Awarded with two Latin Grammys for best samba album for her recent works Mart'nália Canta Vinicius de Moraes in 2019 and +Misturado in 2017 - Mart'nália has been playing samba and Brazilian Popular Music since she was born, following in her father's - Martinho da Vila - steps through the samba circles of the notorious neighborhood of Vila Isabel in Rio. At a very young age, she fell in love with the rhythm and it was where she learned how to dance the samba, sing, play guitar and the tambourine. Caetano Veloso was the Artistic Director of her album Pé do Meu Samba in 2002 and songwriter of the title track, and Maria Bethânia directed her Menino do Rio album in 2006 and since then, she has been touring Brazil, Europe and The US.
