Popoz: New Kid Huub Smit Stars In The Dutch Cop Comedy
You could call Dutch cop comedy Popoz a regional response to the Jump Street films and not be too far off, though I have a hunch you'd be selling it just a touch short by doing so. Directed by Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof - the duo responsible for Dutch zombie comedy Zombibi - the feature is expanded out from the duo's Comedy Central television series of the same name which ran for a six episode series in 2013 with a standalone special following in 2014. Former New Kids and Bros Before Hos star Huub Smit takes one of the lead roles along with Sergio Hasselbaink and Noel Deelen in a cop comedy that tends towards the sort of broad, slapstick humor that...

Watch: Crazy Violent Dutch Zombie Comedy 'Zombibi' Official Trailer
Are you ready for something really crazy, and I mean it this time? Our friends at Bloody-Disgusting have found an official trailer for a Dutch zombie comedy called Zombibi that just looks nuts, absolutely insane. Not only is there bloody violent zombie mayhem galore, but there's also big sci-fi visual effects, a guy with a humongous gatling gun taking out zombies, lots of decapitation, and everything else you can imagine. More European zombie chaos at its finest! This doesn't have subtitles, but it doesn't need any, they use the damn Pirates of the Caribbean trailer music which doesn't fit, but it doesn't matter, it's wild enough. Have fun! Watch the first official trailer for Martijn Smits & Erwin van den Eshof's Zombibi, from YouTube: The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Amsterdam Gets Completely Zombified in the Upcoming Horror Flick Zombibi
Generally speaking, meteorites kind of suck. When they’re not violently obliterating major cities, these evil otherworldly rocks are transforming innocent human beings into flesh-eating zombies. Such is the case with director Martijn Smits and Erwin van den Eshof upcoming Dutch horror flick “Zombibi”, a film which chronicles such an event with a healthy dose of culture clash humor. The embedded trailer is fiendishly gory, and should appeal to those of you who can’t stop watching “Shaun of the Dead” every other week. You know who you are. Read this quick synopsis before proceeding: The bizarre story takes place in Amsterdam-West, where a virus turns people into bloodthirsty zombies. Although much blood is flowing and many limbs chopped off, there is a lot to laugh at in this bizarre horror comedy. “Zombibi” stars Achmed Akkabi, Rik Sinkeldam, Gigi Ravelli, Sergio Hasselbaink, Mimoun Ouled Radi, Yahya Gaier, Noel Deelen, Wouter Braaf,...

In retrospect that entire first paragraph really makes my head hurt. Anyway ... yeah! What we're talking about here is Shouf Shouf Zombibi, Erwin van den Eshof and Martijn Smits' new zombie comedy from the Netherlands starring Achmed Akkabi, Mimoun Ouled Radi, and Yes-r.
