Vaughn McClure, who covered the Atlanta Falcons beat for ESPN, died this week at his home near Atlanta. He was 48 and no cause of death was revealed.

A former Chicago Tribune and Chicago Sun-Times sports writer, McClure joined ESPN in 2013 to cover the NFL, and became the Atlanta Falcons beat writer. He covered the team during its run to Super Bowl Li in 2017, where it lost to the New England Patriots. He also contributed to ESPN’s television and radio coverage of the Falcons and the NFL as well.

“We all loved Vaughn,” said John Pluym, senior deputy editor for digital NFL coverage at ESPN. “He had a heart of gold. He was so helpful to our reporters. In the last few hours, we’ve heard so many stories about how Vaughn had helped them with a story or how he put in a good word for them with a coach or player.

Chicago -- Former Playboy Playmate and actress Jenny McCarthy says she is no longer romantically involved with Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher.

McCarthy, who is from suburban Chicago, released a statement Friday that said: "Brian and I have decided to turn our romance into an amazing friendship. I will continue to be the biggest cheerleader for him."

McCarthy recently confessed she'd fallen hard for a co-worker in Costa Rica, where her new show was filmed, and has since been spotted out and about with the Chicago Bears hunk - leading gossips to link Urlacher to the show.

The Scream 3 star has now cleared up the dating rumours while promoting her new series, which will hit TV screens in America this summer.

She tells Access Hollywood, "I made out in the wild, but I didn't find love there. But now I'm doing Ok."
