Every Tight End Drafted Before Aaron Hernandez In 2010
Image
Warning: Spoilers ahead for American Sports Story.

The new FX series American Sports Story portrays Aaron Hernandez's behind-the-scenes experience during the 2010 NFL Draft. Josh Rivera leads the American Sports Story cast as Aaron Hernandez, the former collegiate and NFL superstar tight end who was convicted of murdering semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd in 2015. The first two episodes of American Sports Story capture a basic understanding of Aaron Hernandez's complicated upbringing, tumultuous family life, and accelerated path to becoming a Florida Gator before joining the NFL's New England Patriots in 2010. American Sports Story episode 3 chronicles Hernandez's celebrity status and religious considerations at the University of Florida.

American Sports Story episode 4 "Birthday Money" depicts more of the details of Hernandez's transition from being the 2010 John Mackey Award winner to having his draft stock plummet ahead of the NFL Draft due to off-the-field concerns. Even though Hernandez was talented enough to become a first-round draft pick,...

Carson Palmer in All or Nothing: A Season with the Arizona Cardinals (2016)
Amid all the serious coverage of the NFL with backlash against President Trump’s negative comments about players, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer added a little fun back to the game. The former USC Heisman Trophy winner arrived to Monday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys wearing an inflatable unicorn costume. Yep, that’s a 37-year-old married father of two and pro football player attached to a pink and white fantastical creature, as captured by NFL on Espn’s Twitter. NFL's Patrick Peterson -- Your T-Rex Costume ... Looks Like a Penis (Video)
[[tmz:video id="0_7txpwb79"]] Apparently, Arizona Cardinals superstar Patrick Peterson is going as a Dong-asaurus for Halloween.  For some reason, Pp sported the costume in the Cards locker room -- and Qb Carson Palmer documented the jurassic shenanigans.  Palmer included the caption, "@realpatrickpeterson loses another one" -- apparently, he lost some kind of intersquad competition ... where the loser has to dress up in something stupid.  Who cares. He looks like a penis. Ha.  Read more...

[[tmz:video id="0_cbx3q6ed"]] Carson Palmer's teammates still have his back -- especially superstar defensive end Calais Campbell -- who says the Qb is still a Warrior who just had one bad day at the office.  Palmer got all sorts of heat after throwing 4 picks in the Nfc championship game -- but clearly, his teammates aren't throwing him under the bus.  But the best part of this encounter is when the 6'8" 310 pounder admitted he tried Stand-up Comedy a few years ago!

Jordan Peele Can't Believe NFL Quarterback Fined for Single Celebration Thrust
Jordan Peele
Actor and comedian Jordan Peele is not happy with the NFL and its decision to fine Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer for a single thrust he gave in celebration last week. Fans of Peele's former Comedy Central show, Key and Peele, know from one of the duo's most popular sketches — the video has more than 12 million views on YouTube — that it is only a penalty or fine if the player gives three thrusts while celebrating. Palmer was fined more than $11,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct for the gesture he gave during Arizona's victory over the Seattle Seahawks, according to numerous reports. { "nid": 807365,

NFL: From Worst To First? Why The Nfc West Might Now Be The Best Division In Football
It was only a few years ago that the Nfc West was considered the worst division in the NFL, and all of pro football for that matter.

It was the laughing stock of the whole league as the Seattle Seahawks won a divisional title with a 7-9 record, becoming the first team ever to make the play-offs with a losing record back in 2010.

Fast forward a couple of years and it is difficult to picture how the Nfc West could be transformed into arguably the best and most interesting division in the NFL, as we approach the start of the 2013 season in a little over a weeks time.

The situation was so dire that a genuine discussion was held about whether the governing body of the league needed to alter – or at the very least look at – the seeding system for the play-offs.

Now as the long off-season prepares to draw to a close,...

NFL: 5 Quarterbacks Who Could Lose Their Starting Job
Every year we see teams go in a different direction at quarterback. Whether it’s the fact that teams want a younger quarterback under center or maybe their current quarterback just isn’t getting the job done. Even though the 2013 NFL season hasn’t started yet, there are plenty of quarterbacks who are in danger of losing their job.

With free agency and the NFL Draft in the books teams have added quarterbacks to their roster to compete for the starting job. This usually means that the franchise is uncomfortable with their quarterback situation and need to find an answer quickly. We will see new quarterbacks take on the responsibilities and we will see others take a seat on the bench or even get cut. So let’s look at 5 quarterbacks who could lose their starting job in the 2013 season.

5. Carson Palmer

It was hard to put Palmer on this list,...

USC Qb Matt Barkley -- How's My NFL Draft Status?
Wanna see an awkward conversation with USC quarterback Matt Barkley about the highly controversial topic of his possibly deteriorating NFL Draft status? Great! The college football star was leaving an event in Santa Monica last night when we asked if he thought he would still be a Top 10 pick when the draft rolls around in April. Of course, before the season started Barkley was a favorite to the #1 overall pick ... but after a less than...

NFL Week 5 Recap: Judas Leads The Nfc
Your Weekly NFL Recap, in the form of stupid pictures: Bears 23, Panthers 6 Judas: Sold out the Son of Man for 30 silver pieces, leading to his torture and death. Julius Peppers: Signed a 6-year, $91.5 million free agent deal with the Bears, a common occurrence in sports, resulting in the death of zero faiths’ gods (just the imminent firing of John Fox). I’m not sure the analogy is totally applicable. Plus Judas hadn’t lost a step by the time he took the silver pieces. Titans 34, Cowboys 27 Right now, Dallas is that Broadway Musical that your parents want to see because they recognize a lot of the actors in it from tv shows, and you have to remind them that just because they’ve heard of the people, that doesn’t mean they’re actually good. Buccaneers 24, Bengals 21 And the Buccaneers are now 3-1. And Carson Palmer is essentially no longer a starting NFL quarterback.

Video Game Review: ‘Madden NFL 11’ Wins Championship Again
Chicago – It must have taken a lot of guts to suggest radically altering one of the most successful video gaming franchises of all time. The “Madden NFL” series of video games are as influential and wildly popular as any on the market. With loyal fans lining up at midnight tonight to buy their new copy, the developers at EA Tiburon merely had to update the rosters and spit out last year’s edition before they counted their money. But they have taken a risk by releasing “Madden NFL 11,” a title significantly altered in several key ways that could throw some diehard players off their game until they realize that it’s the best football release in years.

Video Game Rating: 4.5/5.0

The first difference that players will notice is a visual one. “Madden NFL 11” looks amazing. The last couple of editions have been a bit stagnant in the graphics department but...
