Chennai, Oct 26: Actor G. Gautham, who is the son of ace comedian Brahmanandam, made his acting debut in 2009 with Telugu romantic-drama "Pallakilo Pelli Koothuru". He is making a comeback with upcoming realistic action-drama "Basanti" in the same language.
The film, which is being directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri, will be based on realistic events.
"I did do a film in between called 'Vaareva' in 2010, but since then haven't found an exciting project. I didn't want to sign films in a hurry and then regret if they didn't do well. I patiently waited for an interesting film, and I know 'Basanti' is definitely one," Gautham told Ians.
"It's a story set against the backdrop of a college and events that pose a threat to.
The film, which is being directed by Chaitanya Dantuluri, will be based on realistic events.
