Exclusive: The UK’s National Film and Television School has selected 20 executives for the 2025 edition of the Inside Pictures business training intiative.

Participants include Consuelo Meseguer, film manager, Spain & Portugal at Netflix; and two staff members from Black Bear – Michael Colbert, SVP international finance & strategy, and Scott Sargeant, VP UK distribution.

See-Saw ups Simon Gillis to COO film and TV; Rachel Gardner to head of drama Australia

See-Saw Films has upped Simon Gillis to chief operating officer across both film and television as the company grows its business affairs and production teams.

The promotion for the London-based Gillis, who reports to joint MDs Iain Canning and Emile Sherman, comes alongside a number of new appointments.

These include Katie FitzGerald Frazer and Ellen Lister as senior business and legal affairs executives, and Emily Leach as senior production executive. Katie joins See-Saw from entertainment law firm Sheridans, Ellen from ITN Productions, and Emily from Film4.

In the Sydney office, Rachel Gardner has also been promoted from executive producer to the newly-created role of head of drama Australia.

Gardner has worked for See-Saw for the seven years, driving a slate of Australian projects such as recent Foxtel drama The End. Her move to head of drama forms part of the company’s ambition to further develop and nurture Australian talent.

Gillis steps up to the role from his prior position as COO of film. He will continue to be based in London, and will report directly to See-Saw’s managing directors Iain Canning and Emile Sherman.

The BBC has ordered a new 2x60min BBC Two series about the relationship between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and the media. The program will be accompanied by a Radio 4 podcast for BBC Sounds. Both programs will be fronted by the BBC’s Media Editor Amol Rajan, who is also set to host a new interview series for BBC Two. The interview series will see Rajan sit down with high-profile global guests from tech barons to business leaders to cultural influencers. Rajan will also be joining the Radio 4 Today program presenting team later this spring and stepping back from hosting duties on The Media Show and from presenting on BBC Radio 2.

Princess Diana Interview Documentary Series Sells Major Territories – Global Bulletin

In today’s Global Bulletin, a two-parter on the BBC’s controversial 1995 interview with Princess Diana sells around the world; “Catfish U.K.” plans to premiere four episodes on MTV U.K. this spring; See-Saw Films ups Simon Gillis to COO; Wirecard scandal film being developed; and Women in Film and Television U.K. is to expand its mentoring programs for mid-career women to Scotland and Wales.

U.K. production funding and distribution agency Drive has sold two-part documentary series “The Diana Interview: Revenge of a Princess” to Channel Nine in Australia, Reelz in the U.S., TV 2 in Norway, Servus TV in Austria, Rtl Netherlands and Tvnow in Germany, to broadcast this year.

Produced by Minnow Films for U.K. broadcaster ITV, the series focuses on the controversial 1995 interview when Diana, Princess of Wales, poured her heart out on current affairs show “Panorama” to BBC journalist Martin Bashir.
