Last month, JoBlo Media and Octane Multimedia teamed up to launch a new YouTube channel named JoBlo TV, which hosts multiple feature films to watch for free throughout the week. The genres we’ll be focusing on at JoBlo TV are Action, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Thrillers – but for the month of October, we’re celebrating Halloween all month long with our JoBlotober event. It’s all horror all the time, and the latest batch of movies on the channel featured creatures and the supernatural.

New Insidious 2 movie delivered a great storyline,thrills,suspense & more. FilmDistrict released their new horror/thriller flick, "Insidious: Chapter 2" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, and thought it was absolutely excellent. Everything was explained perfectly,and it served up just as much thrills and suspense as the first installment, if not more. It stars: Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, Danielle Bisutti, Michael James Grise, and Lindsay Seim. In the new flick, the investigation to find out who killed Elise, was addressed. In the meantime, Josh mysteriously seemed to be ok after the events of the first movie. He swore, he didn't kill Elise,and it was something evil that followed him back. However, as the movie rolled along,more violent and mysterious things kept happening. Josh was discovered to be acting really weird too, talking to ghosts and telling them to leave.

When Less is More: Wan’s Sequel Does 2 Much

A follow-up to 2010’s highly entertaining old-school horror throwback Insidious seemed a tall order, yet James Wan makes a valiant attempt at bringing us a second chapter to the plight of the Lamberts, with original cast in tow. Unfortunately, Insidious: Chapter Two submits to the tired trappings of sequelitis, attempting to fill in too many holes, relate too many backstories, and remind us of too many references to the first film to properly focus on delivering the same caliber of effective scares as its predecessor. Try as they might (which is where the biggest problem lies, as nearly every aspect of the film feels like it’s trying too hard), that final, chilling gasp that echoed into the original credits cannot be recaptured; left instead are the comedic quirky flourishes to further us along.

Chicago – Writer Leigh Whannell and director James Wan reunite for “Insidious: Chapter 2,” a repetitive, cluttered, just silly variation on the first movie that will feel like a step back for anyone who admired Wan’s notable advancement as a filmmaker in this summer’s stellar “The Conjuring.”

It may seem unfair to compare but with that great ghost story so fresh in viewer’s minds, failing to note how this film does many of the same things but so much more ineffectively is going to be impossible. It’s a cover version, like so many sequels, but not just of the film before it in the series but a smash hit horror movie that makes it feel even more inferior.

One has to give Wan & Whannell a bit of credit for trying to solve the common problem of the haunted house sequel inherent in the question, “They got haunted Twice?...

Last night I was lucky enough to check out the first trailer for “Insidious Chapter 2″ the anticipated follow-up to the 2011 “Insidious.” The film is directed by James Wan from a screenplay written by Leigh Whannell.

One of the interesting things that Wan said yesterday during his Q&A was that the film will have ‘time travel,’ and that not only does the film still have that haunted house genre but it will have another one genre as well. What that other genre is…you will have to wait for the film to be released.

Later today the new trailer for horror sequel 'Insidious Chapter 2' will be with us and so to tide over our scare hungry readers for the time being we thought you might enjoy this quintet of new stills from the follow-up. The trailer premiered last night to select audience members with director James Wan on hand to intrigue fans further by mentioning that the sequel plays with time travel a bit and that we may even be moving on from the haunted house concept to an entirely different sub-genre. Another couple of new 'Insidious Chapter 2' images have arrived today this time featuring no less than eight returning cast members. Usually for a horror sequel we would expect a few drop offs due to first chapter on-screen deaths, in fact...hey, there was one! So just how and why Lin Shaye's character Elise is back stills remains a mystery at this time. Hopefully the upcoming trailer will help reveal some answers. The official Facebook fan page for 'Insidious Chapter 2' premiered another new teasing image over the weekend. It features a couple of sinister hands creeping behind the curtains and adds to the mysterious and still yet unknown setup for the sequel. The trailer is set to arrive any time now which should hopefully reveal some of these unanswered questions. CinemaCon is taking place right now in Las Vegas and many of the big movie releases of the year are being shown off by the studios attending the event. At the show are teaser posters with the logo treatments for Insidious Chapter 2 and Oldboy, along with the first character poster for R.I.P.D.

R.I.P.D. - Although no official footage from R.I.P.D. has been seen yet, the first trailer is expected to be released this week and we’ll have it for you to watch as soon as it becomes available. R.I.P.D. stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Stephanie Szostak, and Marisa Miller. The movie was directed by Peter Schwentke (Red) and tells the story of “a murdered cop that is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world”. The movie will be released to theaters on June 28th.

Yesterday you may recall that the long awaited 3D project 'I Frankenstein' was pushed back from its September slot to late January release. Thus it seems paving the way for James Wan and Leigh Whannel's horror follow-up 'Insidious Chapter 2' to move up a week in the schedule. So now Us-based audiences can expect the continuing tale of the Lambert family and their wacky astral projection adventures now on 13 September. Insidious Chapter 2 was first given an August 30th release date and then got moved back to September 20th. We now have word that you’ll be able to see the movie one week earlier. Friday, September 13th is the new release date for Insidious Chapter 2, and it will be going up against Machete Kills, Escape Plan, and Battle of the Year.

We recently covered the news that at least part of Insidious Chapter 2 will be taking place in the past, and multiple actors have been hired to play younger versions of characters from Insidious. Lindsay Seim took on the the role of young Elise Rainier (Lin Shay’s character), and I had a chance to learn about the horror movie that traumatized her as a child, preparing for the role, and working with James Wan.

Had you seen Insidious before taking on the role of a young Elise Rainier?

Lindsay Seim: I did. I’m a little bit of a chicken when it comes to horror films and tend to cover my eyes a lot. I did have friends who knew all about James and Leigh and they took me to see it.

Have you always been scared of all horror movies or was there a specific movie that traumatized you as a child?...

Actress Lindsay Seim (below) is the latest to join the cast of James Wan and Leigh Whannel's horror sequel 'Insidious Chapter 2'. Seim will play the role of the young Elise Rainier, whilst Lin Shaye returns to portray an older version of the same role. This news along with the previous casting of Jocelin Donahue ('The House of the Devil') who is set to play the younger version of Barbara Hershey's role Lorraine Lambert obviously points to some flashbacks at least which will be hopefully revealing more into the younger life of Josh Lambert (played by Patrick Wilson) when his talent for astral projection first became apparent. Some more casting news has come out of camp Insidious today. As per Variety, Lindsay Seim will now join the recently cast House of the Devil thesp Jocelin Donahue in the follow-up to the 2010 sequel which grossed $54M domestically. Seim much like Donahue, will play a younger version of a character in the film. James Wan returns to direct with Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson who will be reprising their roles as Renai & Josh Lambert. The seque…...

Sometimes casting news comes along that really hits the mark. The addition of Lindsay Seim to the cast of Insidious Chapter 2 to play a younger version of Lin Shaye's character "Elise Rainier" is pretty stellar as the resemblance is downright uncanny.

Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Danielle Bisutti, Ty Simpkins, Barbara Hershey, Leigh Whannell, Angus Sampson, Jocelin Donahue, and Andrew Astor also star along with Shaye and Seim.

Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions is producing (with Alliance financing). FilmDistrict will distribute the film theatrically in the United States, with Sony handling the majority of domestic ancillary rights. Alliance will distribute in Canada, the U.K. (through its Momentum Pictures subsidiary), and Spain (through Aurum); and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions will distribute in all other international territories.

Look for the flick in theatres on September 20th.

We previously reported that Jocelin Donahue was playing a young version of Lorraine Lambert in Insidious Chapter 2, and we know of one more person who will be joining her for a trip to the past. Lindsay Seim (pictured below) has been hired to play a young Elise Rainier in the sequel. The part was played in the first movie by Lin Shaye, who is also expected to appear in the sequel as well.

Insidious Chapter 2 may have wrapped principal photography, but that doesn't mean the casting news has stopped.  It has been revealed that Lindsay Seim was cast in the film to play "young Elise Rainier."  That's Lin Shaye's character in the first film as well as the seqel.

It appears the film will be dishing some back story on both Ms. Rainier and Lorraine Lambert, Barbara Hershey's character.  

Last month, it was revealed Jocelin Donahue was brought aboard to play "young Lorraine Lambert."
