By their own admission, 2024 was a rough year for the Black Keys. After releasing their 12th studio album, Ohio Players, the band was looking forward to a North American arena tour following successful shows in Europe. Instead, they canceled the entire tour, reportedly due to low ticket sales, and subsequently fired their management — which included industry heavyweight Irving Azoff — and PR team. Two weeks later, in a since-deleted tweet aimed at Azoff, drummer Patrick Carney wrote, “We got fucked. I’ll let you all know how so it doesn’t happen to you.

The Black Keys have announced a new run of North American dates for the spring leg of their No Rain No Flowers Tour.

The trek kicks off May 23 in Durant, Oklahoma at the Grand Theater at the Choctaw Casino and Resort, and wraps June 14 at Stone Pony Summerstage in Asbury Park, New Jersey. During the tour, the Black Keys will receive support from Swiss duo Hermanos Gutiérrez (whose last two albums Dan Auerbach produced) and London outfit the Heavy Heavy on select dates.

Tickets for all shows will go on sale Feb.

Michelle Branch and Patrick Carney have agreed to suspend their pending divorce case for six months to attempt reconciliation, a court order signed Tuesday by a Tennessee judge and obtained by Rolling Stone confirms.

The court order states that Branch, a Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, and Carney, drummer for the Black Keys, can attempt to repair their marriage without giving up any ground in the event the effort fails.

“All proceedings in this case are hereby suspended without prejudice,” the order signed by Davidson County Third Circuit Court Judge Phillip Robinson reads.

The birthday girl took to Instagram after the music man popped the question. Along with a photo of the art deco ring, Branch wrote, "Thank you for all the birthday love and wishes. Last night, right before I blew out my candles, @officerpatrickcarney asked me to marry him and then I had nothing left to wish for 34 might be the best year yet." “BoJack Horseman” creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg is about midway through the making of a new season of his critically acclaimed comedy, but he also isn’t exactly sure how he feels about it.

“Let me ask you this about art,” he said to IndieWire. “This is something I really go back and forth on a lot, and in the show we kind of go back and forth with this a lot: Do you think art is good? You know what I mean? Are we in ‘Cabaret’ right now and we’re like, distracting ourselves?”

Musical duo Tegan and Sara released the music video for their track “Hang on to the Night,” which might catch the eye of “Bojack Horseman” fans. The two rock some major similarities – especially since the star of the clip is an animated horse – and that’s because the clip was directed and illustrated by Lisa Hanawalt, production designer and producer for the Netflix comedy.

The singing-songwriting sisters reached out to Hanawalt and entrusted her with the creative direction for the video. “When [Lisa] sent me her drawings, I already felt very realized, as if she saw me,” Sara told Nylon. The song was a response to a number of sudden deaths in the sibling’s family and their anxiety about morality. The video explores, both literally and figuratively, the “regenerative” aspect of the night. “If you can manage to hang on, you can face another day,” Sara added.

Long before fans discover the dark depths of “BoJack Horseman” or pick up on the show’s nonstop assault of jokes, they first fall in love with its opening credits. After some early morning drama, Jack White and the Dead Weather headed to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert Monday to deliver their track "I Feel Love (Every Million Miles)," the first single off their upcoming LP Dodge and Burn. For Alison Mosshart and company, the visit marked the band's first live performance in over five years, with their last appearance being an August 2010 episode of Late Show With David Letterman.
