‘Chicago Med’ Boss Teases Asher & Archer’s ‘Complicated’ Journey in Season 11 After Baby Cliffhanger
Image
After that jaw-dropping cliffhanger that revealed that Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) is actually pregnant and it appears Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) could be the father, we had to ask Chicago Med executive producer and showrunner Allen MacDonald to describe in five words these two’s journey this season. His answer: “complicated.” And he repeated it five times. That’s certainly a good way to describe the dynamics at play on the NBC medical drama, returning for its 11th season on Wednesday, October 1. Asher’s relationship with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) fell apart while he was going through some things, eventually hitting rock bottom, being suspended, and then saving a woman and her child in a well. That woman, Sadie (Holly Curran), came back in the finale, showing up at his door, suggesting that just as Asher may have moved on with Archer — it’s unclear just what...

'Chicago Med’s Love Triangle Isn’t Going Anywhere in Season 11 BTS image
Image
Of the three shows that make up the One Chicago franchise, Chicago Med arguably had the best ending last season. Season 10 ended on a massive cliffhanger in an unexpected bait-and-switch that left us guessing who Hannah's (Jessy Schram) Baby Daddy is. We're all dying to know the answer, and soon the puzzle pieces will fall into place with Season 11 scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 1. Production for the new season is now underway, as confirmed by star Schram in a social media post. The post, which has sent the fandom buzzing, included a behind-the-scenes selfie featuring actors Luke Mitchell andSteven Weber, who play either of Hannah's potential baby daddies, Mitch Ripley and Dean Archer.

"And now, back to work we go," Schram captioned the photo on her story, which was later reposted by the official One Chicago Instagram account with the teasing caption, "Things are happening over at Chicago Med.

“If You Follow the Breadcrumbs”: ‘Chicago Med’ Star Weighs In on Hannah's Baby Daddy Mystery
Image
The Chicago Med Season 10 finale left viewers in suspense about the identity of the father of Hannah Asher's (Jessy Schram) baby. This puzzle is complicated by the fact that some things in the characters' lives take place offscreen. The strongest candidates are Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Dean Archer (Steven Weber). There are objections to both, but they cancel each other out. However, it's not that complicated for Weber. "I think if you follow the breadcrumbs, you’ll see that it’s most likely that Archer is the father," the actor told Deadline at the Atx TV festival when they asked him the question. He explained:

"A few episodes back, I think it was in “The Book of Archer,” he and Hannah have an equally ambiguous encounter. If you relax for a second, it makes sense that they might have hooked up or connected in some way that is interesting and challenging.

‘Chicago Med’s Steven Weber Doesn’t Need Maury To Know Who Fathered Asher’s Baby; Talks Evolution Of His Character & Love Overcoming Fear – Deadline Q&a
Image
Baby news on NBC’s Chicago Med and Chicago Fire has fans in a tizzy since watching the show’s respective season finales.

To ease some tension, Steven Weber, who plays Dr. Dean Archer on Chicago Med, answers many of our burning questions about the finale, plus shares insight into what Season 11 could look like.

In review, the recent Season 10 finale of Chicago Med saw Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) knock on someone’s door, to reveal that she is pregnant. The set-up was a bit of trickery, leading viewers to believe Asher went to see her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mitchell Ripley (Luke Mitchell); however, the final beats of the episode showed it was Archer on the other side of the door.

The baby wasn’t planned and took Asher by surprise, but perhaps not as shocking as it was for Archer and the viewers, who never knew the colleagues had ever hooked up.

Chicago Med season 11 will bring back at least 1 or 2 original cast members
Image
It seems a few original characters could be returning to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center next season on Chicago Med!

After making a point to bring back several familiar faces in season 10 with the returns of Mekia Cox and Rachel Dipillo, showrunner Allen MacDonald is looking to bring back even more familiar faces in season 11. In fact, it seems he’s already reached out to a few cast members and is in active conversation with the former stars.

“I can say that yes, we’re going to hopefully have some original cast members come back,” MacDonald teased in speaking with TV Insider about plans for season 11.

Yes, that’s cast members plural, as it seems there are moves being made to bring back a few familiar faces who have since left the show! Elaborating upon his promise to bring back some familiar faces, MacDonald hinted that the intention is to bring...

"There Seems To Be Something": ‘Chicago Fire' Star Pitches a Crossover Romance With 'Chicago Med' Character
Image
The 2025 One Chicago crossover introduced viewers to never-before-seen duos across the three shows. It gave rise to some interesting interactions, including potential romances. Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon) is known for speaking her mind; when she fancies someone, she will pursue that person. The crossover had her and John Frost (Darren Barnet) working together, and some chemistry was established. Chicago Fire's Hudon thinks a cross-show romance akin to Mouch (Christian Stolte) and Trudy (Amy Morton)'s would be great for Lizzie. "She shows up on [Chicago] Med and flirts with John Frost, so I feel like that’s also a relationship for them to explore as well, Darren on Med," the actress said when asked if Lizzie's future includes Severide's (Taylor Kinney) brother, Damon (Michael Bradway). She added:

"I don’t know what way they’re going to go with love and trust for her, because I think her and Frost get along really well.

Chicago Med boss hints fans will be divided over who the father of Asher’s baby is
Image
When Hannah learned that she was pregnant in the final moments of the penultimate episode of Chicago Med, fans immediately jumped to the conclusion that Ripley was the father of the baby. It was an understandable leap to make as Ripley and Hannah had previously been together, so the assumption was that he was the father. Well, we should know better than to assume.

In the Chicago Med season 10 finale, Hannah and Ripley had a conversation about the weight that comes with being a parent and how you’d do anything you can for your kids. The conversation seemed to be moving along nicely, and then Ripley went and told Hannah that having a kid makes you wonder if it’s really worth it. The comment created some understandable concern for Hannah, which we could see clearly painted on her face.

As the episode ended, we saw Hannah knocking on a door,...

Chicago Med Season 11 Will See The Return Of 1 Or 2 Original Characters
Image
Chicago Medshowrunner and executive producer Allen MacDonald teases the return of a few familiar faces. Heading into Chicago Med season 11, which has already been renewed by NBC, the popular medical procedural has already established a habit of bringing back former cast members when the right story calls for it. Original cast member Rachel Dipillo reprised her role as the psychiatrist Sarah Reese, in addition to The Rookie's Meika Cox coming back as Robin Charles. Going back further, the One Chicago series has included surprise returns for Torrey DeVitto and Yaya DaCosta.

In recent comments to TVLine, MacDonald teased that Chicago Med season 11 will feature the return of a few original characters. Although the executive producer doesn't mention any specific names, he does point to Sarah Reese's return as an example of the kind of return that audiences can expect in the upcoming episodes:

“I intend to bring back another original cast member or two,...

Chicago Med Plots Returns of More Original Cast Members Next Season
Image
Chicago Medis set to bring back more original cast members for Season 11.

Speaking to TVLine, Chicago Med showrunner Allen MacDonald confirmed that he intends "to bring back another original cast member or two, like I did Sarah Reese, and that is in the works." While there was no obvious sign as to which original cast members MacDonald might have in mind, Colin Donnell, Nick Gehlfuss, Torrey DeVitto, Brian Tee, and Yaya DaCosta have all departed Chicago Med since making their debuts in the series' first season.

Chicago Med is the third entry in the One Chicago franchise created by Derek Haas, Michael Brandt, and Dick Wolf. In the series' recently concluded tenth season, Rachel Dipillo returned in a reprisal of her role as Doctor Sarah Reese, who left Chicago Med back in Season 4. Doctor Reese's exit from the series was particularly harrowing, as it came alongside the revelation that her...

"This Is a Possible Conundrum": 'Chicago Med' Showrunner on the Identity of Hannah's Baby Daddy
Image
The Chicago MedSeason 10 finale was supposed to answer some questions, but it came and went, leaving fans without answers on one of the latest developments for Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram). Who is the father of the baby she's pregnant with? And no matter how much TV Insider tried, they couldn't get the truth out of showrunner Allen MacDonald. "I’m not going to comment on that," he said when asked if the visit to Archer (Steven Weber) meant he was the father. "I will say that I think Hannah needs to process this in one way or another. Archer is someone who she feels very safe speaking with. I think when Hannah feels destabilized that Archer is a stabilizing force for her and vice versa," he added.

If Archer is truly the father, Hannah and Ripley (Luke Mitchell) will drift further apart. And if he decides to pursue a...

"They Just Texted Me": 'Chicago Med' Showrunner Teases Former Cast Members Returning in Season 11
Image
When Allen MacDonald took over as showrunner for Chicago Med, one goal was to bring past characters back into the Ed. "One of the unique opportunities of this One Chicago world is that you can bring these older characters back and have them come through the Ed again," he said at the beginning of Season 10. The season brought back Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel Dipillo) and Charles' daughter Robin (Mekia Cox), but the showrunner is not done with this endeavor yet. He revealed that he is working on new returns for Season 11, and he's been in touch with past doctors. "And they just texted me," he shared with TV Insider, but wouldn't reveal who it was. MacDonald explained where this desire to bring back past characters comes from, saying:

"I have said before that I’m very much a believer because I am a TV fan – when I was a teenager...

'Chicago Med' Showrunner Teases "Brilliant" Potential Season 11 Storylines
Image
Chicago Med set up some storylines for Season 11, as some characters were left pondering recent personal and professional developments in the Season 10 finale. The new season will build upon these, though it's unclear how just yet. "I don’t want to tease too much because it’s not 100% clear yet," showrunner Allen MacDonald admitted to TV Insider when asked what's on the horizon for Gaffney's team. "And I’m afraid I’ll say things that we decide not to do because I have all these ideas in my head that I’ve been discussing with the other writers, but when we start the writers’ room in a few weeks, what often happens is I think I have this brilliant idea and I find that I have a very smart, high-level, experienced staff that have better ideas and then I will go with that immediately, so things aren’t clear." However,...

Which ‘Chicago Med’ Original Cast Member Do You Want to Return in Season 11? (Poll)
Image
Chicago Med brought back two familiar faces at the end of Season 10 with Sarah Reese (Rachel Dipillo) and Robin Charles (Mekia Cox), and there could be more coming. When TV Insider spoke with showrunner Allen MacDonald about the Season 10 finale, we had to ask if he has any plans to bring back any more past doctors next year, and he revealed he does. “And they just texted me,” he shared. “Because I am a TV fan — when I was a teenager and I watched the medical show St. Elsewhere, I used to just get so excited when they brought somebody back they hadn’t seen in a long time. And I think there’s a fear in storytelling, television specifically, that if you bring back old characters that you’re kind of going back into the past and not being in the present. But I think life is both.” He continued,...

‘Chicago Med’ Boss Talks Game-Changing Hookup Reveal In Season 10 Finale; More Romance Ahead
Image
Spoiler Alert: The following reveals major plot points from NBC’s Chicago Med‘s Season 10 finale “Don’t You Cry.”

Tonight’s episode of NBC’s Chicago Med has one of the most jaw-dropping endings to a season in recent One Chicago history. Okay, this might be a little hyperbole, but the final beats of the Season 10 finale reveal a hook-up that fans have longed for, but was thought to have been abandoned as a storyline.

Okay, if you’ve read this far, you want the news spoiled.

Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) has been undergoing tests, hoping that she could serve as her sister Lizzie’s (Erin Anderson) surrogate. Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) reacts less than positively to the news.

“You don’t owe her this level of personal sacrifice,” he tells her in “The Stories We Tell Ourselves.” And she snaps back, “Look, I didn’t ask you for your analysis.

Chicago Med Boss Fuels Hannah & Archer Romance Theories After Asher's Pregnancy Twist
Image
After the reveal that Hannah Asher is pregnant going into the Chicago Med season 10 finale, showrunner Allen MacDonald is suggesting that fans should question the identity of the child’s father. The Chicago Med cast are no strangers to romantic indecision. Plenty of characters in all One Chicago shows have been frequently in and out of relationships, and NBC’s top-rated drama Chicago Med isn’t setting out to break that trend. But Asher’s pregnancy complicates her own relationships quite a bit.

Hannah’s had a rough go at romance in Chicago Med season 10. Things with Ripley were already difficult before he lost Sully and fell into a drunken depression. Her friendship with Archer got a boost after that, and the timeline for Hannah’s pregnancy seems to line up with the episode in which she made Archer dinner. According to showrunner Allen MacDonald, fans are meant to question...

"The Audience Should Definitely Be Questioning”: ‘Chicago Med’ Showrunner Says Hannah's Baby Daddy Might Not Be Who You Think
Image
In Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21, "Baby Mine..." Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) discovers she isn't eligible to be a surrogate for her sister because she's already pregnant. While the news would be welcomed with open arms in many instances, the discovery presents numerous problems that the gynecologist must deal with in the season finale. She must inform her sister of the development and figure out who the father is. The obvious answer is Ripley (Luke Mitchell), with whom she was dating, but the show hinted that she might have had a thing with Dean (Steven Webber).

"I think the audience should definitely be questioning [who the father is],” showrunner Allen MacDonald told TV Line while previewing the May 21 finale. For one, Ripley and Hannah's relationship timeline doesn't match for a pregnancy, and it was never confirmed whether she and Dean hooked up when he showed up at her door. So when some viewers speculate that...

"The Danger Is Very Real": 'Chicago Med' Showrunner Teases Walter's Fate in the Season 10 Finale
Image
Chicago Med Season 10 has been a blast from start to (almost) finish. After Episode 21, "Baby Mine...," saw a competition for lungs for a cystic fibrosis patient become painstakingly tense, it seems the effects of such a traumatic experience are set to take their toll on one character in particular. Walter, played by the returning guest star Sam Trammell, is about to see life flash before his eyes as desperation-induced rage threatens to put lives at risk in the upcoming Season 10 finale. After Noah lost his spot at the top of the list for lung donation, Walter's level-headedness has gone out the window. Furious and frustrated, Walter is set to bring a gun into the ER, with Dr. Frost (Darren Barnet) being the one in charge of defusing the situation.

A parent's desperation for the safety of their child is something all too relatable for many Chicago Med fans. With that in mind,...

Chicago Med EP: Viewers ‘Should Definitely Be Questioning’ Who Is Hannah’s Baby Daddy
Image
If you think you know who the father is of Hannah’s unexpected bun in the oven on Chicago Med, think again.

During last week’s episode, the Ob-gyn discovered that she can’t be a surrogate for her sister because she’s — surprise! — already pregnant. The last person Hannah dated was Mitch Ripley, so that would make him a likely baby daddy candidate… except for the fact that, as many TVLine readers have pointed out, the two split up quite a while ago. And if that timeline doesn’t add up, then who is the mystery man that knocked up Hannah?...

Chicago Med ended the penultimate episode of its 10th season with a surprise reveal: Hannah’s (Jessy Schram) pregnant! She got the news after she was undergoing tests to see if she could be a surrogate for her sister, Lizzie (Erin Anderson). Now, we have so many questions, including who the father is. Is it her ex-boyfriend Ripley (Luke Mitchell)? Someone else? “I have very little to say about the father’s identity,” is all showrunner Allen MacDonald will tell TV Insider ahead of the Wednesday, May 21, finale. But he does share more about Hannah’s headspace after that news, and while it may have looked like she was unhappy, that’s not necessarily the case. “I don’t think she’s happy or unhappy. Dr. Lenox Guns for a Colleague in 'Chicago Med' Season 10, Episode 21 Promo
Image
Many characters have been cautiously approaching Dr. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) since she arrived at the ER at the beginning of Chicago Med Season 10. She is a tough personality who doesn't care whose feelings are hurt if it means improving service delivery. She's used to people tiptoeing around her, so when Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines) challenged her during this year's One Chicago crossover, Lennox was pleasantly surprised. One would have figured that either Dr. Hayes was very courageous or there was something odd about him. A sneak peek of Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21, "Baby Mine..." hints at the latter when an allegation against Hayes is lodged. Meanwhile, Maggie (Marlyne Barret) and Frost (Darren Barnet) fight to get a pair of lungs for a young cystic fibrosis patient, Hannah (Jessy Schram) learns whether she can become a surrogate, and Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Morris (Lee Jones) treat the daughter of a tech billionaire battling leukemia.

NBC Bets on Windy City First Responders as It Renews Three ‘Chicago’ Shows
Image
NBC will keep loading its Wednesday primetime lineup full of first responders from the Windy City.

The network says that it has picked up new seasons of Chicago Med, Chicago P.D. and Chicago Fire, which are all part of its “#OneChicago” franchise. Chicago Med is currently in season 10, Chicago P.D. is in season 12 and Chicago Fire is in season 13, with NBC touting the drama franchise as the most watched on TV (in Live + 7 Day viewing).

It is an unwritten rule that every network needs to have a medical series in its weekly schedule. For the last decade, Chicago Med has been one of the most popular representatives of this genre, but after NBC granted a Season 2 renewal for St. Denis Medical and said nothing about the One Chicago shows, fans were understandably worried about the future of their favorite shows. But today, the matter has finally been resolved: Chicago Med is returning for Season 11.

The renewal will allow Chicago Med to reach a milestone: the 200-episode mark, which not many shows achieve these days. There's still a lot to happen in the series, though, and showrunner Allen MacDonald (CSI) has already been pretty clear about how Season 10 will end. According to the writer and producer, Chicago Med will send Season 10 off with "big shocks" and "lasting ripple effects." MacDonald had also previously joked that it...

Gaffney's Nurses Stage a “Sick-out” in 'Chicago Med' Season 10 Sneak Peek
Image
Only three episodes remain before the curtain falls on Chicago Med Season 10. As the beloved medical drama heads into its final stretch, tensions are mounting, seemingly building toward the "big shocks" and "lasting ripple effects" teased earlier by showrunner Allen MacDonald. Like its fellow One Chicago series, Chicago Med has entered yet another hiatus, but fans can rest assured that this will be the final break before the season wraps. The series returns in two weeks, picking up right where it left off with escalating friction between two of Gaffney’s most important figures, Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) and charge nurse Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett). NBC has released a synopsis and a sneak peek for the upcoming episode, titled "The Invisible Hand," which hints at Gaffney teetering on the edge in the aftermath of Maggie and Sharon’s confrontation.

The previous episode, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves," spotlighted the...

"It's going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!" Since we have such an enticing lead to go on, we figured we'd go through the list of characters who are still alive, and determine how likely their return would be.

Chicago Med is finally giving us the Archer spotlight we've been waiting for
Image
Dean Archer (Steven Weber) used to be somebody Chicago Med fans cheered against. He was on the right side of Gaffney Medical Center's staff, but he was often antagonistic and manipulative of those he worked with. He gave Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) a hard time for years, and he was skeptical of Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and her ability to maintain sobriety.

Now, however, Archer has become one of the most beloved characters on the show. He's softened since his promotion to full time cast member, and allowed himself to be more vulnerable with those around him. Especially Asher. And Chicago Med's upcoming episode, "The Book of Archer," is the culmination of this character arc.

Archer will be the focus of the April 2 episode

The promo sees Archer undergo an especially difficult day on the job. He gets hit with intense case after intense case, and the promo gives...

Archer Faces a Nightmare Shift in 'Chicago Med' Season 10, Episode 17 Promo
Image
Dean Archer (Steven Weber) has been trying to improve himself after all the changes in Chicago Med Season 12 pulled the rug from under his feet, but the world is making it hard for him. All the calm and composure he's mastered goes out the window in Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 17, "The Book of Archer," when Ms. Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) leaves him in charge of the Ed for a day, and it overwhelms him. "Charles (Oliver Platt) and Archer treat a heart transplant patient who believes his new heart doesn't want to be in his body; Lenox (Sarah Ramos) takes a personal day; Asher (Jessy Schram) discovers a mass on a pregnant woman's ovary," reads the official logline for the April 2 episode. NBC released a sneak peek of the episode, previewing Archer's nightmare solo ride.

"Be careful what you wish for" is something Dean should have been told. He has...

“It’s Always a Dangerous Thing”: ‘Chicago Med’ Showrunner Responds to Frost/Maggie Romance Rumors
Image
New relationships have developed in Chicago Med Season 10 with the addition of new characters. Dr. John Frost (Darren Barnet) has developed friendships with several coworkers, including Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Nurse Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett). His interactions with the latter began as purely platonic, but as time passes, there have been lingering looks, leading viewers to think something might develop between them. TV Line caught up with Chicago Med's showrunner, Allen MacDonald, and inquired if the show aimed to go in a romantic direction with Maggie and Frost. "We’ll have to see on that," MacDonald said, neither confirming nor denying the perceived romance. However, he cautioned against that direction for the characters, saying:

“It’s always a dangerous thing, if you have a friendship, to cross that line, but it’s also a very dramatic place to go. So that’s what I’ll say about that.

'It's Always a Dangerous Thing': Chicago Med Showrunner Hints at Possible Romance for Maggie and Frost
Image
Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 10 saw the end of the relationship between charge nurse Maggie Lockwood and Trauma Surgeon Helicopter Pilot Dr. Loren Johnson. Their split left fans curious about Maggie's potential future relationships, particularly with her friend Dr. John Frost.

While the end of Maggie and Loren's relationship had been hinted at, it still came as a shock to fans who felt their fallout was out of nowhere. Per TVLine, a fan would ask, "Will Maggie and John's Chicago Med friendship shift into something more now that she and Loren are broken up?" Series showrunner Allen MacDonald would respond to this question, stating, "We'll have to see on that." He continues, "It's always a dangerous thing, if you have a friendship, to cross that line, but it's also a very dramatic place to go. So that's what I'll say about that."

While MacDonald neither confirmed nor denied if that would become a plotline,...

Chicago Med boss teases "dangerous" development between Maggie and Frost
Image
It's been a tough season for romance on Chicago Med. There have been tons of breakups among the various employees at Gaffney Medical Center, which can oftentimes ramp up the tension during work situations. Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) was the latest character to put the kibosh on her relationship, but she may just be gearing up for another.

Med fans have noticed that there's a pretty strong bond between Lockwood and Dr. John Frost (Darren Barnet). They have camaraderie on the Gaffney floor, even when the going gets tough (as is standard). And since the romance between Lockwood and Loren (Henderson Wade) is kaput, fans suspect that Lockwood and Frost could be a real possibility.

Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 15 Review: Ripley Finally Learns His Lesson
Image
The following contains major spoilers from Chicago Med Season 13, Episode 15, "Down in a Hole," which debuted Wednesday, March 5 on NBC.

Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 15, "Down in a Hole" feels like a relief, because it seems to end the show's most frustrating storyline. The NBC medical drama diverts from normal by moving most of its action outside Gaffney Chicago Medical Center, and succeeds in creating lots o tension. But what's most important is its use of character -- including one from Chicago Fire.

"Down in a Hole" is the brainchild of Chicago Med showrunner Allen MacDonald, and most viewers will be able to guess quickly which real life situation the plot is based on. But the medicine is actually secondary in this case; in fact, there are only two patients of the week, both tied to the same case. MacDonald is primarily focused on getting Dr. Mitch Ripley out of a proverbial hole,...

"We Have Talked About It": 'Chicago Med's Showrunner Teases Dr. Frost's Family
Image
Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) might have made the biggest impression in the Chicago Med Season 10 premiere, but she wasn't the only new person in the Ed. Dr. John Frost (Darren Barnet) was also hired at Gaffney, but much about the character is unknown. He's a former child actor turned pediatrician who has managed to hide his private life. However, Chicago Med's showrunner Allen MacDonald told TV Line there are plans to dive more into the character's background even though it's not a done deal. MacDonald said it "remains to be seen" whether his family will be explored but affirmed, "We have talked about it." His final answer was, "I’m not sure yet, but I will have to decide that very, very soon.”...

Chicago Med boss hints major storyline for Frost could be coming: 'We have talked about it'
Image
Season 10 has been a season of change for Chicago Med in many ways. This season we’ve seen a few new faces entering the mix both behind and in front of the camera, which has honestly led to one of the show’s strongest seasons to date.

Creatively, the show has been churning out some amazing storylines this season not only for the show’s veteran cast members but also the season’s newest additions: Caitlin Lenox and John Frost. These two new characters are truly unlike any we’ve seen on the show in the past with backstories unlike any we’ve seen before which has helped make the two characters immediately stand out among the audiences.

Frost, in particular, has a storyline that is fresh and has opened the door for some fun storylines already this season as a former child star turned doctor. Through the initial episodes of the season,...

Chicago Med boss teases romantic arc for new doctor and [Spoiler]
Image
Chicago Med has been crushing it in season 10. The medical drama is topping Chicago Pd in ratings, and is nipping at the heels of Chicago Fire. When all three shows came together for a crossover, Med came out on top with the highest viewership.

Despite this achievement, some fans lamented the way Med characters were worked into the event. Some felt that because there is not a strong central romance within the show, that it was given less emotional stakes than its peer shows. Well, that might just change with the return of a character we recently met.

"Possibly a Romantic Side”: 'Chicago Med' Showrunner Teases Lenox's Relationship With Another Doctor

Chicago Med's new Ed co-head, Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos), makes an impression on everyone she meets. The impression is usually negative, but who can blame a woman for wanting to see people do their jobs well and efficiently? It has not made her popular with her coworkers at the Ed, and much of her private life is unknown. However, that might change soon, given some comments showrunner Allen MacDonald made to TV Line.

One Chicago schedule: What order will new episodes air on NBC tonight?
Image
One Chicago made some notable changes to its schedule for the January 29 crossover event. The regular order of shows was switched around, so that Chicago Fire kicked off the action instead of airing second, behind Chicago Med. Chicago Pd, as always, held down the third and final time slot.

This change proved confusing to some fans, especially those who were tuning in expecting to see Med, only to see Fire characters interacting with people from the other shows. This sizable change raises the question about the One Chicago schedule moving forward. Will NBC continue to tweak its Wednesday lineup or will it resume its usual order?
