Wit Studio has teamed up with Google Play to produce a new short anime commercial series titled Becoming Overpowered With Google Play?! Reincarnated as an Android User (Google Play De Cho Muso?! Tensei Shitara Android User datta).

The series premiered on June 16, 2025, and will run through July 21, with new 15-second episodes released weekly on Google Play’s official YouTube channel and X.

The anime follows a gamer who suddenly finds himself reincarnated into Google Play World, where gaming skills are revered. Now wielding an Android smartphone, the protagonist experiences one envy-worthy event after another in this gamer’s paradise.

The main character, Ando, is voiced by Daiki Yamashita, best known for his role as Deku in My Hero Academia. Other cast includes Shiori Izawa as Guma and Marina Inoue as Nekomaru.

After a decade in development, “Jujutsu Kaisen” helmer Park Sunghoo is readying “Bullet/Bullet,” a high-stakes anime series premiering exclusively on Disney+.

The post-apocalyptic adventure follows Gear, a junk dealer with a secret double life as a thief. Partnering with Qu-0213, a multi-personality robot, and Shirokuma, a gambling-addicted polar bear, the trio operates as elite thieves-for-hire until rescuing a mysterious girl puts them on a collision course with their society’s power structure.

Park, who recently won best original anime at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, directs from a script by Aki Kindaichi (“Uma Musume: Cinderella Grey”). The production features character designs by chief animation director Takahiro Yoshimatsu and concept/mechanical designs from Hidetaka Tenjin.

Marina Inoue voices protagonist Gear, with Kazuhiro Yamaji as Shirokuma. The cast also includes Rie Kugimiya as Nosa-Nee and Kana Hanazawa as Kaw-Nee.

Rapper Chanmina contributes the opening theme “Work Hard,” while Tokyo rock band Newspeak provides ending theme “Glass Door.

The studio behind JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and Fire Forcehas officially landed a Crunchyroll Summer 2025 release date for its upcoming anime-original isekai series, as announced alongside a brand-new trailer.

Per a press release, the next anime series from David Production, Onmyou Kaiten Re:Birth Verse,has officially picked up a July 2 release date on Fuji TV -- it will also stream the same day on Crunchyroll. The series is set to drop readers into a new isekai world and features a star-studded voice cast including Taihi Kimura (The Beginning After the End), Maaya Uchida (DanMachi) and Ryouhei Kimura (My Happy Marriage). We’ve known for some time that the Japan-based Korean animator Sunghoo Park is working on an original anime project titled Bullet/Bullet, which seems to be a promising blend of sci-fi and adventure.

And while information related to the project has been scarce, we have received a new trailer that confirms the cast members for the upcoming anime, as well as the July 16, 2025 premiere date on Disney+.

Golf-themed anime Oi! Tonbo returns for a second season this fall, bringing with it a new setting and new characters! Today, we meet two new characters who will debut when the action moves to Kumamoto Prefecture. Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman in Attack on Titan ) will play Hinoki Otoha, Tonbo's new rival. Originally created by Naoko Takeuchi as Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon in 1991, the popular manga series was published monthly in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine until its conclusion in 1997. Apart from being translated into multiple languages across the globe, the Sailor Moon manga also saw two anime adaptations, one live-action TV drama, and multiple stage productions in Japan. Despite its worldwide success, Sailor Moon has also seen its fair share of controversy between the '90s and 2000's for its inclusion of queer relationships and gender-fluid characters like Sailor Uranus and the Sailor Starlights.

While countries outside of Japan infamously censored Sailor Moon's queer characters in their localizations, only the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars anime (the most queer-heavy season that adapts the manga's final Stars storyline) was never brought to the US until two decades after its release in Japan.

In the context of Dragon Ball, Krillin is practically a joke character. He can't go Super Saiyan God, use Hakai or destroy entire timelines with a flick of his hand. But he's earned the title of Strongest Human Being in the World. Even though he's in the lower tier of Dragon Ball Z and Super, Krillin is still leagues above almost any other anime character out there.

That's not to put down the other characters, though. As always, there's more to a good anime than just super strong, over-the-top powers. But when it comes to raw strength, Krillin can take on any Titan, devil or vampire out there.

Attack on Titan's Eren Yeager has received the teddy bear treatment courtesy of legendary toy brand Steiff. The new merchandise, released by well-known merchandiser brand Garrack, were created in celebration of Attack on Titan's 10th anime anniversary.

Per shopping site Uwith, German toy brand Steiff, who are credited with producing the very first commercial factory teddy bears in 1880, have officially released a teddy bear based on Attack on Titan's Eren Yeager. Standing at 26 cm tall, the bear comes with an attached shirt and jacket modeled after those of the iconic character, as well as a removable green cloak emblazoned with the crest of the series' Scout Regiment. As for the bear itself, the model used is based on Steiff's long-running James bear.

The online store for major anime streamer Crunchyroll has announced the Blu-ray release date of Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters, set to ship in both standard and limited-edition versions this coming fall.

Via a press release, fans can now pre-order Attack on Titan: The Final Chapters in both Standard Blu-ray and DVD versions, as well as in the stunning Limited Edition Blu-ray + DVD box. A Reddit user who goes by the username stan616 (u/a1ndrea) uploaded their impressive Minecraft x Attack on Titan creation on the r/gaming forum. According to the user, it took two months to build the Shiganshina District with the creation tools in Minecraft. "It took exactly 67 days, and around 500 hours," stan616 said. Some commentators broke down the hours stan616 spent creating the Attack on Titan location in the game and estimated that it took said user "8 hours every day for 67 days," or "7.4 hours per day."
