Co-directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein, Final Destination: Bloodlines is the sixth film in the popular Death-moves-in-mysterious-ways horror franchise, following the fifth instalment, back in 2011. As such, the directing duo are clearly fans of the series, because they deliver everything audiences could conceivably want from a sixth (and probably not final) Final Destination movie, even managing to give the mythology a satisfying little tweak in the process.
The time-honoured opening sequence takes place in the 1950s, where young Iris (Stargirl’s Brec Bassinger) finds herself in a horrific disaster at the top of a newly opened high-rise restaurant. At the moment of her death, the film cuts to the present day, and it transpires that college...

Exclusive: Odeya Rush has been cast as a series regular opposite Patrick Dempsey, Michael Imperioli and Richard Harmon in the new Fox drama series Memory of a Killer, from Warner Bros Television and Fox Entertainment, which is slated to premiere in midseason.
From writers Ed Whitmore and Tracey Malone, Memory of a Killer is inspired by the award-winning 2003 Belgian thriller De Zaak Alzheimer (La Memoire Du Tueur) and follows Angelo Ledda (Dempsey), a hitman who is leading a dangerous double life while hiding an even deadlier personal secret: He has developed early-onset Alzheimer’s.
Rush will play Maria, Angelo‘s daughter. Married young and pregnant, it seems she’s chosen a quiet life. But something stirs in her – a yearning for adventure. Might she be a chip off the old hitman block? Angelo is Maria’s everything, so when his mind begins to falter, she’s right there by his side to care for him.

After a 14 year hiatus, the Final Destination franchise returned this year with Final Destination: Bloodlines – and movie-goers were clearly missing these movies, as Bloodlines has quickly become the highest-grossing entry in the franchise. The previous record holder, 2009’s The Final Destination, reached $187 million, but the new sequel has left that record in the dust, pulling in over $283 million. Franchise producer Craig Perry produced the new movie alongside Spider-Man: Homecoming, Spider-Man: Far from Home, and Spider-Man: No Way Home director Jon Watts – and now, Watts has confirmed that he would be glad to work on another film in the Final Destination series.
Watts got his feature directorial debut with the Eli Roth-produced horror movie Clown, so it wasn’t shocking when he decided to circle back to the horror genre to produce and write the initial treatment for Final Destination: Bloodlines. Final Destination Bloodlines co-director Zach Lipovsky has finally revealed the reason why they decided to scrap their initial plans to include Kimberly Corman in the latest installment of the hit supernatural horror franchise. Kimberly Corman was the main protagonist of 2003’s Final Destination 2, which featured one of the franchise’s most iconic death sequences, whose character was later portrayed by A.J. Cook.
During a recent interview with ScreenRant, Lipovsky confirmed that their first draft of the screenplay included a Corman cameo, which would have taken place in the same scene as William Bludworth’s appearance. However, they eventually removed Kimberly from the scene in order to give highlight to Tony Todd’s character. “It could definitely work in the future. It was actually something that we essentially killed. The first draft that we read—you guys are good at that,” Lipovsky said. “Yeah, the first draft that we read had them finding.

Final Destination: Bloodlines has proven to be a massive success for Warner Bros., and has now become the highest-grossing movie in the franchise with a $187+ million global box office haul.
Highly positive reviews are sure to have helped, as are some incredibly inventive, shocking, and downright gruesome kills.
Though the opening Sky View premonition sequence is arguably the highlight of the movie, the "lawnmower death" that befalls poor Uncle Howard has to be a close second. The carnage is brilliantly orchestrated, with several fake-outs building towards Howard falling backwards into the oncoming blades of the lawnmower.
The studio has now shared a behind-the-scenes look at Howard's brutal demise, which relied heavily on practical VFX. We also have some BTS photos of the bloodied cast members.

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for ‘Final Destination Bloodlines.’]
Mid-way through his conversation with IndieWire, Richard Harmon paused for a passing truck. Already on location for his next movie, the “Final Destination Bloodlines” actor stepped offset in sunny British Columbia to pick apart his performance as Erik Campbell in Warner Bros.’ hit reboot.
Directed by Adam Stein and Zach Lipovsky, the sixth installment in New Line’s beloved freak accident franchise is the best movie of its kind. It also has one of the funniest and most relatable characters in the series: a magnetic fan favorite Harmon was destined to play but who the actor calls “misunderstood.”
“I’m not bad, just drawn that way,” he quipped on behalf of them both. A testament to Harmon’s kaleidoscopic talent — and a fitting ode to the friendly 2000s faces genre fans once had to loiter in Hot Topic to meet — the hilarious alt sweetheart is a great excuse to quote Jessica Rabbit.

The Direct's Russ Milheim sat down with the cast and creatives behind Final Destination: Bloodlines to discuss the absolutely crazy deaths that the sixth entry in the iconic horror franchise brings to the table. While Bloodlines flirts with the idea of multiple characters (all within the same family) cheating death itself, as one would expect, it never works out, and everyone dies in spectacular, gory fashion by the time the credits roll.
The complete list of the talented folk The Direct spoke with includes Brec Bassinger (Iris Campbell), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (Stefani Reyes), Teo Briones (Charlie Reyes), Rya Kihlstedt (Darlene Reyes), Richard Harmon (Erik Campbell), Owen Patrick Joyner (Bobby Campbell), Anna Lore (Julia Campbell), Adam Stein (co-director), Zach Lipovsky (co-director), and Craig Perry (franchise producer). Final Destination: Bloodlines is now playing in theaters.

Long-time Final Destination producer Craig Perry has shared his least favorite movie from the horror franchise. He was also a producer on the coming-of-age comedy American Pie.
The revelation was made in an excerpt from Entertainment Weekly journalist Clark Collis' upcoming book titled, Screaming and Conjuring: The Resurrection and Unstoppable Rise of the Modern Horror Movie. He states that Perry admitted that 2009's The Final Destination was the worst one in the franchise. "I don't think the fourth one is good at all, actually it sucks," Perry said.
The Final Destination centered around a college student who receives a deadly premonition at an auto race. He managed to avoid the disaster along with his girlfriend and two other friends. Most fans and critics actually seemed to agree with Perry's sentiments about the fourth movie, since it is currently the lowest-rated movie of the franchise on Rotten Tomatoes, with only 28%.

Now playing in theaters, Final Destination Bloodlines is loaded with carnage candy, but there’s one particular kill scene that we selected as the movie’s very best for a reason.

It’s the death of fan favorite character Erik Campbell (Richard Harmon) that hurts the most, with the lovable asshole literally sucked into an Mri machine, folded in half, and gorily speared through the torso by a metal wheelchair that’s sucked in behind him. In an article this week, Jenn Addams calls it “one of the most brutal executions in franchise history.”
Jenn describes the gnarly hospital scene, “An Mri machine surges to research level power. Metal objects begin hurtling forward including the multiple piercings adorning Erik’s body. Earrings, nose rings, nipple rings and a Prince Albert all rip through his tender flesh, but they’re nothing compared...
