stabler’s personal life and family have been a major part of Law & Order: Organized Crime since its second season. After her Emmy-winning guest role in Law & Order: Svu, Ellen Burstyn returned to Organized Crime Season 2 as Stabler’s mother, Bernadette Stabler. We also saw Dean Norris and Michael Trotter as Stabler’s brothers, Randall and Joe.
One of the Season 4 storylines about the family involved Elliot and Randall trying to help Joe with his drug issues. However, he rejects their help and joins criminal boss Julian Emery. He was absent throughout the fifth season until he appeared in the latest episode, Off the Books. However, he meets with a devastating fate that might push Elliot to break his moral boundaries.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 5 Episode 9 “Off the Books.”] Law & Order: Organized Crime delivers a devastating blow to the Stabler family in the penultimate episode of Season 5 — and it sets Stabler (Christopher Meloni) on a dark path. His brother, Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter), has made his way into the inner circle of crime boss Julian Emery (Tom Payne), and thanks to a call, Stabler now knows he’s in New York. But Emery tells Joe he knows his secret then brings him to see a demonstration of what happens to those who break his trust: They get killed. Emery’s been taking hits lately, and it seems he’s back in the States to reestablish himself and get a big payday with a new drug, captagon, a highly addictive psychoactive stimulant. Stabler does eventually tell Tanner (Olivia Thirlby) that his brother is his Ci and insists he trusts him. But is ...

Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) professional and personal lives are colliding as Law & Order: Organized Crime nears the end of its fifth season. At the end of the last episode, Joe called Stabler to check on their mother (who was in the hospital), and Elliot asked how he was. “Good enough,” Joe said. “Listen, no matter what happens, and it’s going to happen soon, now, Elliot, know that I love you. This hurts to see so early on in the season. Law & Order: Organized Crime just lost a regular cast member at the end of the latest episode, "Paranza dei Bambini." NBC confirms that Ainsley Seiger, who has spent the last five seasons playing Detective Jet Slootmaekers, exited the series at the end of episode three. The computer whiz detective took a leave of absence after the events of Season 5, Episode 2 "Dante's Inferno" where she's roughed up by a suspect on an undercover operation with Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni). In Episode 3, it's revealed that she was offered a job by the FBI but turned it down. When she's checked in on by Sgt. Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt), she's encouraged to take another look at the FBI's offer. This eventually leads to Jet's departure.

While Law & Order and Svu are on a break this week after their crossover, Law & Order: Organized Crime, now a Peacock original, returns with a new episode tomorrow, April 24. The new episode for the Christopher Meloni-led spin-off is "Paranza dei Bambini" which roughly translates from Italian to "the trawler of children." Ahead of the new episode, a sneak peek has been released featuring the franchise's most iconic sibling duo to date: Elliot (Meloni) and Randall Stabler (Dean Norris). While the sneak peek doesn't offer much context to the greater episode, it reminds fans that times, this franchise is actually a comedy and not just a police procedural.
To recap, the first two episodes of Organized Crime involved Detective Elliot Stabler going undercover and promptly getting hit by an 18-wheeler. The episode "Paranza dei Bambini" is set roughly two weeks after the events of "Dante's Inferno," according to Randall.

Season 5 of Law & Order: Organized Crime is on the way, and Dean Norris, known for his role as Randall Stabler, is about to get a big promotion.
The seventh series in the Law & Order franchise is about to bring Norris character to the forefront with its fifth season. According to the deadline, Norris will be a series regular starting season 5. Previously, Randall Stabler was just a recurring one, appearing in just nine of the previous 13-episode season. Now that Randall has patched things up with his brother and series protagonist Elliot (Chis Meloni), he should make several more appearances. Norris is arguably best known for his role as Hank Sharader on Breaking Bad. Some of his other acting credits include United States of Al, Claws, Better Call Saul, and even The Big Bang Theory.

Something that Law & Order: Organized Crime has done so well, and we hope it’s able to continue to do even more with the move to Peacock, is showcase the Stabler family. Detective Elliot Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) relationships with the members of his family are just as complicated as the cases he works as part of the Organized Crime Control Bureau, as was especially seen in Season 4. But considering how dark the show can get and how it was even launched as a two-parter with Svu (with Elliot’s wife’s death), we also can’t help but expect tragedy. And with the addition of two Stabler brothers last season (and us refusing to even think about Ellen Burstyn‘s Bernadette getting killed off), signs seem to point towards one of them. To say that Elliot’s relationships with his brothers Randall (Dean Norris) and Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter...

Law And Order Spoilers – Family Tension?
In Law & Order, he portrays Randall Stabler, brother to Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) and will be a series regular on the fifth season premiering on Peacock.
Apparently, his character is returning in order to help take care of their Mom, Bernadette, portrayed by Ellen Burstyn. What is the drama between these two? It goes way back an incident involving their Father years prior, though right now we don’t know what that is.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized CrimeSeason 4 Episode 10 “Crossroads.”] The Organized Crime Control Bureau now has to mourn one of its own. Stabler’s (Christopher Meloni) latest undercover operation on Organized Crime has him looking into an organization moving heroin tied to his brother Joe’s (Michael Trotter) drug use. And in order to maintain his cover, Stabler can’t react—as a montage of moments from the season plays—when he’s ordered to bury the body of none other than Detective Sam Bashir (Abubakr Ali) after he went missing connected to the case. He leans on the fact that he was a Marine (his tattoo) to let his anger out and question Angus (Stephen Lang) about it. Angus claims they had nothing to do with his death. Later, Mama Boone (Lois Smith) asks Angus, “We’re just doing Red Coat’s doing now?” He says it’s part of the arrangement he made ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Law & Order: Organized Crime Season 4 Episode 9 “Semper Fi.”] It’s not easy to make a person see that they need help, as is the case with Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter) on Law & Order: Organized Crime when his brothers, Elliot (Christopher Meloni) and Randall (Dean Norris) try to hold an intervention after finding drugs in his hotel room. Joe goes on the defensive, even bringing up how his brothers got into it at that (already infamous) Stabler family dinner and refusing any help, especially Randall’s rehab pitch. He storms out and goes to Randall’s, where their mother Bernadette (Ellen Burstyn) is staying to ask about her rainy day stash because he needs to leave town for a bit. Then, when she says she spent it, he grabs the Mickey Mantle-signed baseball and storms out. Can he stop himself from selling it in his current emotional state? “No, I don’t ...

The intervention that took place in this week’s Law & Order: Organized Crime went even worse than the one that took place in the show’s first season… which is really saying something.
As the episode’s synopsis teased, Elliot and Randall confronted their younger brother, Joe Jr., about his heroin use (and possible selling) during a tense conversation during this week’s hour. In the lead-up, El shared with Randall that he suspected Joe’s drug use began in Afghanistan. And when they broke into Joe’s place, they found needles, drugs and rolls of cash. “We’ve...

Dean Norris & Michael Trotter Talk ‘Organized Crime’ ‘Intense’ Stabler Brothers Intervention (Video)
It’s time for (another) Stabler family intervention on Law & Order: Organized Crime, and unsurprisingly, it doesn’t go well. In the April 11 episode, “Semper Fi,” Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) leans into his military network to search for the source of a Middle Eastern heroin pipeline making its way to the U.S. Plus, Joe Jr. (Michael Trotter) takes drastic action when his brothers try to stage an intervention. And as you can see in the sneak peek above, Elliot and Randall’s (Dean Norris) attempt to help their brother does not go well at all. “It’s not the easiest thing to take a junkie in a single scene and turn him into a good guy,” Norris tells TV Insider. “We have fun trying!” Joe “feels betrayed,” according to Trotter, because his brothers trick him into thinking they’re going to have a night out together. “Any opportunity [for that] he kind of craves,...

And you thought that Stabler family dinner was tense.
This Thursday’s Law & Order: Organized Crime (NBC, 10/9c) will find Randall and Elliot attempting to help Joe Jr., whom they’re fairly sure is using heroin. Given the episode’s official synopsis — which notes that “Joe Jr. takes drastic action when his brothers try to stage an intervention” — we’re guessing that this intervention will go roughly as well as Elliot’s in Season 1. (Maybe Joe Jr. will even blurt out “I love you” to an unsuspecting participant?)
